One of the most frustrating things about having fairweather parents is how you assume that it's rude to ask people for anything that could even slightly inconvenience them. Then, one day, you have no choice but to ask, then they start saying, "Why were you so worried about asking me for that like it's some big deal or something? Just ask next time before you get like this, lol" Then you stare off into a blank space as you realize that your friends(and even some acquaintances) care more about you than your parents, that you weren't too much after all, it's apparently ok to ask for help, and your parents were the ones who put too much on you and not the other way around.
