I'm just a girl who wants to spread positivity, and believes that the world is in need of more people to advocate such things. I am a Feminist who is always learning.

Let's get one thing straight

When I'm talking about problems for women (like how they are treated unfairly by peers and held to a different standard than men) I am in no way saying that men do not have issues as well. Just like when I say that global warming is a problem, I am not saying that animal abuse isn't. So for all the people that chime in saying "well men have problems too," I didn't say they didn't. And I would love to talk about how unjust I believe it is that guys aren't allowed to show emotion without being deemed as weak as well as other issues. But I want to talk about them when it isn't being used as a point against the talk of women's issues. In conclusion, just because I'm talking about one issue does not mean I don't believe there are other issues.

You know it's a sad world we live in when people react more poorly when you say you're a feminist than they do when someone says some sexist comment.

When I hear this I automatically cringe. I don’t want to hear that until the following happens: •i can walk down the street without worrying about cat calling. •i can wear as much or as little makeup as I choose to. •i can choose what I do with my body without being shamed. (ex. shave or not) •i can wear what I am comfortable in without being called derogatory terms. •i can succeed in life without being referred to as the successful wife of whomever I marry. •i can be taken seriously in the workplace and learning environment. •people stop saying “how do you expect to find a man if you…” •people stop associating my feelings of anger or sadness with my period. •men can cry without it being a big deal. •men can dress however they like to. •men can wear makeup if they wish. •fathers can be treated equally and not as “helpers.” •boys are allowed to be (appropriately) affectionate with their father without judgement.

It’s funny how girls are considered women only when it’s convenient.

I was a woman when I got my first period. I was a woman when I started wearing my first bra.

But the second i decided that I wanted to wear that crop top, i was just a foolish girl. And the second I wanted to have sex I was just a naive girl that didn’t know what she wanted.

Stop telling females they are women when it’s convenient for them to act older. And stop telling females they are just girls when it’s convenient for them to be too young to do something or to know what they want.

Consistency and accuracy needs to start because I am done having other people controlling me and telling me who and what I am aloud to be.

Sorry, I happen to find sexism in our society an issue that needs to be changed (and by saying that things need to change for women I, in no way shape or form am saying that that doesn't go for men too) . I just don't really care about what's easier, but thank you for your opinion.
