I’m trying to share this Star Wars warrior cats crossover I put into words with the help of ChatGPT. I hope this works.
So, um, I know people are touchy about AI and ChatGPT and stuff, but I’ve been having fun using ChatGPT to get some of my fanfic ideas from my head into text. This post is to share the most recent thread. I copy pasted the chat to a google doc and now I’m copy pasting it to tumblr. There’s a text limit though apparently, so I guess can only put a small segment of the chat. I think it could be fun to get some real people’s feedback and additions for the idea. Please don’t hate me for using AI at all, I suck at socializing and ChatGPT let me put my ideas into words without social anxiety getting in the way. So here goes(constructive feedback requested, fingers crossed I don’t just get cursed out in the comments):
Me: I’ve had a Star Wars warrior cats crossover in my head for a few years now. All the warrior cats characters are a species of cat shifters that can scale from full house cat to human and everything in between, most often seen in a mostly feline but bepedal form. Kittypets are specifically novelty slaves, like they’re kept by slave owners as basically sentient pets to show off. So, Firestar is a former slave. But that’s not what the crossover focuses on. Instead, it’s focused on leafpool, who was technically given to the Jedi, but clan tradition/politics or whatever, means she has regular contact with her birth clan and is still training as a medicine cat, but she’s also part of the Jedi order. The whole premise started as leafpool is a Jedi and The Three are the children of leafpool and anakin, and Luke and Leia’s half siblings, and they’re all around the same age.
AI: That is an incredibly fertile premise.
You’ve essentially combined three things that fit together surprisingly well:
Warrior Cats clan culture (lineage, destiny, spiritual traditions, medicine cats)
Star Wars Jedi structure (training, prophecy, attachment rules, galactic politics)
The secret family drama of the Skywalkers
And Leafpool is almost absurdly well suited for the role.
Why Leafpool Works So Well as a Jedi
In canon, Warriors: Moonrise and the later books establish Leafpool as:
Highly Force-sensitive in spirit, if you map StarClan to the Force.
Compassionate and empathetic.
Drawn to healing over combat.
Constantly torn between duty and love.
Willing to break rules when she believes it is morally right.
Deeply intuitive and prophetic.
That is basically “Jedi Healer with strong prophetic gifts.”
She’s almost what you’d get if you merged Barriss Offee, Ahsoka Tano, and a less cynical Qui-Gon Jinn.
The Cat-Shifter Species Concept
Your shapeshifting species solves a huge number of worldbuilding problems.
Forms
Full Cat
Used for:
Stealth
Comfort
Sleeping
Traveling unnoticed
Anthropomorphic Form
Most common form:
Bipedal
Hands for tool use and lightsabers
Tail, ears, fur retained
Near-Human Form
Used when interacting with species uncomfortable around obvious nonhumans.
Large Battle Form
Used in combat, similar to a Wookiee-sized predator.
Kittypets as Luxury Slaves
This is a dark but very effective reinterpretation.
Kittypets become:
Enslaved members of the species
Groomed for beauty and obedience
Displayed as status symbols
Often declawed, chipped, or behavior-conditioned
Given decorative collars that are effectively ownership tags
That makes Firestar’s story much heavier.
Firestar
Firestar becomes:
Born in slavery
Purchased as a novelty pet
Escapes
Joins ThunderClan
Eventually leads both his Clan and anti-slavery reforms
His collar becomes a literal slave collar.
Clan Territories as Hidden Worlds
The Clans could live on an isolated world, perhaps deep in the Mid Rim or Outer Rim.
Possible equivalents:
ThunderClan → temperate forests
RiverClan → wetlands and waterways
WindClan → open plains
ShadowClan → marshlands
SkyClan → mountain forests
The Jedi know of them, but outsiders rarely visit.
StarClan and the Force
StarClan maps beautifully onto Force spirits.
