Salutations, welcome to The Trilunar Network (link). I am Dr. Lune and my pronouns are whatever yours are, and I'll be the one showing you around.

This is a system/plural blog, though we stray from communty and medical labels. We use residents, folks, or folkel for headmates; eras for sidesystems, and branches for subsystems. For everything else not mentioned, assume they remain the same as you are familiar with.

As for "before you follow" guidelines...for those of you who have "DNIs", I'm 98% sure we are on your DNI, so I encourage to stick to that and block me. I don't concern myself with that culture and I will interact regardless of what your DNI states if I like your posts, but it is unlikely I will follow for the same reason.

This account is entirely separate from the main shared ones ( @faeretic , @faeyan , @amortals ). We do very little reblogging here.

Idk if this is really related, but people feel really comfortable being racist towards Asians in the anti community. Like, as an Asian, most Asians that I see online and offline hold the principle of 'what fiction I don't like, I won't post about it'. Not to say all, but a fair amount of them do, even if most of them don't know what proship is. That's why mangakas can get away with depicting whatever in their manga more often than not.

But due to that, people streotype Asians as pedophiles (they mean child predators, but I guess they want to conflate the words). You won't believe how many people genuinely say "Japanese people are pedos!!!" "Japan should be bombed again!!" "Asians should stay away from the main world" (main world as in the public (in the eyes of white people), I guess?)

They streotype us like that, yet they expect content from us. They hold Asia to an impossibly high standard, then say we're hiding a dark secret---as if Asians aren't human and have the human capability to be both good and bad! I don't mind people saying this that Asian countries have flaws and should take accountability for it, but they say it in such a way that is basically "I don't see Asians as individual people and see them as a group and I want to invalidate the genuine accomplishments of Asians by implying their accomplishments are moot since lookkk!!! They're hiding a big bad secret (white countries do the same thing)!!!"

I wanted to ask what you thought of this newly developed Fanfiction.lol if you’ve heard of it? For me it kind of looks like a ao3 knockoff with double standards (like allowing “dark themed fics” but not allowing things such as underage sex?).

It also says that ai isn’t allowed (and I haven’t fully read the details about the website yet) but it seems like the situation you often talk about how real authors could get damaged by witch hunt situations.

I’ve never heard of it before. that said, “we’re allowing this thing but we’re not allowing that thing” is pro-censorship — even though underage stuff makes me uncomfortable and it’s what I avoid if I ever come across it, when I say “no censorship” I mean no censorship — so that alone tells me the platform is not something I’m interested in (why would I be interested in a pro-censorship version of ao3 when I have ao3?)

also I can already see genuine writers getting wrongly accused of using ai because they write about ships or topics that are disliked by others.

I figure pro-censorship folks and bullies who like to harass others over fiction would enjoy it though. so I guess it’s a good thing if it means these people finally leave ao3 alone.

There are also Android-based alternatives like GrapheneOS and LineageOS, which are pretty easy to install. These are unfortunately available for a more limited range of devices (Graphene is ironically Pixel only, while Lineage supports more), but it's very worth checking out whether one of them might work for your phone.

Typing this from Graphene now, in fact. But, both of those take the Android Open Source Project, without all the bloatware--and largely de-Google the whole thing. They give you much more control over privacy and what the apps you choose to install can do and access on your phone.

I know Graphene sandboxes everything, including the optionally installed Google Play Services which a lot of apps unfortunately require to run. (Lineage uses an alternative to Play Services instead.) So, you can install what would normally be unacceptably intrusive apps and just lock them away from pulling any funny shit with your data, or phoning home. Including the couple of Google things I do still keep around.

I also prefer running much more transparent, privacy-respecting open source apps where possible. Besides the transparency, I'd rather avoid the shitty tech corps entirely where I can. There are pretty good alternatives available for a lot of the usual suspects.

We have DID, but we are mixed origin and for several reasons align more with being non traumagenic nowadays, but we still are disordered regardless and it feels so nice and refreshing to have a space for disordered plurality that isnt discriminatory, so really, thank you for providing this <3

You're welcome! We also have DID but we're quoigenic and have some purely endogenic headmates as well. Grey areas like that exist between the major sides of syscourse and we like carving out more little inclusive spaces to sit around in despite it all.
