barely on here but it's kinda wack that just peering into jumblr—a space i was frequently in when i was a young teen struggling with my cultural identity—and seeing that it's just... completely the same. no sense of introspection or accountability for any of the horrors of zionism, just slapping on tumblr identitarianism onto 19th century european ethnonationalism with a faux indigenous twist!

i used to believe in the popular jumblr school of thought (especially the 'soft uwu' strain of zionism) because i was in a weird place with judaism due to personal stuff as a teen, and then when i started learning about the palestinian struggle (not "I/P")—the mass expulsions of palestinian villages, deadly settler violence against palestinians, the checkpoint system, the treatment of palestinian prisoners, et cetera—untethered by the need to appeal to jewish feelings, all i can think when i see how the vast majority of "jumblr" has committed to deepening their heads in the sand, especially now, is: what the fuck is wrong with you all

like okay. we've all seen not only the mask ripped off zionism, exposing it as the fascist ideology it has always been, but also the rightwards radicalization of jewish institutions worldwide (with AZ jews being severely punished by both their communities and the state for showing solidarity with palestine!) and yall are still committed to being "indigenous judeans" and uwu smol beans? and refusing to acknowledge the racist, colonial violence that mainstream jewish institutions not only condone, but actively bankroll?

Jewish settlers stole my house. It’s not my fault they’re Jewish. by Mohammed el-Kurd (2023) is an absolute must-read and I really do not have anything else to say about it. Every Jewish person should read this article. Read it and then read his new book Perfect Victims

Forget pinkwashing, it's brownwashing time---self-Orientalizing on the US campus by Gil Hochberg (2017) decimates the ~decolonized Judean~ shtick that has become very very popular on here

Anyway there are many other texts that are very very good but these are the first that come to mind when i think about the ways that jumblr amazes me. Both of these links direct to Mondoweiss, which is a great source for pro-Palestine news and authors
