Some of you are closer than you think.
Your book isn’t “far from done”
It’s just:
1. Unrefined
2. Unedited
3. Unstructured
That’s fixable.
The problem is waiting too long to fix it.
Formatting is one of those things people ignore…
Until they see how bad it looks when it’s done wrong.
Spacing, layout, consistency, all of that matters.
It’s the difference between: “This looks amateur” and “This looks like a real book”
A lot of unfinished books don’t need motivation.
They need:
1. Proper structure
2. Editing
3. Direction
Motivation fades.
Structure keeps things moving.
If your writing keeps starting and stopping, this might be why.
You can Comment, If you need any tips on how to do that.
Let me ask you something directly…
What exactly is stopping your book from being done right now?
Not the general answer.
The real one.
1. Is it time?
2. Clarity?
3. Structure?
4. Or confidence?
Once you identify that, it becomes easier to fix.
I just wrapped up another book project today 🙌
And honestly, seeing a rough manuscript turn into something polished never gets old.
A lot of people underestimate how much goes into a professional book:
• Ghostwriting
• Editing
• Proofreading
• Formatting
• Publishing support
Small details make a huge difference in how a book feels to readers.

The first draft is like scaffolding. You can’t get to a finished product without it, and it bridges the gap between planning and progressing, but you can’t just finish the scaffolding and call it a building. You can’t look at a bunch of scaffolding and say “My building’s shit, there’s so many other nice finished buildings around here and my scaffolding is just not on the same level, and it’s not even meeting building regulations”
Scaffolding is not a finished building. A first draft is not a finished product. Holding it to the same standards is not only unhelpful, but it’s objectively incorrect
personal pet peeve: when an author has two characters text in stiff proper English. like why??? thats such a missed opportunity to establish character??
like what does this exchange tell you:
MC: Hey, X. I'm so sorry but I'm going to be late around twenty minutes late to your party. I hope that's okay, I'll see you then!
versus this:
MC: heyyy x MC: so soz but im gonna be like 20 mins late :(( MC: i hope thats ok sys :]
In exchange 1, we see the MC be established as a stiff texter, while in exchange 2 MC comes off as more carefree/careless. These are two different characters! Neither one is exactly better butttt I feel like the way your character presents themselves in person should translate over text. When everyone is a stiff, proper typer thats tells the reader nothing
I encourage you to use every opportunity to flesh out and characterize your characters! **this also lets you decide whether your character uses text acronyms vs emojis vs emoticons vs neither vs both which I feel like can tell you a lot about a person lol
You don’t need to struggle through the entire book process alone.
That’s one of the biggest mistakes I see.
People try to:
1. Write
2. Edit
3. Format
4. And publish everything by themselves
Then get overwhelmed halfway.
If you are already feeling that, it’s a sign to simplify things.
i love making playlists for my book. one day i may even write the book.
A quick reality check…
Readers can tell within the first few pages if a book is:
1. Rushed
2. Unpolished
3. Properly done
And once that impression is made, it’s hard to fix.
If you are planning to publish, don’t skip the important steps.
And you can comment, if you have any problem 😉
If your book is written but not edited…
It’s not ready yet.
And that’s not criticism, that’s just how it works.
Editing is what makes your message:
1. Clear
2. Strong
3. And readable
If you are unsure about your draft, that is exactly where guidance helps.
I will be honest…
Some of you are sitting on book ideas that could genuinely impact people.
But they are still in your notes because:
1. You keep overthinking
2. Or you don’t know how to turn it into a real book
At some point, you either keep delaying it… or you get help and move.
Which one are you doing right now?

Which one are you doing right now?
You don’t actually need more time to finish your book.
You need:
1. Structure
2. Direction
3. And someone to help you execute it properly
Because a lot of “I will finish later” really means: “I don’t know how to move forward”
If that is where you are, tell me what part is slowing you down.
