There are no words that can describe how much I love cakeverse cause the writing material is vastly more interesting than the omegaverse. Don't get me twisted (ha ha like twisted wonderland), I like some of what is done but a good majority is slop, and don't get me wrong I like some good sloppy gruel. Or the author glorifies a toxic relationship or stuff like babytrapping, it's of similar reasons why I despise Jinx (the bl).
The omegaverse deserves so much better writing than the toxic bl tropes that end up glorifying disgusting stuff. There will always be this bad writing in every subsect but it's very very prominent in the omegaverse.
That aside, the cakeverse doesn't really play on gender roles since anyone can be a cake and anyone can be a fork. The basic lore is tight enough that you do have to follow certain rules, but it'd loose enough for millions of interpretations.
I can eat this up for decades: you're telling me that they loose their taste over the years until it's dull? You're telling me that once they get a taste of a cake they basically loose their marbles cause it's the first thing they've tasted in years? Along with that, they are seen a monsters even if that fork hasn't hurt a soul. And then the cakes can be written to be "babied" cause people see them with pity and that they are unable to protect and fend for themselves. Chef's kiss.
It's been like 4 weeks since I've played persona 5, the withdrawals are insane cuz im procrastinating downloading the mods again(I had to add more storage to my pc). I have the itch to play a dmc game at the same time... life's just not fair. 😔
Not even including that the controller I hook up to my pc has the most dog water, gum at the bottom of my flip-flops battery that I have to charge every day even when it's off.
