Agatha All Along Potential Second Season Thoughts

I have been watching Agatha All Along since it premiered and have loved it from start to finish! I’m going to put my two delusional cents in about a potential second season.

The only mini series to get a second season was Loki and that happened before even a single episode aired. I think the more plausible way to go would 3 hour-long specials that could air in October again. That way A3 stays mini series but they are able to tie up some loose ends and tell stories they don’t have time to tell.

Some rough thoughts I have is the first one could focus on Agatha and Rios past romance and Agatha got the Darkhold while also revealing that Billy’s magic had a permanent effect on the ballad and covens can now open the now real road. Second could have them get the original coven back to deal with the road with Sharon, Alice, and Lilia as ghosts but a guilt stricken Billy being a Maximoff will use his powers to break the natural order and bring the 3 back in physical forms which brings Rio back into the picture. The last could have Agatha and Rio hash out their issues again but have them get on sturdier ground in the conclusion and the coven (Agatha, Billy, Jennifer, Lilia, Alice, and Sharon) running a new con of on all the witches summoning the road, with each leading covens down the roads. Not to kill them for power like Agatha’s original con but for another reason like a MLM coven network.

Descendants 3 The VKs Cottage

So a lot of people of been saying that the cottage pictured below is the starter castle, cottage, that Evie is going to buy for the VKs but I just wanted to say that it is not.

Thanks to bloggers making a full time job of posting and photographing projects filming in Vancouver, we got photos of another cottage that Descendants 3 was filming that is pictured below.

This cottage is most likely the one that Evie purchases and is better suited to house the VKs as it is a nicer and larger property. If you look in the left corner of the image you see a table that resembles the one that Celia was using to give Jane a reading in the Meet Celia trailer. Also in the photo below of another angle of the cottage the window designs resemble the ones that are behind Dizzy and Smee twins in the new trailer.

With regards to the first cottage I think it is the one that Sleeping Beauty and the Three Good Fairies hid in in the original Sleeping Beauty Movie. If you compare the two cottages they are almost exactly the same. Also the flowers in the archway for the first cottage are blue and pink which are Sleeping Beauty and Audrey’s colors.

Descendants 3 Daughter of The Queen of Hearts Confirmed

So I didn’t expect to make a follow up post to my theory from yesterday but I found an Instagram post that pretty much confirms that the character is the daughter of the Queen of Hearts. I was searching through Instagram to see if anyone posted photos of the costumes from Good to Be Bad when I found a post made by Angelica Migliazza. In the post she not only posted photos of her character’s outfits but she also tagged it with Queen of Hearts daughter and Quinlin.

Now this in my opinion confirms that the character is the daughter of the Queen of Hearts and her name is in Quinlin. It also shows that she appeared not only in the large group dance sequence but also the scene where Jay slides down the roof. Her actress also posted a photo from behind the scenes with the Auradon castle from the finale so she may be in that scene too. However I’m not sure if she is a minor character in the film or if she is just an easter egg for the audience like the background characters in the first two films that resembled classic Disney heroes. The reason why I think she could just be an easter egg is that her actress lists herself as a dancer and does not mentioning acting so I just don’t want to jump to conclusion.

In the end I believe that we can treat Quinlin as the canon daughter of the Queen of Hearts which it is always awesome to have more characters in the Descendants Universe.

Possible Daughter of The Queen of Hearts

The music video for Good to Be Bad was released today and I did not disappoint. There is a lot that can be analyzed with the music video and scenes that may come later that we have seen in trailers. Also as always the costumes and set design were amazing and the 90s vibe from the song and costumes can lead to an interesting theory for later. Right now I wanted to write about an extra I noticed that relates to an earlier post I made.

When Descendants 3 was filming one of the extras posted a selfie with costume design sketches in the background. With the part I cropped you can see what appears to be designs for a daughter of The Queen of Hearts based on the photo of the Queen of Hearts in the right hand corner. Well in the music video I noticed an extra who I theorize may be the daughter of the Queen of Hearts. Now remember though with background dancers most times are are just random Isle residents,and this may just be a case of that, however there is some evidence to suggest otherwise.

