Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.

The Evermore Grimoire: Heroines
Wednesday Addams is a young woman from the notable Addams Family who has psychic powers and is obsessed with death. She is mostly known for torturing her younger brother Pugsley Addams for “fun” or for punishment. Wednesday’s most notable features are her pale skin and long, dark braided pigtails. She seldom shows her emotions and is generally bitter. Although she does have a somewhat close relationship with her Uncle Fester who is able to convince her to smile. Recently she was enrolled at Nevermore Academy for outcasts after she was expelled from her old school for trying to kill her brother’s bullies. Upon arriving at Nevermore, she quickly finds herself caught in the many mysteries surrounding the academy, including the Nightshade Society. Unlike other students though, she wears a custom black uniform as her mother Morticia Addams states that she is allergic to colour. The meaning behind Wednesday’s name comes from “Wednesday’s child is full of woe.”

"how do you know your friends don't secretly hate you/find you annoying" baby i've said things in discord servers that would make any other human being get a restraining order and move countries to never encounter my presence on this earth again, and they haven't even blocked me
Sorry Michelle, but I’m going to have to beat they ass instead
Are you still watching?
the feminine urge to end all arguments with “suck my dick”
Hey, if you have no choice but to infodump, always use characters, never the narrator to tell things to the reader.
This way, if you got something wrong and someone points it out later, you can argue that this character in particular was lying/misremembering/was ignorant of the exact details. You, the author, obviously knew what the real facts were all along.
*shoves plothole inside other less noticeable plothole* *throws a rug over it* My characters are dumb but i in fact am god
You. You get it.
Why did this call me out so bad?
me after writing out the scene I imagined in my head:
here is the official statement given by “Dulcet Games.”
Evidence - Dulcet Games
This document will be covering multiple cases of inappropriate things said and done by Serena (COO at Dulcet Games) and Layelle/MJ (Community Manager and Marketer) such as bullying, doxxing, bigotry, leaking private company information and more.
For 95% of evidence in this document, that is still accessible, videos have been taken of to further solidify the evidence and so the parties mentioned in this document would not be able to claim that this evidence is fabricated.
All names are blurred out for privacy, but if any witnesses would like to speak out or share their story, they are welcome to do so.
Key:

If you hit that “keep reading” link and head to the “ARTISTS” link, you’ll get to a very entertaining “schoolyard level of lets-talk-shit-about-Lawri” ! =^.^= Get yourself some tea or/and popcorn and enjoy As context: A while back, Dulcet approached me to become one of their artists. As I knew nothing of this company or their games, I started looking them up and picked up on a few red flags, like both owners of the company being in a relationship, said company being registered in a different Province than the one where the owner resides, and the fact that the devs/artists aren’t publicly credited for their work. So obviously when I met the CEO I had an extensive list of questions. I think they weren’t ready to deal with someone who had 30 years of work experience under her wing.
I’m just gonna post this here in case some indie developer or freelance artist/writer sees this. Please click on the “keep reading” button on the main post. As a player who has been following indie artists, writers and developers for yeaaaars, stuff like that doesn’t surprise me. Sometimes you can smell it a mile away. There’s always two camps of indie visual novel/dating sim/otome mini companies, who have “diversity, LGBT+ and roadmaps” on their company brand sign:
1. The ones that mean it and have their shit together.
2. A mix between:
“The ones that don’t mean it and aren’t really part of the LGBT+/diversity.”
or
“Part of the LGBT+/diversity, but they are absolute lunatic rat Kings/Queens, who use their identity and influence for personal gain”.
Both of these types know fully well that their brand gives you creds amongst the community, as well as a fervent milk-able player base who will do anything for your games(#saveportia - read the comments on the linked Reddit post too, please). The later part of these two types are also agenda pusher in their own game community and fan-space. For example a black developer will say stuff like “All whites should be exterminated” unironically, while they say that they make inclusive and “kind” games for everyone. These two types of 2. hate large parts of their customer base and think they are nothing but brainless goons, yes-sayer and shields-against-criticism-or-business-decisions. None of these people are professional or kind in any way. If you aren’t part of their identity club and don’t agree with them then you are out. Don’t enable them, don’t shield them (because they provide you with your fictional waifu/husbando) and moreover DON’T WORK FOR THEM.
Mind you people aren’t saints, but most people know to be professional and not to air their dirt in such a way (when, who, how) or treat customers with such a contempt. You don’t have to like your job, but it’s for your best interest to learn when to shut up and that real life friends or families are a better place to vent.
Fan manifesto
Apparently in June some members of the Dulcet Games’ discord server community already voiced some concerns and were dismissed.
Here is what these members sent on 17th of June:
This was Serena’s answer.
This manifesto speaks for itself, they can claim that the screenshots in other threads were old and they have changed since then but evidently this is an ongoing issue which they did not even want to address when people brought it up.
as a former fan of sweet elite, I wanted to make a quick post regarding the situation.
if you are angered, disappointed, or anxious (perhaps all three) about the newly released screenshots, know that you are not alone and are valid in your distress. we do not know what the staff will decide to do, or how the game will progress despite evidence of their main writer and community manager being transphobic and racist. with the unprofessional attitude presented by the mods in the server, the lack of boundaries, the entitlement of the writers and management, and disrespect towards fans, it is safe to say sweet elite will never be the same as it was before.
however, sending death threats to serena, layelle, or anyone else in the game’s development will not solve anything. what will make them listen are boycotts. if you want to ensure that these people take accountability for their actions, I would encourage you to stop playing the game.
because sweet elite is an indie game, loss of monetization will affect the crew, and will make them realize the consequences of their actions. leave the discord server, do not buy merchandise, do not buy keys or whatever currency they have, and do not create fan content (fan art, fan fiction, fan edits, theories, etc). your engagement in the community will only boost the game’s popularity. at this point, there is no such thing as “separating the artist from the art,” because any support you give the game is an allowance for the team to continue treating you like shit.
if serena and layelle want to insult their fans and view their community and own members as potential money machines rather than people, then they do not deserve your time. make serena and her staff listen in the way they understand: money.
