L&L campaign journal #2 - Gods
Hello, I was thinking about journaling my D&D campaign, so here it is. It's called Legends & Legacy, it's a homebrew world with almost every official player option available from 5e to 5.5e.
Ok, now let's talk about the gods in this world. Of course, I don't use the normal D&D gods, I created my own pantheonS.
Pantheon of the Seven Pillars (or just "The Seven")
These gods don't have an official appearance, every people/place have their own version of them. I'll add their most common depictions.
Emira - god of destiny, creation, leadership, order, faith, and family. Most commonly depicted as a motherly figure with golden tiara and clothing.
Tamia - god of earth, history, riches, and innovation. Most commonly depicted as a big woman made of rocks or covered in rocks, with one red eye and a golden eye.
Zetaro - god of fire, strength, courage, and hospitality. Most commonly depicted as a shirtless smiling warrior man wielding a halberd.
Vati - god of water, change, magic, night, and dreams. Most commonly depicted as a pale androgynous figure with long black hair covering most of their body.
Elfer - god of wind, sky, freedom, love, party, and ego. Most commonly depicted as a handsome young man with long flowing white hair and little to no clothes.
Kima - god of life, harvest, hunt, and challenges. Most commonly depicted as a woman with wild hair wearing leaves and/or furs.
Eiri - god of death, honor, war, and peace. Most commonly depicted as a warrior woman wearing armor made of bones and wielding a sword.
Pantheon of the Serpents (or "The Four Serpents") Khorshi - god of the sun, creation, destruction, leadership, and power. Depicted as a big golden snake with the sun as its head.
Charkeh - god of the moon, the sea, nature, change, seasons, and cycles. Depicted as a big silver snake with the moon as its head.
Agha & Togo - god of life, death, wind, luck, and doom. Depicted as a big light pink and dark red two-headed snake (cat-dog style), one head calm and peaceful, the other ferocious and wild. (It's said that they are the wind)
Zaan - god of knowledge, desire, ambition, decisions, ideas, and dreams. Depicted as a big coiled purple snake with three eyes.
Pantheon of the Dragons
This pantheon is composed of each of the 15 player-relevant dragons. There is only one of each, at least intelligent ones.
Just as a reminder, they are Red Dragon, Blue Dragon, Green Dragon, Black Dragon, White Dragon, Gold Dragon, Silver Dragon, Bronze Dragon, Copper Dragon, Brass Dragon, Amethyst Dragon, Sapphire Dragon, Emerald Dragon, Topaz Dragon, and Crystal Dragon.
Pantheon of Seasons
This pantheon is mostly worshiped by the fey. They elect one of each major court to be their leader and they also become an extension of the god they represent. Because of that, they don't have a constant depiction, it changes as new archfey assume the position.
Veras - god of spring, growth, renewal, and love.
Astas - god of summer, strength, adventure, and peace.
Tumus - god of fall, preparation, rest, and trickery.
Finix - god of winter, death, community, and survival.
Pantheon of Heroes
This pantheon is a catch-all for every other story or legend, kinda inspired by the Greek gods. Some are explanations of the unknown, others are heroes of the past, and others are just stories or fanfictions. There is no order to this one, here is where you put any god you want to create that isn't in any of the other pantheons.
L&L campaign journal #01 - Planes
Hello, I was thinking about journaling my D&D campaign, so here it is. It's called Legends & Legacy, it's a homebrew world with almost every official player option available from 5e to 5.5e.
First, I'm going to explain the.... cosmology. I changed how the planes work. So, instead of the ridiculous amount of planes that dnd normaly has, this setting has only 5... plus the aetherial plane, which technically isn't a plane.
First, there is the Material Plane. Which is the whole universe. (Some sources make it sound like the Material Plane is just our planet, or solar system, or galaxy. I just wanted to make it clear that it is the whole universe.)
Then there is the Spiritual Plane. Which is a mix of all afterlives, where souls go after they die. Heaven, Hell, Limbo, etc. (The plane is divided into different regions. Also, I'm making all fiends the same thing, I'm calling all of them demons. The only ones who really care about the difference are the devils)
There is the Elemental Plane. Which is a mix of all... elemental planes. It's technically the source of energy for the Material Plane. (Same as the Spiritual Plane, it's divided into different regions.)
The Arcane Plane. Which is where magic comes from. It's a mix of the Feywild, Shadowfell, Mechanus, and any other plane of the sort. (Mechanus is here because they are what regulates magic. Also, because of how all this thing is, to make Mechanus more part of the plane, I'm making all agents of Mechanus fey instead of constructs. They still look the same, it's just their creature type is now fey.)
And finally, the Mental Plane. Which is where the minds of every living creature in the Material Plane meet, their dreams, ideas, prophecies, the collective unconscious. Stuff like that. (Here is where you will find most... abominations... Speaking of which, I'm deleting this creature type. I'm replacing it with dream. Abominations that didn't become dreams, probably became monstrosities.)
And just to be thorough, the Aethereal Plane is just the in-between of the planes, what connects them. Nothing can exist here for very long.
Patrons voted for a centaur spellcaster :) Early release on Patreon back in April.
So, I never post anything, but I spent way too much time with this for no reason, so might as well share it.
Here is a pokemon type chart I made.... it's tailored for my preferences, so if you think something looks off, it's probably intentional...
Also, here is one just with the symbols, just in case anyone else likes them.
More @artwins art! This is Yusuke, a character I'm going to play in an upcoming Witherwild Daggerheart game!
Surprise! You’ve been Isekai’d into a D&D World… but it’s specifically a 3.5 Edition D&D world and due to a weird Glitch in the system you have been assigned not just a Base Class, but also one of that edition’s weird and wacky Prestige Class as well! Spin this wheel to see what you got!
(I added a short little summary for each Class explaining the basic gist of it. Although obviously you can also look them up to get more detailed info)
So…how are you feeling?
HELL YEAH THIS IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME
This class is perfect for me! (complimentary)
This is pretty cool!
Not bad but… could be better
Some parts of this sounds GREAT and some sound TERRIBLE
I’m pretty sure I’m gonna die but at least I’ll be cool as hell until then
Well, I’m gonna hate being this Class but at least I’m gonna survive
I feel utterly indifferent about my Class
This class is perfect for me… (derogatory)
This isn’t good for me, but… could be worse
Yeah, this sucks
OH MY GOD THIS IS HORRIBLE I AM GONNA BE MISERABLE AND THAN I’LL DIE
and in the distance, I saw / proud, solemn/fern-wild