The strongest piece of evidence for me is the back of her jacket which has a playcard symbol on with what appears to be heart in the center. With extras they mostly never have any symobls on the back of their jackets which is usually only used for named characters.

Also her dress has heart and crown symbols all over it and appears to have more detail in it than the other extras. The skirt of her dress has ruffles that resmble the bottom half of the Queen of Hearts dress and the shoulders are puffy like the Queen of Heart’s. She even has the Queen of Hearts colors black, red, and yellow.

Her hair also has red highlights and if you look at her from beind it appears she has her hair in two buns to give her head a heart shape.

Now for now these are just theories and in the end she can just turn out to be some random extra however I do think there is some evidence to suggest the possiblity she is the daughter of the Queen of Hearts

Descendants 3 and The Isle

So we are finally getting a lot more promotional materials for Descendants 3 and it looks like we can get a clearer idea of the plot.  It appears to be going in a different direction than I predicted and is addressing some of the main concerns fans have had about the Isle situation and how Auradon treats the residents.  One of the many criticisms of Descendants is how the Isle residents have been abandoned and how the core four haven’t helped the situation which I feel in Descendants 3 is shown to be intentional.

With Hades and Uma’s promo videos we are shown Hades and Uma making valid points on how the Isle residents are imprisoned and forgotten. Especially with Uma she makes points how Mal and the core four only are helping a select view and leaving others behind. The thing is these actions both in the dialogue and camera shots are not being portrayed as villainous. We see that the Isle residents who are left behind aren’t being portrayed as evil but as dejected, hurt, and saddened. These shots make the audience feel sympathetic and sorrow for the residents and have to be done on purpose. Even through the summaries are asking if the characters are the villains it’s quite obvious that the writers and director are showing the Isle residents as being the victims of Auradon.

On the other side you have Auradon and the core four hosting VK Day where only four Isle kids will be able to go to Auradon Prep. I think this being done to shown that while the core four are trying to help they are only doing the minimum and are still being complicit with the Isle situation. Also I had thought the posters on the Isle where created by the Isle kids but now it’s apparent that they are part of Auradon’s propaganda along with the core four signs. In the end I think one of the messages in D3 is that Auradon, its residents, and the core four had been acting like villains to the Isle residents and had been hurting them.

While I do agree that the criticisms of Mal, the core four, and Auradon are correct I also think these are intentional and that it’s what the creators want to audience t feel.

This novel takes place near the core four’s graduation. Which means that in the first Descendants movie the core four are in their junior year (I’m pretty sure they got to Auradon near late September or early October, because they were already in school on the isle and it had been a couple of weeks before they got the letter) and Descendant 2 takes place 6 months after they got there which means that its around April or May. So then its been 6 months since the got there plus two months till June add on summer break and the school year and it equals to……THEY STILL HAVEN’T GOT THOSE KIDS OFF THE ISLE. 

If they actually follow the backstory of the book.

I agree that it would make a lot of sense if Ben was having a hard time getting a vote from the Council. We know from Rise that Ben wants to do everything democratically and never force his way onto Auradon. The Council being difficult could be because even though Mal did save them from her mother there have been other events since then that probably have affected public opinion of VKs. CJ kidnapping Ben, Zevon freezing Ben and using magic to take over Auradon, and Mad Madam Mim terrorizing parts of Auradon probably didn’t help Ben’s argument.

So this video doesn’t really give anything new about Descendants 3 but Cheyenne does mention that he can’t mention Hades child because it’s a secret. Now this mostly likely means that Hades is Mal’s father but it does make me wonder if that’s the secret. The reason why is that official promotions from Disney Channel and posts from the cast have made it pretty obvious they are hinting at Hades being Mal’s dad.This makes me wonder if they may have a story line where Hades is pretending to be Mal’s father. For example both Dove and the cast have been posting photos showing Dove where the Mal wig that many says has blue highlights in which is has been one of the biggest clues that Mal is connected to Hades. Now why would Disney let those posts be made if they wanted to keep tit a secret espcially since they seem to not allow any post of Sarah to be made that featured her wearing the pink wig we saw in the leaks. Now they probably wanted to keep Sarah’s wig a secret because it reveals a major plot point but couldn’t the same be said for Mal’s wig with the blue highlights. I just find it a little odd that if they want it to be a secret that Mal is Hades’s daughter they sure have given a lot of hints.