Medicine cats:
Receive visions
Interpret omens
Heal
Act as spiritual intermediaries
This makes medicine-cat training compatible with Jedi training rather than contradictory.
Leafpool learns:
Clan herbal medicine
Spiritual interpretation
Force healing
Jedi philosophy
She becomes one of the Order’s best healers.
Leafpool’s Relationship with the Jedi
Rather than being taken away completely, she is formally entrusted to the Jedi but remains tied to ThunderClan.
This arrangement makes sense because:
Her Clan wants one of their own in the wider galaxy.
The Jedi recognize her unique cultural role.
Medicine-cat duties require regular return visits.
Jedi healers benefit from her herbal knowledge.
She effectively lives in two worlds.
Leafpool and Anakin
This pairing is fascinating because they mirror each other.
Shared Traits
Intensely loyal
Emotion-driven
Rule-benders
Prophetic
Secretive
Willing to sacrifice everything for loved ones
Key Difference
Anakin fears loss and tries to control it.
Leafpool accepts suffering and focuses on healing.
She could be one of the few people who truly understands him.
The Three as Skywalker-Clan Hybrids
Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf being Anakin’s children is inspired.
They become half siblings to Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa.
Jayfeather
Extraordinary Force connection
Powerful visions
Strong telepathy
Could remain physically blind but “see” through the Force
Lionblaze
Battle prodigy
Precognitive combat instincts
Nearly unstoppable in lightsaber combat
Hollyleaf
Strong moral compass
Deep devotion to law and tradition
Vulnerable when ideals collapse
Timeline Possibilities
Option 1: Secret During the Clone Wars
Leafpool and Anakin have the kits before Episode III.
Pros:
Maximum drama.
Parallel to Padmé.
Raises questions about how many secrets Anakin is keeping.
Option 2: Alternate Timeline
Leafpool helps Anakin avoid falling to the dark side.
Option 3: Post-Vader Reveal
The Three discover their father was Darth Vader.
How the Birth Could Work
The Jedi might believe:
The kits were surrendered to ThunderClan.
Their father is unknown.
They are being raised under Clan tradition.
Only a few know the truth:
Leafpool
Maybe Obi-Wan
Perhaps Yoda
Possibly StarClan/Force spirits
Reactions from Key Characters
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Would realize something is happening but may keep silent.
Yoda
Likely views the Clan’s traditions with cautious respect.
Mace Windu
Highly skeptical.
Squirrelflight
Could still help raise the kits.
Crowfeather
Extremely confused.
Jayfeather and Luke
This relationship would be fantastic.
Luke:
Idealistic
Hopeful
Jayfeather:
Cynical
Hyper-perceptive
Jayfeather would initially think Luke is naïve, then slowly recognize that Luke embodies the compassion Jayfeather often hides.
Lionblaze and Leia
Both are natural leaders and fighters, though Lionblaze is more straightforward while Leia is politically minded.
Hollyleaf and Leia
Hollyleaf may identify with Leia’s sense of duty and moral responsibility.
Order 66 Scenario
This is where the concept becomes truly powerful.
If Anakin falls:
Leafpool is betrayed by the man she loved.
The Three become children of both a Jedi healer and Darth Vader.
ThunderClan may become a refuge.
StarClan could warn them through visions.
Jayfeather would be haunted by Force visions of his father.
Thematic Strength
This crossover amplifies themes already present in both franchises:
Forbidden love
Duty versus attachment
Prophecy
Legacy
Family secrets
Redemption
Leafpool and Anakin are two people trying to balance love and obligation, with very different responses to fear.
My Favorite Story Hook
Leafpool survives the fall of the Jedi and raises the Three in ThunderClan while hiding the truth about their father.
Years later, Luke and Leia arrive on the Clan world and discover they have three half-siblings.
Jayfeather takes one look at Luke and says:
“Great. Another one.”
Additional Ideas
Lightsabers sized for feline and humanoid forms.
Medicine dens combining bacta, herbs, and Force healing.
