I'm not gonna lie the secret to success for a great many people is absolutely stimulant abuse
Wait hold on what was that

You spoke, and I listened: this post now has additional toebeans!
Breaking my silence on heated rivalry. Here's my main thought. It is so fabulous to me to watch these two like proper acting theory pilled animal work clowning physical theatre guys (a type i am highly familiar with) grappling in some kind of sisyphean hand to hand combat with some of the most awkward fanfiction dialogue ever written. And well sometimes they win. But always the point of fascination is the fight.
I think it's funny this gay hockey show is some of the best immigrant to canada representation I've seen recently even if ilya had a perfect accent he'd get clocked because he doesn't know wtf a loon is
Years of personal growth can be unraveled in 2 days at your parents house
some people’s new years resolution needs to be to stop going out in public while horribly sick with infectious diseases
i see this post is going around again.. sort of like a bunch of infectious diseases i could name
Artfully layering an axe bodyspray deodorant and two different perfume oils to create a tasteful mixture of amber, oud, mint, lavender, moss and petrichor, producing a scent that smells exactly like damp, stale, rotting laundry.
Reminds me of that tumblr user that made powdered milk with sparkling water and created instant spoiled milk
That was also me.
Do you know any other ways to speed ruin things?
I wish I knew any other way to do anything.
Heated Rivalry has unfortunately pretty much the only thing getting me through a phenomenally shitty holiday season. But also, more importantly, I am a pretty serious birder. So obviously I spent the entire final episode extremely distracted by all the bird calls, there are so many of them and they're extremely location-accurate as best I can tell!
Please enjoy Birds at The Cottage, in approximate order of appearance:
American Robin (?) idk possibly one of the other robin-like songs
Black-and-white Warbler
Canada Goose
Swallow calls? Maybe Northern Rough-winged?
Common Loon*
Boreal Chickadee
Black-capped Chickadee (fun because they're in a good area to have both!)
Common Raven
Red-winged Blackbird (I guess there's a cattail marsh right behind the cottage?)
Hermit Thrush
Yellow-rumped Warbler?
Red-breasted Nuthatch
There are definitely some I'm missing, I'm not fantastic at sound id (and didn't want to replay a 3-second bit 10 times lol) so I'm really hoping the other hardcore birder fans that must exist will chime in here.
*the loon calls did NOT sound right and it really pissed me off, it didn't sound at all like they were coming from a distance over the water and it was really intrusive :/ Can't believe the sound mixer let the birder (and frankly Canadian-cottage-visitor) audience down on this one thing.
Watching the finale and thinking about the southern Boreal avifaunal community. As one does.

A PULSE. A BEAT. A SONG. LISTEN TO THE UNIVERSE SING.
I love that a lion with an eagle's head and wings is such a well-known mythical beast but apparently the English language can only agree on a grand total of 3 out of 7 letters in its name.
Regex that ought to match (most) spelling variations of this mythical beast's name:
gr[iuy](?:ff|ph)[eioy]n
I write it either as gryffin or griffin
But
Gruphon, gryffon, griphen (sounds like the plane, grippen, lmao), gruffin and others would be enlightened spellings

Imagine a bee rn in a hive muttering "the beekeeper is not real because he is not intervening or helping me at all with this disastrous relationship I have with another bee". now imagine that's you talking about the good lord. now imagine a dog with a propeller hat on
Filing this in my memory right next to this thread:
is anyone imagining a dog with a propeller hat on
OOK.

why are dudes in fanfic always getting hit with freight train orgasms. why not an orient express orgasm, classy and romantic. where are the shinkansen train orgasms? his orgasm hit him like the TGV atlantique breaking the passenger rail speed record. like the shanghai maglev, his orgasm was a feat of engineering but something of a commercial disappointment.
Don’t tell me delayed orgasms aren’t a thing
