Wondering what I'm doing here? So am I!
This post contains information on tags I use, what sort of stuff I post, and even some other stuff
I follow from @falser-premise-main
Tags I use:
#hey‚ listen!: my original posts
#art: art. but what is art? you may find this tag seems to be arbitrary, and that’s because it is! such is the nature of language in general but especially the definition of art. anything can be art, but tagging everything as art doesn’t seem like a particularly useful way to use the tagging system. so. yeah. usually word-based arts are included in the #words tag, and not here
#words: primarily used for poetry and fiction
#comic: graphic novels, manga, etc are included
#photography: this is also a more imprecise tag, since I'm not using for all images taken with a camera- it's more for photography as an art form. what does that mean, exactly? well, you see- [that gif of a guy throwing a jug of water and running away]
#gifs: for gifsets and such
#poll: take a fucking guess
#ref: short for reference. posts saved because they contain potentially useful information I might one day use
#halloween: halloween is a state of mind; spooky, fall-y, halloweenish stuff goes here year-round. I don't post jumpscares
#star trek: you probably have at least heard of star trek. if you haven't, get off my blog(I'm joking. mostly. you can stay but you're on thin ice) at least for now posts are mostly about tos, tng, ds9, and voy, but there'll be occasional lwd, snw, and possibly more as I watch more (haven't watched/watched much ent, dsc, pic or pro yet)
#zelda: The Legend Of. again, if you haven't heard of it, get off my blog(again, mostly joking)
#spn: short for Supernatural. as in the tv show. you're on tumblr you've probably heard of it
#911: the tv show 9-1-1. if you don't know what that is and you want to, look it up. or you could browse my tag and base your knowledge solely off what you find there. it may not be a complete and accurate representation, but it could be fun!
#animals: animals are multicellular, eukaryotic organisms in the biological kingdom Animalia. this tag is where I reblog(and on rare occasions, post) pictures of them. mostly photographs of animals rather than [other] art of them, but the occasional piece of art will be here. this does include snakes, but not bugs
#queer: mostly I don't use this one, but maybe that'll change
#aro: use of this is also inconsistent
#the corner: generally I like to keep my blog focused on things I like/enjoy. sometimes there are posts i like but are too upsetting to me to want to have on my blog such that i cannot filter them out. sometimes I cannot resist complaining. complaint posts are mostly if not entirely short-term (removed from my blog after a little)
#chocolate cookbook adventures: i have a chocolate cookbook that has various chocolatey recipes. will report on them here as i make them
#blog name change: I will post here whenever I change my username
I'll generally tag any newly released stuff I'm posting about for a little while after its release, with a basic tag you'll have blocked if you're trying to avoid spoilers. (e.g. "#echoes of wisdom" for LoZ: Echoes of Wisdom). The duration for which I'll tag more thoroughly varies with the circumstances; expect a few months for a new video game or a couple days for a new tv episode.
Stuff I post:
What I feel like. The main topics are mostly covered in the tags above, but I also post miscellaneous stuff. My reblogging a post should not be interpreted as necessarily agreeing with or endorsing the content of the post; sometimes it's just something interesting to ponder, sometimes it's just saying "hey, look over there".
Relatively common topics not covered by the above tags include: whatever I thought was funny, various queer shit(I post this stuff I just don't use the tag much)(includes theory, history, random posts), neurodivergency, mental illness, physical disability, assorted positivity posts, probably other stuff I am forgetting at the moment.
I do sometimes post nsfw stuff, such as pro-union propaganda. Also, some sexual stuff, and some violent stuff.
My primary reason for reblogging is to collect posts that intrigue me in one sense or another. My primary reason for writing original posts is so the thought will leave my head and let me focus/sleep/whatever. You're more than welcome to interact with my blog/posts, but this is first and foremost for me.
Stuff I DON'T post:
I don't post realistic depictions/pictures of bugs because I don't like looking at them. I don't post jumpscares for similar reasons. I also tend to avoid negativity and haterism (I DO enjoy critical analysis).
There are many other things I have not posted, the majority of which I likely will not post. This is primarily due to the infinite number of possible things in the universe.
Other Information:
You're encouraged to send me asks/messages, whether about stuff I've posted or just random stuff. Yes, you.
I follow from @falser-premise-main, but I only post there when I accidentally click the wrong button. If you're on desktop it's supposed to reroute you to this blog if you try to go there.
If I'm posting stuff that is bigoted or misinformation, I encourage you to inform me. That being said, if you don't include some explanation of what is wrong with it(and when applicable, sources to support your claim) I'm extremely likely to ignore it. Vague statements along the lines of "this is bad" are meaningless if you don't explain why/how.
I use a queue for most posts, with 30 posts a day. It generally runs 0-2 days out. If it gets longer than two days I generally get impatient and make it post more.
I have an AO3 if you're interested in such things. It's actually still there even if you're not interested, it just doesn't seem relevant in that case.
Semicolons are the best punctuation mark; the sole true owner of my heart is, and always shall be, the semicolon. The second best are (usually) parenthesis, but depending on my mood can also be dashes- usually in third place- or commas, which are usually fourth. The oxford comma is excellent, beloved, and fucking your dad(it's gay sex to be clear).
DNI if you're not willing to interact. Interaction will be interpreted as willingness to interact.