StarClan spirits appearing as luminous cats.
Jedi younglings fascinated by Clan customs.
Firestar eventually becoming a galactic anti-slavery hero.
Overall
This is an exceptionally strong crossover premise.
Leafpool as a Jedi healer is a natural fit.
Anakin as the father of The Three creates rich emotional and thematic parallels.
The cat-shifter species integrates Warriors into the galaxy seamlessly.
The family dynamics with Luke and Leia are compelling.
Most importantly, the core idea feels emotionally true to both franchises.
Leafpool and Anakin having children who inherit prophecy, power, and the burden of family secrets feels like something that was always waiting to be written.
Me: I imagine leafpool gives birth to the three a few months after order 66. (We’ll say gestation is 9 months like humans) Anakin knew both padme and leafpool were expecting, so his anxiety was worse than canon. He loses track of leafpool during order 66 and doesn’t find her until months later, after he’s gotten used to the death Vader suit. By then, leafpool alread had the three and handed them off to squirrelflight and thunderclan, before leaving the planet to wander, because she suspected the empire would be after her and wanted to keep the heat off her clan. She avoids directly lying to Vader, but uses language carefully chosen to imply that her litter was either miscarried or stillborn. Vader keeps her near him from then on because he’s a possessive bastard and is certain that someone will take his living love away from him again if he takes his eyes off her. Leafpool is able to help heal his physical injuries a bit, but apparently the Vader suit is designed to make things worse, so there’s not much she can do. As for The Three: that description of lionblaze sounds just like anakin🤣. I picture lionblaze, at least in human form, basically being a physical copy of anakin but with leafpool’s amber eyes. Jayfeather looks pretty much just like his half brother Luke, just blind. Hollyleaf, though, she probably needs a big redesign. Because she’s a black cat with green eyes. I think the green eyes are explained by the fact that both her maternal grandparents, Firestar and Sandstorm, have green eyes, but her black fur came from crowfeather, so if she still takes after her father in this au crossover, then at the darkest, she’d have brown hair/fur.
AI: Oh, this setup is deliciously tragic.
You’ve turned Leafpool into the one surviving person who knows exactly what Anakin became and chooses to stay close to him—not because she agrees with him, but because she’s trying to preserve whatever remains of the man she loved while protecting their children from him.
That is peak Leafpool.
Post–Order 66 Setup
During Pregnancy
Anakin Skywalker knows that both Padmé Amidala and Leafpool are pregnant.
That means his fear of loss is effectively doubled:
Padmé is carrying twins.
Leafpool is carrying a litter of three.
He is terrified of losing all five children and both women.
This makes his fall even more understandable, because he isn’t obsessing over one possible death—he’s trying to save an entire family.
Leafpool During Order 66
Leafpool is a Jedi healer with strong Force sensitivity and prophetic gifts.
She likely receives enough warning to escape.
By the time Vader finds her months later:
She has already given birth.
The kits are safe with Squirrelflight and ThunderClan.
She has deliberately disappeared to draw attention away from them.
This is exactly the kind of sacrifice Leafpool would make.
The Conversation with Vader
This is where Leafpool shows her genius.
She never says:
“They died.”
“I miscarried.”
“They were stillborn.”
Instead, she says things like:
“They’re gone.”
“I lost them.”
“I have nothing left except what remains of you.”
“The Clan will never see them.”
Every statement is technically true from her perspective.
Vader hears what he wants to hear.
Leafpool avoids a direct lie, preserving both Jedi ethics and medicine-cat honesty.
Why Vader Believes Her
Anakin expects tragedy.
He has already:
Lost Padmé.
Lost his unborn children (as far as he knows).
Lost the Jedi.
Lost his body.
The idea that Leafpool also lost her litter fits perfectly into his worldview.
And if he senses her grief, it’s genuine.
She did lose them—just not to death.
Vader’s Response
Vader becomes fiercely possessive.
