For all its faults Tumblr has truly ruined all other social media for me because my friends all have Instagram and are all trying to get me on Instagram more but every time I open Instagram there are like fifteen things screaming for my attention and when I get over myself long enough to start scrolling it's like. Where is my chronological dash. Where is the following-only option. Who are these people. Why are there so many videos. Everyone is screaming at me. And then before I know it I'm thirty minutes into scrolling and I haven't seen a single thing that I actually care about. At least on Tumblr when I see stuff I don't care about I know someone I follow has found a new interest.

Both of them grew up on an Island they wanted to leave to explore the world outside just like Moana did. Sora and his friends even planned to do it by SAILING away. Not to forget that both of them are now seperated from said island

Sora is trying to make his way back home just like Moana is trying to find the way to her destination

Additionally the whole plot of Moana is about RETURNING A HEART (arguably it is the heart of the world, even!!) and if that's not THE most kingdom hearts plot in the world idk what is. Moana and Sora are on parallel journeys to the point where genuinely I think in KH-verse she's simply Gotta Be A Keybearer. Both are: feeling stifled by home and wanting to leave to have space to grow up, planning to sail away, guided by memories and spirits of loved ones at their darkest points, frequently sidetracked into shenanigans in mysterious technicolor worlds, compassion wins. There is a useless duck/chicken throughout the journey. Thematically they have in common: horizons, navigation (also stars), loss and return of hearts)

AND ALSO a Tamatoa heartless would fuck severely. I want that boss fight so bad.

I really do appreciate kingdom heart’s commitment to using old cutscenes in flashbacks. Even if the graphics have since gone through a massive change like in kh3. You want an Aqua memory? Let’s go experience the PSP together again then. More games should do this, it gets funnier the older the series is. Can you imagine a Zelda game that chronologically happens after Zelda 1 and Link has a flashback to his 8-bit self
