I was thinking of a pride art challenge people could do with their OCs, because I thought it'd be cute! A queer/trans artist with their creations.
but then I realised that same challenge would be infinitely more funny with folks who have atypical or horror OCs
my cat is completely obsessed with watching the bathroom sink drain and I have started calling this "her shows." as in when I'm in the bathroom and she meows and runs up I'll be like "oh you want to watch your shows?" and run the faucet for an extra few seconds so it fills a little. she will then sit there at the edge of the sink for ages totally entraptured by the drain. blorbo from her sink
Executive dysfunction in progress.
so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
okay so i just got my dream job??? a week after applying to it?? and now i’m thinking….maybe this is the good luck post
…..not even six hours later i got an offer of a well paying full time long-term job with free room and board in queens in nyc, allowing me independence and a way to escape an abusive situation and an unhealthy environment
likes charge reblogs cast, folks, this is the good luck post
i need all the help i can get for finals
Hey so
the last time I reblogged this post right before I got a great job, in a permanent work-from-home position, with benefits, retirement, and a salary literally 3x what I was making before, doing something I really like.
So you know.
This might be the real one, y’all.
I could use some luck
health isn't a virtue.
people still go around acting like they've done something good in order to be able bodied and healthy. that they worked for it, that it's due to their moral fibre or good upbringing or self control. they genuinely, on some level, believe that they are a good person solely based on the strength of their physical abilities. they will resist the fact that it is largely down to chance that they were able to maintain such health. whatever they think they've built from scratch, the building blocks were already handed to them. not because they're more worthy of it, just by luck. and they really think they're worth more based on that sheer luck. i've met disabled people worth a hundred of the healthiest ableds alive.
Ignoring luck is dumb, but claiming that health is entirely based on sheer luck is an extremely corrosive worldview. There are dozens of choices you make every day, every week, every month that contribute to your overall health and functioning. It's good to be healthy and it's good to make healthy choices and you do in fact have a lot of control over whether you are able bodied.
No, you don't. Not really. Especially not if you are poor.
The framing that it is, is tied to both ableism and classism.
Yes, there are a bunch of tiny things you can do IF you have the resources to do so. And even then, there's no telling how the universe is going to work today. You can kiss your wife goodbye, walk to work, take the stairs, eat a healthy salad for lunch and still get hit by an airplane in your office.
You can make all the good choices, do everything right, and yet get fucked by sheer luck.
touch grass bingo!
text and an extended explanation and some relevant links below the cut
The idea of this is you can brag online for clout for doing simple little nice things. So, post pics as you complete it and link back to this post!
And please save the pic and fill yours out by crossing off squares as you go, but
Or some might feel dox-y (maybe the clouds are real specific today and will reveal where you live) so you can describe it (or lie, but do it legit for you).
Have fun!
