Fucking enters the chat at some point after that. Clark eventually kisses Bruce after trying to suppress his gorwing feelings for his mentor and the pretty billionaire.
Ma and Pa are very concerned with Clark's new found fascination with Batman, sure the man is a hero but they don't want their kid to end up as a dark brooding man they've seen how Clark gets when he's in constant misery for long
But they are unable to shake his craze for the man and it doesn't look like it is affecting him badly so they leave it be.
Their fears do come to life but not in the way they expected, Clark, instead of turning into a brooding man, starts to date the brooding 15-years-older-than-him man.
It almost sends pa into a cardiac arrest but after seeing that it's Clark who's the aggressive pursuer and how twistedly obsessed he is with Bruce, they're all but helpless to accept their relationship and fortunately Bruce is a good man and they see that and grow to love him eventually.
