SHABANA AZEEZ and SUPRIYA GANESH at the Grand Opening of Anita Dongre Beverly Hills (x)
SHABANA AZEEZ on Victoria Javadi & her mom on Collider Ladies Night
knowing that Michaela is already canonically in love with Fran is soooo fucking buzzy... like when she's teasing Fran about her puzzles? she thinks that's adorable. when they're arguing? she thinks that's hot. when they're giggling together at the breakfast table? she has fucking butterflies, she's kicking herself for having such massive unwieldy feelings for someone so impossibly unavailable, she's giddy just to be in her company, she hates herself for desiring her cousin's wife, she is falling deeper and deeper in love with the sound of her laughter. and Fran's just there like Yay :) I made a new friend :) John will be so pleased! :)))
their confessions are going to blow every other couple's out of the waterrrr NOBODY is ready for what's about to be on our screens
Dahling you simply must read this book! It’s all about this devious little caterpillar who simply gorges himself on all manner of divine things
we simply cannot have the big brown doe eyes of the Pitt discussion without her
we simply cannot have the big brown doe eyes of the Pitt discussion without her
it's insane to me that donnie donahue doesn't have more hype like okay mr gorgeous brown eyes big ass muscles loving father and husband who shows up and gets his job done well ily. and goddd the "death and chaos" tattoo after pittfest and then the "miracles and blessings" after his daughter was born ohhh crying donnie donahue they cannot handle your empathetic well adjusted soul genuinely one of the most likable people on this show
“ *Insert blank* is the villain of The Pitt ” my brother in christ, idk what show you are watching, but the only villain I see is the american health care system
Unpopular opinion time but I don’t particularly care for Medschool Rabbot. I understand the appeal of the whole lifelong soulmates thing, but to me it’s so much more romantic that Jack and Robby found each other later in life.
Like these are two men in their late forties/fifties who have already survived so much grief and guilt and loss between them that it’s practically calcified into them. Their lives are already fully formed by the time they meet. Entire histories exist before Jack or Robby even enters the other's picture.
And then suddenly they meet, and it changes the entire cartography of their lives.
That’s what gets me about them. Not that they were always destined to be together or that they're bound to one another because they've known each other for decades, but because of the fact that, after the tragedy has come and gone, they still have one another to look forward to, even though they don't know it. Jack, who has every reason in the world to retreat into himself, will still allow Robby close. The fact that Robby, who carries so much grief and self-recrimination, will still let himself be softened by Jack anyway.
There’s something profoundly hopeful to me about the idea that your life can crack you open fifty different ways and love can still arrive afterwards. That desolation is not the end state of a person. That love does not become less meaningful because it came later; if anything, I think it becomes more meaningful, because they know exactly what it costs to keep living long enough to reach it.
Take my hand, I'm going to say something that will seem obvious to some people and completely foreign to others. If a show you like stops being fun or enjoyable for you to watch, it's okay to stop watching. You can stay in the fandom even if you don't watch it. You can leave the fandom if that also stopped bringing you joy. It's okay for your interests to change. It happens to everyone. Even the most hyperfixated person in the world will find a new hyperfixation eventually.
What isn't okay is making your changing interest everyone else's problem. You don't need to post a million times about how bad the show is and how it would be better if they did XYZ. You don't have to keep doing things that are no longer fun.
I say this as someone who has been in at least ten fandoms over the last decade. You can leave and come back. You can stay on the outskirts and just read/look at the thing you enjoy. You can leave entirely and never look back. You can be in several fandoms at once. There are very few rules in fandom, but one of them, maybe the second most important (right behind don't be a fucking bigot) is have fun. If you aren't having fun, I'm begging you to step back and find something that is fun for you.
i really feel like every episode this season should have been 4 episodes. except the 4 episode opener. which should have been 1.
If T makes you gain weight and E and antidepressants do it too, and so does enjoying good food and not being hungry all the time, then perhaps maybe sometimes joy & weight gain come hand in hand and that's good
it's really funny how the entire world basically just blew the fuck up six short years ago and nobody wants to admit that that may have had some lasting consequences lmao
like so much of Everything today is premised on the idea that the earth-shattering catastrophe which happened within living memory of everyone older than a third grader has had no meaningful material or psychological effects on the general public and i don't think that's good, lol.
"(some of) the top-line economic indicators (sorta) recovered (in most places) so everything is fine and we don't need to talk about it" is not a sustainable framework for interfacing with reality
"why is everyone so angry and paranoid now?" "why is politics so dysfunctional now?" "why is [x] [y] and [z] now? blah blah blah"
2020:
#the unofficial motto of tumblr dot com
It's so funny to see people talk about Tumblr culture as if it's dead. We are still here. Just as bad as always. But I just saw someone say that the superwholock days were toxic and things are better now. And I'm sitting here with the knowledge that the only reasons I'm not getting someone telling me to die on a weekly basis because of my opinions on a show is because my inbox is closed. Guys, the Tumblr fandom culture is here, alive, just as toxic, only with less reblogs.
It’s extremely fucked up that some ppl try to make you feel stupid and immature for hoping for a better world. You say you want world peace and mfs think you need a pacifier; dawg, I just don’t want ppl dying from violence. This idea that ppl simply must die as casualties of war is misanthropic to say the least.
