Local Deaf-run non-profit cafe totally robbed.
Hi everyone, in my town there's only one business left that's entirely staffed & owned by Deaf people, & they got cleaned out overnight. Everything is gone, from the cash, food, laptops, to the tech they use to communicate with community members who can't sign.
This cafe has been giving free meals to people who've lost their SNAP benefits under the current administration, no questions asked. They were giving free meals to public school teachers when they needed it. They are a non-profit that runs on a financial deficit & all they do is give to the community.
They are asking people donate through their Zeffy campaign (where you can buy their merch! I have a tote bag). Please consider donating &/or spreading the word.
