The costume and makeup styling is insane??? Unless I'm missing something and this is animated and not live action hello???

Like the "style" makes it look animated but the eyes and the hands and the background look very real to the point where I genuinely can't tell if it's insanely high quality animation detail or insanely artistically skilled makeup and costuming to mimic an animated artstyle

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

this also goes for aesthetic or -core titles. 'y2k tank top' is going to get you resellers and fast fashion brands advertising to people looking to meet a current trend. 'thin strap crop tank top' is going to get you a diverse group of results and not upcharge you to hell and back

additionally, shop second hand when you can, second hand and thrift sites typically organize clothes by the cut and color. theyll be more affordable than a depop seller curating you a style to sell you

Okay because we're all (rightfully) talking about Elphaba hiding Glinda in the closet to protect her at the end of For Good. Nobody can know how Glinda felt about Elphaba. Elphaba disappears to live in exile but free to be herself, while Glinda is socially accepted forever, so long as she stays safely in the closet.

But now I'm also thinking about their room together at Shiz?? If I'm remembering correctly, Glinda has the room filled with clothes such that the whole thing is pretty much a closet, but especially the rack of clothing blocking Elphaba from sight. So basically, Glinda has been hiding in the closet forever, and before they became close she was hiding from Elphaba too. During Popular, she opened the curtains and brought Elphie into her closet with her as she taught her how to flirt and flounce and fit in. They could be themselves together behind closed doors, but only if they hid themselves from the rest of the world.

Then Elphaba refused to keep hiding, while Glinda couldn't leave the clothes, and the cushion they provided, behind.