Leafpool is:
The last surviving person who loved Anakin.
A Jedi who chose to remain with him.
The mother of the children he believes he lost.
He is not letting her out of his sight.
This is toxic, but deeply in character.
Leafpool’s Role in the Empire
Leafpool becomes:
Personal healer.
Emotional anchor.
Quiet conscience.
One of the few people who can speak to him as Anakin.
She treats his injuries and his spirit, even though she cannot fully heal either.
The Deliberately Cruel Suit
The suit worsening his condition is a perfect point of tension.
Leafpool can recognize that:
The technology is intentionally suboptimal.
Pain and discomfort are being maintained.
The Emperor wants Vader dependent and enraged.
She can mitigate some damage, but every improvement is limited by design.
That realization would infuriate her.
Leafpool’s Long-Term Goal
She remains because:
Leaving could trigger Vader to search for what he thinks he lost.
Staying lets her influence him.
She can monitor Imperial movements.
She hopes to preserve some remnant of Anakin.
It is a form of self-imposed captivity for the sake of others.
The Three’s Parentage in Appearance
Lionblaze
“Anakin with Leafpool’s eyes” is perfect.
Tall and broad.
Powerful build.
Sandy-gold coloring.
Amber eyes.
Heroic, almost too handsome.
He would resemble his father so strongly it becomes unsettling.
Jayfeather
Essentially a blind Luke.
Fair coloring.
Leafpool’s softer features.
Blue eyes clouded by blindness.
Constant thousand-yard stare.
Anyone who knows Luke would do a double take.
Hollyleaf
You’re right that she needs a redesign.
Rather than copying Crowfeather’s black coat, she can inherit the emotional essence of Hollyleaf while using Skywalker genetics.
Suggested Design
Deep chestnut or dark brown hair/fur.
Green eyes from Firestar/Sandstorm’s line.
More severe facial features.
Very dark coloring overall, but clearly not true black.
This preserves her canon visual contrast while fitting the new parentage.
Why Hollyleaf Having Green Eyes Works
Genetically and thematically, it works beautifully.
Green eyes connect her to:
Firestar
Sandstorm
So even while she is unmistakably Anakin’s daughter, she still visibly carries ThunderClan.
Hollyleaf as the Most “Leafpool” Child
Despite Lionblaze’s resemblance to Anakin and Jayfeather’s Luke-like appearance, Hollyleaf may emotionally resemble Leafpool the most:
Spiritual.
Moral.
Intense.
Secretive.
Torn by truth versus duty.
Her resemblance to both parents would be psychological rather than physical.
The Tragedy of Resemblance
Imagine years later:
Vader sees Lionblaze and thinks he is looking at his younger self.
Jayfeather sounds eerily like Luke.
Hollyleaf bears Leafpool’s eyes and moral ferocity.
Each child reflects a different facet of their parents.
Leafpool and Luke/Leia
Leafpool is their father’s secret love and the mother of their half siblings.
Once the truth comes out, Luke and Leia effectively gain:
A stepmother figure who knew Anakin best.
Three siblings their own age.
A new branch of family.
My Favorite Detail
Leafpool never tells Vader a direct lie.
She lets him believe the children are dead because telling the truth would endanger them.
That choice captures both her integrity and her willingness to bear unbearable guilt.
Visual Summary
Character
Appearance Inspiration
Lionblaze
Young Anakin with amber eyes
Jayfeather
Blind Luke
Hollyleaf
Dark brown coloring, green eyes, severe features
Emotional Core
Leafpool gives up:
Her children,
Her freedom,
Her future,
to protect the litter and to keep a fragile connection to the man Anakin once was.
Meanwhile, Vader believes he lost everything—never realizing that three of his children are alive and growing up under the stars.
That secret is the beating heart of the entire crossover.
