What a curse it is to date a K-pop idol. Given the free time they have, which isnât much, dating a K-pop idol is like talking to a brick wall.
But Martin is always trying to make time for you. He would take you to the studio with him, and you guys would stay there for hours making random beats and listening to him make a random song, and at the end you always end up laughing.
After his practice, he would come over to your place with boba for the both of you, and you guys would play Roblox and Fortnite together. Eventually, he would get ragebaited by the kids on Roblox in Baddies, but then again, you thought it was hilarious. Or sometimes you two might not play games. Sometimes you two binge-watch a show together⊠like Bridgerton, but that ended horribly.
Martin gasps as he looks at the âContinue Watchingâ on Netflix. âYou finished it without me?â He turns to look at you. You immediately defend yourself. âYou were gone at Fashion Week for a week⊠I needed something to watch.â
He blinks at you. âItâs literally called Fashion Week⊠how dare you? Thatâs why I watched Enola Holmes 3 without you,â he says, turning back to the TV, and now you gasp. âYou said weâd watch it together.â
âHow ironic. Itâs the pot calling the kettle blackâŠâ
Other times, you would walk to a random convenience store with him, and you would buy a lot of snacks, and by the end of the night youâll be complaining that your stomach hurts, and Martin will just laugh at you and tell you he told you so.
But tonight⊠you were alone. Itâs been 24 hours exactly since you texted Martin, still no text back. You kept checking your phone every time it lit up, just for it to be Instagram telling you someone shared an Instant⊠stupid fucking Instagram notifications.
Moments like this are why you wouldnât recommend dating an idol, even to your worst enemiesâŠ
But the small moments with Martin make moments like these feel smaller than the time you spend with him.
Even though all your friends think youâre delusional and keep telling you to break up with him because you deserve someone who makes time for youâŠ
Youâd never break up with him because of his lack of time. At the end of the day, itâs not his faultâheâs booked and busy, and youâre just in love, no matter how little time you get to spend with him.
