wdym gurm is opening a medieval style cocktail bar
well whats the fucking point then?
Links, btw:
The name alone is a catalyst for intrigue. According to a release, Milk of the Poppy originated in medieval times as a “specialty concocted
Easy bet they will have a cocktail called Milk of the Poppy anyway, even if it's opium-free. Heck, I'd put money on cocktails called Dreamwine, Shade of the Evening, and even Moon Tea.
#people better march into grrm's bar and demand their abortion cocktail tyvm
I re-blogged this (the first time) in 2014. Today, I tried half a dozen times to re-blog it, and it wouldn’t work. So, I saved the images and re-posted it. I hope it helps make life a little easier. :-) The original post is by iraffiruse.
Long but cool as hell.
I’ve been using these tips for ten years and not one has failed me.
remember when “lifehacks” were useful?
Those where the days.
remember when lifehacks - good or not - were hacks and not fully just new products?
the uncanny valley between “this academic article doesn’t make sense because i’m an idiot” and “this academic article doesn’t make sense because the author is an idiot”
Reblog to make him lose another 200 billion, like to make him lose 1 billion
AU where instead of a glitch theres a "womp-womp" whenever there is a lie
If I had more technical skills I would 100% edit an episode like this
i feel like a lot of discourse around identities could just be boiled down to “you could not pay me to care about this”
therians? this doesn’t affect me in the slightest. weird transgenders? okay who cares. contradictory labels? none of my business. neopronouns? it takes 5 seconds of my time to google how to use a pronoun set this is like minimal brain work. bi lesbians? i don’t get how that works but the world will keep spinning. normalize minding your own business
Every time I find myself starting to get annoyed by these things, my follow-up thoughts are, what groups of people do these opinions align me with (homophobic transphobic bigots), and who do they alienate me from (other queer people), and I don't have to agree with every other queer person on the planet about every single thing. It's more important for me to be in a world where people can be weird and cringe and annoying; than the alternative of living in a society where heteronormativity is strictly enforced, with dire consequences to all those who do not comply

For con season this year I did a series of prints in a style I call "Duos" with two characters surrounded by a bunch of objects from whatever they're from.
Here's the Locked Tomb ones...it took a long time to come up with the objects please appreciate them...
PRINTS
*kills you & resurrects u* *kills you & resurrects u* *kills you & resurrects u* *kills you & re
surrects you, kills you and--wait hold up. are you. are you getting off on this? oh, that's gross. that's so nasty. stop that. that is NOT what this is. what the hell is wrong with you
*inches away from your grave in disgust* murder and necromancy are one thing but then you had to go and make it WEIRD
And God's not actually going to wipe out all the locals.
#im cradling your face tenderly in my hands. aziraphale is not on board with this#nono dont look away- he's not. he's so not okay with this. he's visibly Bothered by this. hes not excited or happy#he's having Doubts. and has - Has - to rationalise it so he can actually cope with it. “but god's not all bad!” is not him advocating it#he's trying to reassure himself that everything he thinks he knows about god and heaven isnt a lie. that he stands on the side of good#because this early on? if heaven/god is not good - what the Fuck does that make him? what does that mean for his purpose?#he's not happy about the flood. but he has to defend it in whatever way he can. bc what would it say about everything that he's ever known#if he can't???#crowley rightly challenges it. calls a spade a spade and highlights the repulsiveness of the act. even likens it to a hellish act#and aziraphale knows he's right. just bc he cant and doesnt want to admit it to himself does not mean that he's blind to it#it's in fact the opposite. aziraphale sees more than he's given credit for (@thesherrinfordfacility)
"I'm an angel; I can't disobey" shows up in the first episode for a reason. "Don't thank me" shows up during Aziraphale's very first interaction with humanity for a reason.
Aziraphale is not on board with any of the terrible things that happen to humanity or to individual humans. He's seen what happens to those who blatantly disobey, though — not just that they get cast out, but that it accomplished nothing. I think that if it were just the risk to himself, Aziraphale would be willing to Fall; we see that with both Job and Eden. If Falling helped someone, I think Aziraphale would be willing to do it.
Unfortunately, Falling doesn't help. Crowley protested destroying the universe and all he got out of it was getting shunted off to the team that that forces him to do even worse things to God's creation. Crowley didn't want to destroy the universe and his new side hand-picked him to deliver the Antichrist.
The side of Heaven is, unfortunately, still the better side. It allows Aziraphale to help people on a daily basis in a way that Crowley can't. Aziraphale remaining an Angel isn't selfish, cowardly, or done out of ignorance of the cruel things Heaven does. There's no third option available; even Mr. "Our Side" had to deliver the Antichrist.
So, yeah, Aziraphale has to parrot the party line and try desperately to hope there's some actual good that comes along with it, because the alternatives — all the alternatives — are so, so much worse.