So this screenshot of Descendants 3 credits was posted by the composer for the Descendants films and it has lead to a lot of speculation. The main one being that Hades is shown in the celebration at the end. The most common and given everything we know about Descendants 3 the most likely reason is that he will turn good and that is why he is at the celebration with the heroes. This would also most likely mean that he is Mal’s father.  There are two other explanations I can think of but they are really slim and in honesty I do think the former is what is going to happen .

1.  That Kenny is doing a end credits scene similar to the one from HSM3 where the cast is doing a curtain call exit so the scene would be that Cheyenne is exiting with the other adult actors.

2. That Hades didn’t turn good but he was caught by the heroes and they have seen that the Isle doesn’t work and are going to try a way to heal the villains. So while they wait Fairy Godmother has a spell that prevents him from leaving her side till they can figure out a way to help the villains. This only supported by the fact that Hades is standing next to Fairy Godmother and that he appears to be the only person that isn’t dancing.

Finally I just wanted to say that Uma, Harry, Gil, Dizzy, and Celia all look great in their finale looks! I also think this shot can lay to rest the idea ,which in my opinion was baseless, that Mal will break up with Ben and get together with Harry. It looks to me that Huma may happen.

So I preordered the Isle of the Lost graphic novel when I saw the preview and after reading it I feel kind of disappointed in it. I mean it’s nice to have the story illustrated but there are issues with the novel that make it kind of a letdown to such a great series.  Now I understand that with any adaption changes and cuts need to be made but these ones just seem to take some of the best qualities out.

·         One of the major issues I had was that any trace of other named descendants besides the Core Four and Ben are removed. It’s not just that these characters don’t show up in the background it’s that scenes have been rewritten so that they don’t appear. Dr. Facilier shows Evie around instead of the Gaston twins, a goblin is ringing the bell instead of Claudine, the scene with Antony was completely cut, and Diego doesn’t even appear even though the Rotten Apples do.  Ben and Audrey’s date was removed also.

·         Another choice that I didn’t particularly like was how the villains were designed. They seem to keep their original villain looks instead of the 70s Isle fashion they have in the Movie and described in the novel. Also Maleficent’s design switch error occurs when Diablo returns to her. Dr. Facilier, Lady Tremaine, and Mother Gothel also appear and Mother Gothel is drawn with having grey hair.

·         Some of the changes in the story I feel made it less magical. For example when the Magic Mirror tests Evie instead of turning the Core Four into Peddlers it just ages up their faces and leaves everything else the same.

The novel is an okay read I just guess I was expecting more details in it than it had to offer.

Isle of the Lost Graphic Novel Sample

iTunes released a sample of the Isle of the Lost graphic novel and it looks awesome and makes next Tuesday an even longer wait.  Part of the sample shows Evie’s birthday scene with shows what Mal, Jay, Evie, Carlos, and Uma looked like when they were six. It also gave glimpses of Captain Hook, Tick Tock, and Lady Tremaine. There is a boy running away from the party with blue hair that could be Hadie but I don’t think we can count that unless it gets confirmed.  Now there is a small error where Maleficent switches from her Original Villain look to her Isle look.  This novel looks like it going to be amazing and it’s great that the fandom can see characters and locations that may not get seen in live action!

Mal Gets Imprisoned

So this awesome Instagram account was able to zoom in on the photo of Mal in the new still while keeping a pretty good quality. Mal looks awesome in her outfit but what really got my attention was that she appears to chains around her wrist like a prisoner. So here is my long shot theory on what I hope this scenes means. Also this theory works on the assumption that Maleficent is influencing or possessing Audrey and that Hades is faking being Mal’s father. So the original villains try to corrupt Mal using Audrey and the idea of Mal’s father to make her evil and stop the other VKs from turning good and against them. Once that fails they decide to squash the movement by getting rid of the figure head which appears to be Mal so they imprison her and plan to make a public example of her.

