realize racism is a system of oppression thats baked into every corner of western society and that capitalism can not function without people of color being en masse exploited, subjugated into near constant austerity and severe unhealable generational trauma

Yes and singling out white people, calling us privileged, and saying that we don’t even try to understand what some people of color go through, is racist as well.
Racism is an ongoing trend. And it’s not something that is propelled by whites alone. Everyone should be mindful of what they say. Everyone should be careful when singling out an enire race. As someone who believes in freedom and compassion for all, I’m tired of seeing white, blacks, Asians, or anyone being singled out and framed as bad. I usually don’t like getting up on my soapbox and gettting all political, but since I’ve started tumblr, i haven’t seen a single postive post about my own race.
Whites have culture. There’s germans and irishmen (me!) And russians. There’s histories and traditions that we all have. Just like asains and africans.
Be mindful of what anyone (including you) says about an entire race. Don’t you dare just say “well white people… And that’s why racism is a thing.” Racism is still a thing because people immediately assume I’m racist because I’m white. And trust me, its very upsetting. Considering me, and most people I know, don’t give a FUCK about skin color, language, or culture. Hating on all whites and saying we has a whole are racist and don’t understand is pretty oppressive. It’s sterotyping us. We don’t pretend we don’t know about history and the mistakes we made. We know. We intend not to do them again.
And the color of your skin does not lessen your changes of being successful. Capitalism literally gives everyone a change to be successful. That’s shit that’s in the past. Really. No one fucking cares about skin color, well that’s not true because immediately assuming I’m a racist snob because I’m white shows that brown people care about skin color too. You immediately put me in a catagory because of my race. You are literally doing something you claim to hate.
If you want to stand against racism, stand with us. Whites are against it too. We are not all bad. We are human. We can stand together. I don’t care if you’re brown, so why do you care that I’m white? We all bleed red folks. Don’t lump my entire race into a huge negative category and then blame us for the current racism.
Racism is a race hating on a race different from them. That can be whites hating browns. Browns hating white. Asain hating mexicans. And mexicans hating Africans. Racism is just something all white people inherently exhibit. Racism really doesn’t just stem from whites. It stems from people hating on and sterotyping an entire race.

thoughtfully-drinking-coffee White people do have significant privilege, unless you’re homeless/poor that holds up. Therefore, asserting that is not racism in the least. Privilege is also used to uphold racist conditions...sooo... Yes whites have cultures, but in America we are by and large scrubbed of them, so our culture becomes “Privilege, oppression, and getting abhorently drunk on March 17th”. If we hold on to our respective cultures, great! But we still have to recognize our privilege. On a semantics note, the Russian Federation spans many cultures, some of which are Turkic,Khazak, Mongol, Uhygur, Hun, Kyrgyz, Tuva and Caucasian, and very few people would consider these ethnic groups “ white” if “white” means Nordic, Slavic, Celtic, and other European groups (which it’s usually taken to mean). Also if you DON’T lump white people into the “Historically Violent and Oppressive Basket” you probably haven’t read enough history, payed the least bit of attention to whatever People of Color have said about our treatment of them, or you just don’t want to believe anything bad about your own racial group. ALSO HOW THE FUCK DOES CAPITALISM REMOTELY GIVE EVERYONE A CHANCE TO BE SUCCESSFUL? As the narrative states, sure it supposes you *could* bootstrap yourself above the poverty line but that’s a unicorn. Predatory loans to go to college/get a house/buy a car really help everybody get ahead! Landlording and gentrification really help everybody get access to housing SUPER EASY! Lack of medical care for all make sure we all stay healthy and happy! Good fucking lord man, clean your head.
