I was scrolling through quotes I screenshotted in my reread of tda and in this one, it’s Julian interrogating the pixies about the church that Malcolm revived Annabel in.
I realised then, if a church was able to turn into an infernal place due to the necromatic ritual opening a rip in the dimension, isn’t it possible that Lake Lyn itself could turn into a dimensional portal or possibly infernal? We’ve seen that both the Mortal Cup and Mortal Sword were able to be twisted away from their angelic loyalties and into demonic forms, but it was never considered a similar thing could happen with Lake Lyn (the Mortal Mirror).
Lake Lyn already has powerful magical properties, so what if it became a sort of portal to summon Lucifer or another Prince of Hell? (As the lake can be used to summon Raziel, if the Mirror was twisted it would be reasonable to assume it would be able to summon the demonic version)

So in "Judgment of King Kieran" story in Better in Black, Kieran says that the late Knight of all Storms would be the last one, and instead forms a counsil of all storms, could it be that "The Last King of Faerie" refers to both courts uniting and not having a single monarch anymore, but a counsil (With Ash, Kieran and/or Kit) instead? idk I just thought about it while reading BiB

A very little. In the scenes in TLKOF from Ty's perspective, there is no room or reason for him to think about them. Dru wears her mother's gear and thinks briefly about her father, but he died when she was eight, and Eleanor when she was even younger. To her, her parental figure is Julian, who she thinks about a lot, as does Ty.

Nope! It is meant to be a fun piece of business tying him back to Jesse and the other Blackthorns of that time. That's all.

The forward progress of their stories ends with TLH. They do not live on forever or return as ghosts. We may hear bits and pieces about their lives, as history (Matthew's apartment in Paris lives on). It's not to say someday there might be a short story or something, who knows?! — but not in TWP.

He does! He remembers her well though he won't necessarily admit it at first. She certainly changed him, as he has only known otherwise terrible role models.

Zara is never over anything, but she also has beef with a lot of people. You'll definitely see her though she has bigger problems than Emma in TLKOF.

We already know why it fires for James, but we will indeed find out why it fires for Kit, too, in TWP. Ty figures it out.

We will definitely see Max. (Max 2? Max 3?) His knowledge proves invaluable. Maryse and Max reunited before TLKOF so that would have to be in special content or a deleted scene. (For those of you who have not read Better in Black, you will find out who Max is!)

i miss julian SO much and fear for his reaction to dru being kidnapped and ty leaving the scholomance to go off on this dangerous mission with the first heir 😭 our man is going to be STRESSED thinking he’s lost 3/4 of his kids, will we hear from him and emma in TLKOF and see his reaction to finding out what dru and ty are up to? (i wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to burn down the world to get dru back he’s THE julian blackthorn)

Poor Julian! Yes, it's true Dru and Ty are older than they were last time we saw them with Julian, but I think Julian will continue to wish to protect them. I think he will wish to protect them on into their adulthood, and when he is ninety-six and Dru is ninety-two or whatever, he will continue to regard her as his baby sister, and Ty as his baby brother. (Who is ninety-three.)
Ultimately though Julian has a role like the TID characters in The Last Hours: he can worry, and he can wish to protect his siblings, but in the end he isn't the one who can do what has to be done. Only the protagonists can do that. He can't burn the world down to save Dru, in that she has to save herself. He can set little fires though. :)

Julian Blackthorn
Between all of the characters in the shadowhunters chronicles, Julian is on my top favorite.
The first look we have of Julian is in City of Lost Souls when he asks Clary “Is that why you look so sad?” after knowing she doesn’t have any siblings (lol)
I always remember Jules described as kind in the eyes of Emma and Mark, I am personally atracted to kindness, that was what caught my eye on him.
In lady Midnight we see what has been with his life since the dark war, he is a father for his siblings, the head of the institute, and in love with his parabatai. I love that whenever I’m reading from his PoV or the thoughts of someone else about him, I can feel the weight of all this things over him, always thinking that at any point he may explote, but he does not, because another characteristic about him is that he is in control of himself, he is extremely reserved about his feelings and that leads to lying and pretending at every moment, he’s a master in manipulation. Everytime he gets darker and darker, and even more complicated.
I love Jules because I love reading about him, he keeps me in the egde like not other character. He shows the love for his family like no other and then he also says things that throw you off.
He has done bad things in order to keep his family together, and after Lord of Shadows, we know it will get so much worse...

I’ve noticed some confusion about my publication schedule, which makes total sense, since it’s pretty complicated right now! Here’s a bit of description to clarify the projects I have going on and when they will be coming out.
Ghosts of the Shadow Market
This is a series of short stories that focus on Jem/Brother Zachariah. They will be published serially as ebooks, with one story coming out each month between April-November 2018. Like The Bane Chronicles and Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, these short stories are collaborations between me and a talented group of writers, in this case Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson, Robin Wasserman, and Kelly Link!
(All of the Ghost of the Shadow Market stories will be collected in a print edition along with two bonus stories, likely coming out in the summer of 2019.)
The stories:
April 2018: Son of the Dawn, with Sarah Rees Brennan. Set in 2000. Jace meets the Lightwoods for the first time!
May 2018: Cast Long Shadows, with Sarah Rees Brennan. Set in 1901. A visit to the Shadow Market changes Matthew Fairchild’s life forever.
June 2018: Every Exquisite Thing, with Maureen Johnson. Set in the early 1900s. The story of Anna Lightwood’s first love!
July 2018: Learn about Loss, with Kelly Link. Set in the 1930s. Brother Zachariah visits a dark carnival and dabbles in demon-summoning.
August 2018: A Deeper Love, with Maureen Johnson. Set in the 1940s. Tessa Gray and Catarina Loss pose as nurses in order to aid suffering mundane humans during WW2.
September 2018: The Wicked Ones, with Robin Wasserman. Set in 1989/90. Celine Montclaire encounters Valentine Morgenstern for the first time.
October 2018: The Land I Lost, with Sarah Rees Brennan. Set in 2012. Alec Lightwood and Lily Chen go to Buenos Aires to help rebuild in the wake of the Dark War, and Alec meets an orphaned Shadowhunter child.
November 2018: Through Blood, Through Fire, with Robin Wasserman. Set in 2012. A dark threat is looming over a child of the Shadow Market, and Jem Carstairs and Tessa Gray may be the only ones who can save him.
