Hi, where did you get the ghoul skin to go with your ghoul eyes in the preview picture, please? Thanks!
It can be found here: https://ghanima-atreides.dreamwidth.org/34324.html
Ghoul Eyes for The Sims 2
The new Fallout show is great and I've been enjoying it. I wanted some new eyes for my ghoul Sims. Plus I couldn't find the ghoul eyes that I assume Ghanima did a while ago so I also threw in the eyes from Fallout 3 ghouls. You get a total of 31 eyes.
These aren't geneticized so no one gets jump scared at them randomly spawning on offspring.

Assistance Needed!!
I have an online appointment with vocational rehab on January 13th where my caseworker will share leads she's managed to find and will help me with the resources to get a GED. I've applied to several jobs on my own accord but I'm afraid my lack of a high school diploma will make things harder
I need some help keeping my internet on this month for the appointment. My data isn't reliable enough and I don't know anyone whose internet I could use instead.
My internet bill with the fees I have currently is $120. I need to pay this before the 12th. Please help!!

restore @twofingerswhiskey's blog!!
you may have noticed that jeb's (@twofingerswhiskey) blog has been deactivated. he did not delete it. it was automatically banned by tumblr's systems while he was trying to reblog an MCR pic. he did nothing wrong. this also happened on American Thanksgiving, which is a bad look as he is an indigenous trans man.
he would really appreciate your support in the endeavor to get his blog restored! @2fingerswhiskey, his sim blog, is still active but he cannot access it as it is a side blog.
please restore @twofingerswhiskey

if you need to contact jeb for any reason, he is on discord as twofingerswhiskey. i can also pass messages to him if you don't have a discord.
Sims 2 Skin Adjuster Program V2 (Create your own custom skintone!)
Hello, this is version 2 of my skin adjuster program.
Firstly, what is the "why" of this program?: If you've ever made a custom skin in the Sims 2 you know how tedious it is to do because you have to manually edit each bmp file and there are 40 bmp files for just one skin. This program aims to help in that. With this program if you want to quickly blend skins or adjust the color, saturation, etc. you can do it quickly in an instant, and the program will apply your changes to all the bmp files, no need to do it manually anymore! It's like an automated Photoshop.
If you've seen my Tumblr post on the V1 of this program, here are the the main updates that i made since then: 1. UI for the program, not command line anymore yay! 2. Teeth and eye areas of the skins are now unaffected 3. Added a color overlay feature
Quick no sound, straight to the point video demo of the program:
Disclaimer: This program only works on Windows. Also, if you use Bodyshop instead of SimPe to import or export the bmp files of the skins, there will be a slight reduce in quality, to no fault of my program. This is due to the compression problem of Bodyshop (I talked about it in a previous Tumblr post).
Download the Program here (Mediafire)
All types of feedback are welcomed! Happy Simming! Note: not sure if i explained it well but, for the output folder, you can either make a new folder or use a folder that already exists. If there are already bmp files in the output folder, the program will replace those.
P.S. Took me a while to write this Tumblr post. I was already done but Tumblr didn't save it : /
It’s so cool that in the year since I last played, there’s been so many awesome CC creation developments. Makes me so excited to start creating again
TS1 inspired UI replacement (WIP TESTING)
Some of you might have seen my TS1 inspired UI floating around twitter, tumblr, discord etc. I've been having people test it in the Lazy Duchess discord but i've decided to upload it here for others to test and so no one else can claim they made it themselves lol. Sorry for the lazy photos but basically it's a recoloured version of the original UI. Pretty much all the elements are done. I'll keep updating until it is done basically. It's made to suit my resolution which is 1920x1080 but I will add the options for wider screens at a later date. Also not sure how well it works with Legacy editon so just be aware that it might display weird
Things to be added:
-Animated loading screens (yes I worked out how to do it ;) )
-Updating some of the existing recolours to make them cleaner
-Fixing any bits I missed lol
Install instructions
Place the TS1 UI folder into your downloads.
These are the main files needed
Download
Then place this file into your base game UI folder which should be in a directory similar to this "Program Files x86\EA Games\Sims 2\TSData\Res\UI"
This file replaces the background on the main loading menu as it looks weird without it. It is a placeholder.
Download
Do not delete any of the files in your UI folder. (Please)
If you are already using Clean UI or any other UI replacement, Please uninstall them first. They cannot be used together
Special thanks to @greatcheesecakepersona for their templates as they were insanely helpful
Not a mod to my preference but it doesn't stop it from looking cool as hell! Sharing for you TS1 enthusiasts
if you download old clothes from T$R it's a good idea to load them in Body Shop and make new package files. I've been getting errors and stuff when I try to look at or edit the original files. I don't know if it's because the original files were made using old tools or if T$R broke them back when they were shoving tracking devices in all the package files
Based off the fact this set itself is 15% of a GB even after all that texture referencing I did, I guess this can be considered a megaset.
So, first off you get the Skyrim Light Iron Armor and the Heavy Iron Armors. The Heavy one is the one with more armor pieces on it. It's a reasonable number of polygons. It's ~9K polygons and available for teen - elder. No separates versions. However, you do have options between my lower poly version of smooth hands or Maxis meshes for the hands but you must only choose one.
Below is a close up on my new hand mesh in action. Body meshes and resources for my new hands will be available in the future. These hands are 1,650 vs 470 for Maxis hands. The Original Smooth Hands is 2,200+ polygons.
Next, there's the iron helmet which is not a true hat hair since I have commitment issues for which hair I'd want to pair to the helmet. This hairstyle is under 4k polygons and available for all categories so you'll have to manually set them. Available teen-elder.
Next up you have the Skyrim guard armor which is definitely low polygon. This one's under 3,000 polygons and it is available teen-elder. I've made a ton of my own textures for it in the swatches above. It also comes in the colors of the original 9 Skyrim holds. This one also comes with separates (tops and bottoms) that are categorized the same as the full body outfits. Available teen-elder. Everyday, Athletic, Outerwear.
I also did the helmets in matching colors. The helmet is also pretty low poly at 734 polygons. It's also not a true hat hair so it's for all categories since I have commitment issues which what hair I'd want to pair it with.
For both of these, because there are so many different age groups and mesh options that all are capable of sharing the same texture, the textures have been separated into separate texture files that are required. So you'll make sure you have the required body files and the corresponding texture files. Swatches are also included and labeled so you can figure out which colors you want. Without the texture files, nothing will work.
Coming in last are gambesons from The Witcher 3 that come in at around 10,200 polygons. Like the guard armor, this one has separates (tops and bottoms) that are categorized the same as the full body meshes. For this one you'll have a required body texture file, the gambeson texture file/pants texture file/both (if full body), and the boots you want. There are swatches included but the color scheme is roughly the same offerings as the Skyrim Guard gambesons above. This one is available child-elder. Everyday, Athletic, Outerwear.

