DO THE ABSOLUTE MINIMUM AT WORK. MAKE ART THAT HURTS. ABANDON ALL GUILT AND SHAME. DONT LET THEM KILL YOUR SOUL. BECOME YOUR OWN PERSONAL GOD. GROW SPIKES. DONT LET THEM KILL YOUR SOUL
I took this screenshot from a YouTube post and I want to add to this fuckin mess with my own delusions:
Okay so Smis is a life simulation game that Noelle probably liked playing especially with the amount of cheats, secrets and Easter Eggs that are just around every corner of the franchise.
I like to imagine that Smis is a very monster focused game franchise with a lot of customization options towards monsters of every kind and shape, with only a few options dedicated to humans. I like to think that she used to play the game before Kris stopped talking to her, and that she has made their families on the game a long time ago.
I like to think that she has made the ENTIRE Hometown on a custom world map, not just her and Kris's houses- Like- Noelle has mapped out Hometown but when it came to people she barely knew, or buildings she never got to look inside she just started making shit up???
Like- If there were buildings she didn't know what the inside looked like, she ended up making the outside look very similar to the real building, but inside is just one room with all the necessary furniture items so a smi can live somewhat comfortably and not randomly die?
And in the case of houses where she never met the people who lived there, she just filled it with OCs and favorite characters?? Like- I'm imagining Lil Noelle having so much fun with this fake little town. You can even extrapolate and imagine she made a few darkners accidentally, since darkners and monsters are very similar.
I like to think that at first she left her smis to age normally as she played, but after Dess disappeared and her dad fell ill in real life, she locked the world from aging and stories from progressing because she couldn't handle the idea of her smis growing up and dying on her.
She began to use it as a copying mechanism because it seemed like everything around her was crumbling apart: Dess was gone, Asriel went to college, her dad fell ill, her mother became really cold and Kris suddenly stopped seeing her as often. So she tried to prevent her smis from doing the same things their real life counterparts did, as if hoping that if she could control the narrative of the game, things in the real world could change too. Or at the very least, so she could feel like she could've prevented things from going wrong.
I like to think that Noelle, Kris, and some of their classmates were agelocked during the teen stage of their lifecycle (they all probably aged naturally in game before she decided to lock everyone in permanent ages and make everyone immortal- So that would mean everyone was technically older than the real people she made the smis based on... So anyways, I'll headcanon that smi Rudy was 7 days away from dying of old age :) ).
I like to think she would use cheats, or in-game items to revert both of her parents to the adult stage, though. I think that if anything happened to them, like if they suddenly drowned, caught on fire, or were eaten by a cowplant she would instantly reset and load a previous savefile.
She resets a LOT, actually, especially when mild inconveniences happen- Like picking a bad option during dialogue and accidentally getting a lower relationship with Kris. It would probably end up corrupting her savefile which would lead her to cry for hours trying to fix it before calling Berdly for help. Dw, he got this.
I think that she stopped playing it because something weird might have happened that scared her so bad, that it has been years since she last opened that savefile and her brain blocked it out for her own sake (like- She remembers that she stopped playing it because it was messing with her sleep schedule, which it really was! But she doesn't remember that the reason was also because whatever she happened on her savefile, scared her so badly to the point she couldn't sleep properly after it).
Carol never liked when Noelle used to stay up late playing any video game because it would mess with Noelle's performance during school, but I like to headcanon that she has a particular dislike towards The Smis because Noelle seemed... Just a little too attached to it, pretty unhealthy in her point of view. I like to think it's because she recognizes Noelle's frustration, and can't help but relate to it: Wanting to live in a frozen memory from before everything went down? Carol knows that feeling better than anyone else.
in my little pony universe youd go to a job interview and theyd be like so how does your cutiemark reflect your dedication to this position. And every time youd have to spew some bullshit about how your cutiemark of two tennis rackets actually means youre a team player and good at multitasking and view the market like a playing field. or whatever. and you wouldnt even get the job
Thanks to Equestria v Sugar Sprinkle, cutie mark interview questions are considered hiring discrimination, so if anypony asks you any cutiemark related questions or even alludes to any questions about your cutiemark such as "In your own words, describe your life purpose" you can and should refuse to answer. Know your rights, ponies.
one of my friends in a discord server was talking about how they were nervous about their first scheduled acupuncture appointment. another friend offered to do a tarot reading for them. sent this picture.
