He's around 22 yrs old.

Jake is basically a toppat prince, since his dad Reginald came in charge of the clan. And that stayed even after Henry became the new Toppat (TK and T4L endings) chief because Jake, Reginald and RHM wanted to (Henry didn't object).

He was adopted by Reginald ever since Jake was a kid, aka before Reginald became a toppat chief. Ever since that day Jake grew into the clan. The other adult Jake got close to is of course Right, and that happened even before Reginald and RHM got together.

Also, here's a wierdly wholesome dynamic:

Someone once jokingly said that Sven, Austin and Jake are brothers/siblings. Because Sven has Reginald as a mentor and father figure, same with Austin and RHM, while Jake is their actual son. Although, Jake does secretly sees both Sven and Austin as his big bros.

All 3 of them get along fairly well, thought.

Okay, cool, so OC fanchildren.

Eirla Copper, 24 years old (roughly), She/Her, mildly self-aware (She can break the 4th wall occasionally, mostly sees people as coded models when she does this, meaning that she sees a black outline with either 1s and 0s filling the bodies or whatever coded programming they have, although she cannot alter it. Has an odd dynamic with Henry, since he is also self-aware but he is usually a Toppat Enemy (which ties into a probably cringe backstory, I'm still hashing it out). She was fully prepared to take over as chief if Right hadn't survived in Relentless Bounty Hunter, and her Chief Hat would have been an almost maroon color with patches of RHM's hat sewn in and Reginald's chain looped around it (See Henry's chief hat) as a way of honoring her dads (Since we don't see Reginald in any timelines where he was arrested, I chose to believe that since he was the leader of essentially the mafia but in the sky, he was executed after being arrested) She doesn't particularly want the role, however, she can see what the stress of caring for the clan did to Reginald, and in RBH timelines what it did to Right, so she is okay with the role going to Sven in GSPI routes, and she gave him some tips off-camera that her dads had taught her. Her sudden glance at the code of the world often left her subconsciously dehumanizing the government agents, since she never saw their real selves the way she did the Toppats. She doesn't like it when members of the clan die, which is why she often goes on rescue or medical supply runs. As her abilities develop and she becomes aware of the "props" of her world, she gains the ability to summon weaker copies of items, at the expense of her own energy and strength. She does overwork herself because of this sometimes. Only self aware characters can see the code on her face, but everyone can see her eyes.

I've been on a Harry Potter fandom streak for a while (starting to ship Wolfstar honestly, they're cute but chaotic) but there is something that I need to talk about.

I read this one crossover fanfic (incomplete atm) where Tim Drake (DC) went to Hogwarts, and something that they did was look at the science behind a werewolf transformation. How their physical body is transforming, and that includes their brains, but they don't necessarily forget everything, which results in an information overload so painful it drives them to that aggressive madness. Their own head is a threat, so everything else must be.

However, I am fairly certain that wolf packs use certain sounds or movements with each other for basic stuff (This might be based on false information, I actually never got into that whole thing with the fanfics that if you think too hard about wolf pack dynamics the story becomes incest)

Long story short, I want to see Wolfstar where Sirius learns some basic phrases that won't cause more pain as Lupin's head tries to translate despite not being built for that, so he learns what to say so that Lupin doesn't HAVE to translate, and that's how Lupin starts to trust the marauders even as a werewolf.

On that note, I headcanon that because Werewolves are *slightly* territorial, they rarely properly communicate, however some of them are protective of "pups" and have formed some of a language.

One specific sound for "come here/follow me/stay with me"

One specific sound for "Whats happening/I heard something/that's not familiar"

One specific sound for "I don't like this/I'm hurt/please help/help me" (The higher the pitch the more pain they're in, and it combines easily with the Whats Happening to convey that something is hurting them but they don't know what)

And one specific sound for "You will not hurt me/You are trusted/You are safety"

And obviously just regular growling while their hackles are raised means they are warning you of an attack, but seeing that combined with the noise for pain is an alert for anyone who knows these sounds that something is wrong.

Assuming I'm not too tired in the morning, I will make a new account entirely for a Sonic AU I thought of a while back based on Neo Metal Sonic and his ability to control metal, because how the fuck else did he turn into Metal Madness?

Warnings and description under cut

This is a horror AU and features described body horror, to the point where certain scenes might seem over-the-top or cringey, and I will only be describing them because I can't draw for shit.

I do not know how to explain this next warning, but if you cannot handle the thought of something artificial under your skin, this AU is not for you either, that actually ties into the body horror but it feels unique enough to get it's own warning

Unsure yet on what I write, there will probably be major character death, including children, and obviously blood/gore

Heavy manipulation

Now that the warnings are out of the way, here's the premise!

In IDW, Metal managed to return to his Neo form, and since the doctor wasn't around to do that for him, it's heavily implied that Metal CAN become Neo at will. A specific ability that he appears to have is controlling metal, similar to telekinesis. He starts experimenting with this and discovers that this ability expands to wires and cords as well, and he wonders what he can do with this information.

There are no major ships in this, but if you are inspired by it to write and you DO ship the characters, go ahead. Just give credit, even if its just "I found my inspiration on Tumblr".

This is different from what I'd usually post, but I have a slight hyperfixation on a children's show I used to watch called PJ Masks. This hyperfixation was sparked by Elmushterri's AU, what if PJ Masks was a show for Teenagers? (Also called Gunntech AU both on A03 and here on Tumblr)

I then learned of an episode that came out after I stopped watching the show, called The Disappearing Ninja (TDN for short) And my brain basically combined the two concepts.

Spoilers, if you care about that, in TDN, Romeo kidnaps the Ninjalinos and tries to use their strength from a previous episode (That I have not watched yet, long story short they have magic now) to open a portal into a powerful place, so he can take over the world and yadda yadda yadda. Now, aside from the fact that I found out about TDN while trying to find Gunntech fanfics, Owlette also got captured by Romeo, and I had recently read a Whump story (I think it was Batfamily) where the villain managed to capture the protagonists and if the protags Screamed, their sibling would then be tortured, and my head went "That is... scarily in-character for Romeo if he weren't like 5 years old"

I want to see an AU where TDN happened with Owlette being a human experiment under threat of the ninjalinos being hurt. Mostly I just want Romeo to be terrifyingly sadistic and Owlette to have actual Owl traits such as wings and claws.

I will be making Gacha characters of these concepts, mostly because I like this idea but don't want to post a fanfiction of it, and if I decide to, I will reblig this with the visuals of the characters.

Disclaimer, TDN is also the first time I really heard about the new heroes, so I will not be making them aside from An Yu since she was relevant to the plot of TDN.

It's incredible how many people came out of the woodwork as soon as AO3 was down and suddenly had no compunctions at all about screaming how much they love and need fanfic--on the AO3 twitter. Is it so much harder to do in the comment section?

At this point I don't care anymore if people call me entitled or think I'm out of line. If fanfic is so meaningful to you that you cannot go half an hour without, let alone 24h, then you can get over yourself long enough to write a fucking comment. No excuses.

I was absolutely at a loss without AO3. I have been trying to comment more anyway because it's such an easy way for me to say thanks to the people who put their stuff out there, for free, daily. I read for at least 2 hours a day, probably even more at weekends or when I'm gripped by a new enthralling fic. The bare minimum I can do is take 2 minutes to comment. After that first kudos I try to respond to a new chapter with a comment so the writer knows that someone is paying attention, that there is an ongoing interest in their efforts. Fandom needs community. Community needs communication. Say thanks. Say it made you laugh or smile, or it distracted you from grim reality for a while.

Just don't do negative or selfish comments.