Lifetime Want Chooser
Hi all!
To start off this simblr, here's something I've just finished.
This is an object for the Sims 2 that lets you manually choose a lifetime want for your sim, instead of cycling one by one!
I made it while working on 50 new lifetime wants and realizing what a huge pain it is to go through them in testing. If only we could just choose an LTW, I thought. Well, :)
Get it at modthesims

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOUR DONATIONS ON CHANGE.ORG DO NOT GO TO THE SUBJECT OF THE CAMPAIGN
That means that when you donate, it goes to change.org. Now, this isn't useless — it does mean that the petition gets boosted. However, you're pretty much doing the same thing by reblogging. I am concerned about people donating something like $40 dollars since I'm not sure if they realize it doesn't contribute to the legal fund or not.
If you want to donate to the internet archive's legal fund (and help with operation costs), then you can click here to go their donation page
I saw this without that last bit before. READ THAT LAST BIT.
Shout-out to people converting objects to TS2 from other games. Don't ignore normal maps!
You can retain many details by desaturating (the right way) normal map and using it as overlay.
This is the secret sauce to how I do all my conversions
USEFUL SOFTWARE FOR THE SIMS 2
[under construction, there's more to come]
This is a list of programs that will make your life easier if you're an avid Sims 2 player. Click on program titles to get download links.
SimPE The most known software for The Sims 2 that lets you edit package files. You can do basic stuff like rename a Sim, change family name, edit Sims' genetics as well as edit/create mods. Don't use if you have no idea what you're doing, watch a tutorial first or back up your neighborhood beforehand in case you mess something up! The newest version also has a terrain editor.
Sims2Pack Clean Installer The best program for installing downloaded lots and Sims. Those don't just go into Downloads, you need to install them!
Hood Checker This program checks neighborhood references and can clean out ones that are broken. Also useful for bringing back lost graves (it's still good to have NoUnlinkOnDelete).
HCDU Plus The Hack Conflict Detector Utility lets you scan your Downloads folder to check if you have any mods that edit the same aspect of the game, so can potentially be in conflict. Also useful to navigate which mods load first (load order is important for some mods to work).
What Caused This When you have 'testingcheats' on, the game gives you error messages if there's something going on. Not all of them mean there's a serious problem, but What Caused This can help you navigate what the source is. Upload the log file (Documents/EA/TS2/Logs) in the program, give it your Downloads folder and it will scan it to look for the culprit. Might give you straighforward information on which mod conflict caused the issue or that you lack Smarter EP Check for a mod that requires it.
Outfit Organiser You downloaded CC clothes that the creator marked as outerwear but you think they don't fit in that category? With this program you can quickly change that! It's also doable in SimPE, but Outfit Organiser is a lot easier to use.
CPack Editor If you want to make plastic surgery genetic, there's no need to do it manually in SimPE, especially if it's more than one Sim. In CPack Editor, you just choose your neighborhood's folder, run the program, and it changes ALL surgery faces in that neighborhood to genetic!
It's like EA revived Sims 2 using the Ressurect-O-Nomitron but only paid less so now it has risen from abandonware as a zombie.
this is the best fuckin analogy ive seen about this yet
TS2 Extender for Legacy Collection
Hi :)
I've been poking around in the new Legacy Collection release for The Sims 2.
I started work on a small mod that currently adds the following:
Borderless fullscreen support
Toggle to skip intro videos.
Firstborn Syndrome Fix (Fixes broken RNG in general)
Experimental restored Lua features for modders.
Thank you for this!
EXCUSE ME
HOLY SHIT
THE STOLE CODE FROM MODDERS TOO....
