The blog that showed me years ago the musician that has become my favorite artist has been deleted. A musician that really single handedly changed how I view pop music as an art, which in turn lead to major changes in my own life as I let things go as a teenager/young adult that I maybe(?)  otherwise wouldn’t have. Who knows.

I have no way to tell this person how they changed my life. I hope somewhere the world is giving you what you need my man.

Literally all the arguments against raising the minimum wage are based on the assumption that because the jobs aren’t high paying, they aren’t hard work.

ooh i’m glad to explain this! see this smiling face :) ? well! in Russia we somehow ended up not using the eye part. so if someone texts you with lots of “))“s in the end of their message, they are just trying to be friendly and smile! same with (, if a russian person ends their message like that((, it means they are sad. hope that helped!)

I was thrilled to pieces when I saw this scene. Disney could have written Gideon off like some bully character who never really amounted to anything, or got what was coming to him like a lot of those characters do in their movies.  Gideon made something of himself. He’s a pastry chef, something that’s not traditionally a job for men in media. And as soon as Judy speaks to him, he immediately apologizes to her. He doesn’t try to shrug it off as no big deal, or say that it was just boys being boys or whatever; he knows he hurt her, and he owns up to it. And Judy immediately forgives him. 

Well done, Disney.

Also the language that he used is not something that he would have most likely grown up hearing/using. Describing his failings as self-doubt that manifested into “unchecked rage and aggression” sounds SO MUCH like therapy speak. So he’s either gotten counseling to help him with some of his problems, or sought out literature to help himself. A++ disney :)

when i was like 12 i played on a private server of a popular MMORPG that had a couple hundred thousand players or so. there was this item you could get from a boss that you needed to make the best equipment in the game but the boss only spawned once every couple hours

anyway since i was 12 and had nothing else to do i played this game from the moment i got home from school until i went to bed and eventually i got a couple of them. people sold them in their personal stores for about 1 million so i sold mine and then started buying them from every store i could find and then selling them in my own store for an inflated price. i kept doing this every day and then soon they were being sold for 2-3 billion each

so i personally caused one of the most important items in the game to increase in price by ~2000x. and to make it even worse i got bored of the game like a few weeks later and never played again, leaving everyone else to deal with the mess i caused