These new stills are amazing and make me even more intrigued about the plot for Descendants3! I know the still with the posters with Mal and the rest of the Core Four being praised will be controversial right now since as many have rightfully pointed out that Mal hasn’t done much for the Isle, yet. However we as the audience don’t know yet what Mal has been up to between D2 and D3. For all we know she and the other VKs have already been working and bringing other VKs over from the Isle by the beginning of D3. Also the poster look like they were made by the Isle kids who would mostly like be the Anti-Hero Club who idealize the Core Four. Finally Liberator may not refer to Mal having physically liberating VKs physically from the Isle but liberating them from a concept. Mal liberated them from the idea that they have to obey and fear their parents and showed them that they can make their own choices and that good can beat evil.

I’m wondering if Jane’s birthday pool party occurs in the beginning of the film and afterwards Mal reflects on how great a relationship Jane and Fairy Godmother have. She then thinks about her own family situation with how her mother was horrible to her and literally tried to kill her while she doesn’t even who her father is.  This could kick start Mal’s desire to find her father as he is the only family member she has left.

This week Descendants 3 was filming at Hatley Castle, aka Auradon Prep, and  photos were taken showing a the royal limo now painted purple and a frontal plate reading ‘MAL’. Now a lot of users on Instagram think it’s just going to be Mal’s limo which is a completely valid theory but I’m not totally sold on it.  In the scene with the limo a small stage, decorations, and a green screen can be seen which makes it look like a ceremony is taking place. Also Ben is seen wearing his crown while all the other students, and what we saw of the Core Four, are wearing their normal attire. This all seems very similar to the scene in the first film when the Core Four first arrived. So I’m theorizing that this scene could be a ceremony for the new VKs when they arrive. The reason for the purple limo could be that Mal either spelled it or spray painted it to maybe make it look more appealing to the arriving VKs.

Hades & Mal’s Dad Theory

I know a lot of fans are thinking that Hades is going to be Mal’s father but I’m thinking, and hoping, he won’t be. Even if Hades claims to be Mal’s father it has to be remembered that he is known for manipulating, breaking deals, backstabbing, and lying to get what he wants. My theory is that he will claim to either be Mal’s dad or be able to reunite Mal with her father. Then sometime in the movie he will convince her that he needs her magic either to help him in some way or to bring her father to Auradon. However that is not what he is going to do, he is actually going to bring a villain back to their former glory. Maleficent. I know this seems like a longshot but I’m basing this off a piece of concept art that was seen in one of the cast member’s Instagram stories.

The art shows Sleeping Beauty’s Castle with a purple and black dragon flying over it, and unless they decided to change Mal’s dragon color scheme it could only be Maleficent. I’m theorizing that Hades and Dr. Facilier found lizard Maleficent and she communicated with them somehow a plan that would allow her to regain powers and give them a chance to enact their revenge. Once back to her old form she decides to go after the heroes who originally defeated her.  I’m really just hoping they don’t ruin the canon between the movies and the books.

Descendants 3 Character Spoilers

This post is about leaked spoilers for Descendants 3 that have not been officially released, so read at your own risk. A fan account @descendentes_lover was awesome and found a selfie that an extra posted. In the photo you can see the designs for several characters. 

First we have designs for Squeaky and Squirmy, which shows them wearing matching outfits and reveals that they have white hair. What we can see looks great and I’m glad that Kara decided to give them white hair.

The second spoilers that can be seen reveal something major. It shows what appears to be a daughter of the Queen of Hearts.  You can’t really make out what she is wearing but I believe she is wearing pants that are meant to be hearts shaped. We don’t know what role she has as she could have a major role in D3 or just be a small appearance. This leak does open up the theory that there are other characters in D3 that have yet to be revealed.

In Descendants 2 the villain kids are back and the stakes are even higher in the highly anticipated sequel to the Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendants”! The story deepens …

This article was just released giving information about the Descendants 2 DVD release. It says that there in an extended song in it which I would guess is either “Poor Unfortunate Souls” or “Kiss the Girl”. The article also mentions a deleted song but I’m thinking that it is going to be the deleted song for the first movie which Sofia and Booboo mentioned in an interview with MTV. The song I’m referring to probably took place right after Ben ate the spelled cookie. On a final note the DVD will also have two alternate endings to the movie.
