5 MONTHS ON T UPDATE

The facial fuzz is noticeable to friends who haven't seen me in a few months, which is sick.

There were a lot less voice cracks than last month.

I think I'm getting stronger, like my arms, I hope, look less noodly than last month. Just maybe.

Took me absolutely ages to tell my body it's okay to pee standing up, but all you really need to do is give your body time. It doesn't usually happen straightaway, you just need to give your body time to adjust to the change, but don't worry eventually with practice your body will be fine with it in no time.

I've known I was trans since about a year ago but all of a sudden when everything is starting to go well (starting t soon and everything), i've started to doubt if i really want any of this? like i know i want to transition but i guess i've gotten a lot of anxiety about not knowing what's gonna happen to my body with going on t. do you have any advice?

Hey man! First off, I just want to say congratulations! And that I completely understand. I've known I was trans for about 4 years now and I started t about 5 months ago and I was in the exact same position. It's quite common to be feeling anxious because it always seemed so far away but now that you're finally there, it's seems crazy. I had doubts running through my head as soon as I found out I could start t and I never thought I'd have doubts, but I read so many other guys were feeling like this just before they started t, so it's completely normal. If anything, my advice would be to not stress over it because you're not alone on that and anxiety doesn't necessarily mean it's the wrong decision because it is a big decision, but remember if you feel things are going too fast, it's okay to take a little extra time to think about it. There's nothing wrong with that as well. I hope any of this helped!

I can no longer take baths because of my dysphoria. I start hanging out with people less and I keep denying to go to the beach or swimming even though I have swimming trunks. Today my mother brought me a new shirt for work and she got it fitted. I have came out to her 3 times and she just says to me: " you can date women with out having to be a guy you know "

And any parent should be able to withstand their child being trans without denying their identity. Ridiculous how close minded some people are; especially ridiculous if it's a parent because they're supposed to be the one you look to for help and advice. They need to be oje of the first people you can tell anything to and yet they throw your identity in your face. Listen man, I really hope one day your mother has a balloon full of reality popped in her face so she can finally wake up and see you're the son she needs to be giving her care and support to. I had issues bathing because of dysphoria. I know, it fucking sucks. But there has got to be something that'll help you minimise the dysphoria. For example, - Closing your eyes- Listening to PROPER BOOMING MUSIC THAT'LL MAKE YOUR EARS BLEED so you don't think about it as much- Sometimes I'll sing so terribly that I laugh at how bad I sound, it helps. If you're a fantastic singer, then instead of laugh, be like- "oh yes, I am fabulous"- Pretend you're an actor/character from somewhere. Like idk sometimes I'll pretend to be Danny Phantom overshadowing a female and am having trouble getting out the body.- You could like style your hair with shampoo and make it really badass and focus on how sick you look- Get some super cool bath toys. When I was a kid, I used to empty out shampoo bottles and fill them with water and use them like lasers. There has got to be something that can distract you in times like this. I BELIEVE IN YOU, MAN!
