"Male as default"
Women??? Exist????
march!! spring is so close!!
The right: hey we’re gonna take all women’s rights away <3
The left: there is no such thing as a “woman”...
The right: hey we’re gonna take all women’s rights away <3
The left: does it include trans women?<3
The right: hey we’re gonna take all women’s rights away <3
The left: remember to be inclusive, transmen and nonbinary people exist :)
The right: We’re gonna ban women from getting abortions <3
The left: Hey! Use “birthing people” instead >:(
puttering around the house is an underrated form a self-care. make some tea or coffee. put on a podcast. sort the mail. tidy some pillows and fold some blankets. start the laundry. thaw some soup. just casually wander around aimlessly doing little things to make your space and life a little nicer. who cares if you get distracted or only do a little. you aren't being productive. you're puttering.
Godddd I hate when tims go into women’s online spaces with their whole ‘🥺 I hope I’m welcome here uwu 🥺🥺🥺’ schtick like no you’re not, fuck off please.
stephenie meyer, greatest mind of our generation, talked about this
Women have only begun to test the waters in the pool of freedom.
We’ve dipped our toes in the waters of self-autonomy, just to be greeted with the very same warmth that past generations could only dream about.
But the thing about warm waters is that you get used to them. Today, a large amount of women truly do not understand just how newborn their rights are; how lucky they are to not be forced into male dependence.
So, take a long look at some key milestones from when you were granted the status of being human.
1920 - Women gain the legal right to vote.
1965 - Voting Rights Act ensures all women are legally allowed to vote.
1972 - Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibitions sex discrimination in any educational programs, allowing women to receive the same education as men.
1974 - Woman gain the legal right to open a credit card in their own name.
1993 - Martial rape is criminalized in all 50 states, making it illegal for husbands to rape their spouses nationwide.
It makes sense as to why men are panicking and falling into depression en mass. For the first time in history, we truly DO NOT need them. In fact, the inverse is true.
Gone are the days in America where they were nearly guaranteed a spouse to buy & own; one they could rape, lobotomize, and drug into obedience. And that scares them.
For the first time in history, women aren’t forced into legal codependency. We have been left to evaluate men based on their character and it shows. Our separation has allowed us to truly see them for what they are.
They will continue to panic, and we will continue to flourish.
Postmodernism has people like everything is okay as long as nobody is harmed btw ive changed the definition of harm and the criteria is very high now. And it’s ok to hurt people if they’re damaged enough to want to be hurt. We have no responsibility to not hurt people. But if you say words I personally think are bad that’s literally the worst possible thing one could do and you’re a fascist now. Like people will literally defend incest and then denounce someone as a fascist for using the word “degenerate” we genuinely live in the craziest society possible
everything is problematic yet nothing is unethical
We already knew men felt this way, it's kind of satisfying when they actually openly admit it. They really see misogyny as normal and natural
The only reason they feel this way is because males are at risk of being victims of racism, homophobia, and/or transphobia. There is zero risk of a male being the victim of misogyny. So in their minds, it’s okay.
men always tell on themselves.
Men don't care about women. never did. never will do.
"Misogyny doesn't hurt REAL people"
acting like it’s criminal for feminism to center on female liberation is like walking into a microbiology lecture and asking why they’re not teaching English lit too. no one said other causes aren’t important, they’re just not what we’re talking about here unless it’s in the context of how they affect women and girls. “intersectionality” means the intersection of other axes of marginalization with the axis of being female. it does not mean feminism has to try to address everything everywhere all the time. maybe do some deep thinking about why you are particularly indignant towards women focusing on our own problems in our own spaces we’ve created when you don’t do that to any other movement. not only is it a distraction technique from people who either consciously or unconsciously don’t see female liberation as being an equally important cause, but also it’s subtly misogynistic to corral women back into an expectation that we should take care of everyone else (which inherently requires taking less care of ourselves)
I seriously don’t understand the cognitive dissonance and mental gymnastics progressive people do to defend porn. Like, the big majority of them will fully recognize the affect media has on society. If you say something like “the lack of fat women on TV creates unrealistic expectations on women”, most will nod along. If you say “always portraying gay people dying by the end of a show will factor in the isolating feeling of lesbians and gays”, they’ll agree. But if you say “porn makes society see women as sex objects that exist exclusively for male pleasure” suddenly it doesn’t make sense? Suddenly porn is something completely apart and separated from consumed media and somehow impossible of influencing anyone? The same logic can not be applied because… what? 🤔
Because apparently women love being treated as sex objects it’s empowering and feminist and stuff
sometimes i love instagram bcos i never go looking for this kind of stuff on purpose but it will randomly show me reels like this w like 200k+ likes ... like YESSSSSS !!!!
no h8 to the person whose tags these are and im just explaining but yes if my own bf called me a gendered slur in the heat of the moment out of anger/frustration then he does not respect me and i dont want to be in that relationship
What dimension are you bitches from?
The one where bitch is often the last thing a woman hears before she's murdered.
Taylor Swift says "please don't call me a bitch" and the internet wishes death on her and she's canceled for years. Sean Combs rapes and abused women and the public supports him.
Rachel Zegler is "rude" (not even true) and the internet wishes death on her and tried to ruin her career. Brad Pitt abuses his wife and kids and everyone goes to see the F1 movie.
Beabadoobie and Doechii make slightly man-critical posts and men hate on them and send death threats. Chris Brown sends Rihanna to the ER and is now on a sold out tour.
Blake Lively burps in an interview and speaks out about sexual harassment and she's sued to oblivion and ridiculed. Johnny Depp abuses Amber Heard and faces almost zero punishment (meanwhile Amber herself suffers immensely).
Billie Eilish covers her body and says it's to stop perverts from sexualizing her when she's underage, then feels confident and wears more revealing clothes, then covers up again, and men dehumanize her and hate on her for her clothing choice. Kanye West forces his girlfriend to wear a see through dress on the red carpet and says she's underage his "dominion" and people still say "but he made good music" and "it was her choice!"
Taylor Swift writes a few feminist songs and men hate her and want her dead. Kanye West has revenge porn in his music video and says "He*l Hitler" (i don't even want to type it im sorry it makes me sick) in one of his songs and his career is all right.
The Chicks (formerly The Dixie Chicks) said something slightly critical about George W Bush and were run out of the music scene. Dr Luke rapes Kesha and is still producing albums.
Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake participate in that nip slip performance. Justin Timberlake's career is just fine. Janet Jackson's suffers.
Lindsay Lohan suffers from drug addiction and the world makes massive fun of her (even after she got clean!). Ben Affleck, John Mulaney, Jon Hamm, etc have gotten drug treatment and were fine! Male talk show hosts like Fallon are on coke and abuse their employees and no one complains.
Sinead O'Connor speaks out about sexual abuse in the church, she's hated on relentlessly. Vin Diesel has rape accusations and is beloved.
Winona Ryder shoplifted and was blacklisted. John Travolta is a rapist and is still beloved.
Beyoncé gets shit for feminist songs. The Weeknd songs about raping a lesbian and Tyler the Creator sings about raping pregnant women and they're fine!
"cancel culture" has really only affected women who are slightly rude or step out of line just a little bit. no matter how much feminists try to cancel rapists and abusers, their careers thrive.
yeah i know women were basically seen as subhuman throughout the whole history; but we as feminists shouldn’t forget about the suffering men have to endure under patriarchy: being called woman-like (derogatory) in case they fail to support the system of male supremacy.