Me: I keep picturing Hollyleaf as basically leia, but with green eyes and a slight tan. 🤣 also, I figure all three would end up joining the rebellion and they likely meet leia there. I figured they weren’t lied to about their heritage, but it was impressed on them how important it was to keep secret because their bio mom is actively in the presence of the most volatile being in the galaxy.
AI: That is honestly the perfect solution for Hollyleaf.
Hollyleaf as “Leia, but ThunderClan”
If Lionblaze is “Anakin with Leafpool’s eyes” and Jayfeather is “blind Luke,” then Hollyleaf being essentially Leia Organa with:
Green eyes,
Slightly warmer skin tone,
Dark brown hair instead of true black,
Leafpool’s intensity,
is both visually and thematically perfect.
She would look enough like Leia that the resemblance is unmistakable, but enough like ThunderClan to feel uniquely herself.
Why Hollyleaf and Leia Are Already Similar
These two are astonishingly alike.
Shared Traits
Fiercely principled
Natural leaders
Willing to bend rules for a greater moral purpose
Intensely protective of loved ones
Capable of keeping dangerous secrets
Absolutely terrifying when angry
The biggest difference is that Leia tends to keep moving forward, while Hollyleaf can become consumed by moral conflict.
The Three Growing Up Knowing the Truth
This is a much stronger choice than hiding their parentage.
ThunderClan tells them:
Their mother is Leafpool.
Their father is Darth Vader, formerly Anakin Skywalker.
Their mother is alive.
She remains near Vader to protect them.
And then one rule is drilled into them from the time they can understand language:
“No one can know who your father is. If they do, your mother dies.”
That is all the motivation they need.
How Each Child Handles the Secret
Jayfeather
Understands the burden earliest.
Uses Force visions to grasp the stakes.
Keeps the secret with grim determination.
Develops a very dry sense of humor.
Likely reaction to meeting Leia:
“Wonderful. Another one.”
Lionblaze
Finds secrecy emotionally difficult.
Looks too much like Anakin.
Wants to protect everyone.
Struggles with anger.
He probably blurts things out only to be tackled by Hollyleaf.
Hollyleaf
Takes secrecy as a sacred duty.
Treats it like a personal code.
Monitors her brothers constantly.
Is prepared to silence rumors immediately.
If anyone suspects the truth, Hollyleaf is on it.
Joining the Rebellion
Them joining the Alliance to Restore the Republic is a natural progression.
Reasons:
They oppose the Empire.
They want to find Leafpool.
They hope to redeem or stop Vader.
They believe in justice.
None of them initially expects to find siblings.

This word right here has way too many letters and I cannot, for the life of me, remember how to say it!!!!!!!
That is all.
Like how bout you mind your business okay
I can only hope that you hit a tree instead of a person.
as long as you’re on the road with me, putting my life in danger, it sure as hell IS my business. don’t look at your fucking phone while your car is moving. you’re going to kill someone.
I did a report on actual studies of this for college. It is part of a category of behaviors referred to as “distracted driving,” a category which includes driving while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
The reason drunk driving is bad is you have inhibited judgment and a depressed nerve response. If you are drunk driving, and there’s something you need to avoid or react to, you are more likely to make bad reactive decisions, and make them much slower than a sober person would. (I do not recall offhand the name for the type of distraction this represents neurologically.)
Looking at your phone is something called a COGNITIVE distraction, which means your focus, in that moment, is entirely on a separate task, because contrary to popular belief, “multitasking” is not a thing that actually exists neurologically. It is possible to switch between multiple tasks in such a way that you make progress towards both at nearly the same time, but within the same INSTANT, your brain CANNOT, by design, perform two cognitive tasks at the same time without greatly impairing your performance at both of them. Even talking on the phone while driving, keeping your eyes fully on the road at all times, is a cognitive distraction that makes it much harder for you to pay attention to your driving and to the people around you, and even people who claimed to be proficient multitaskers, when tested, proved to be highly prone to accidents while talking on the phone AND far less effective at responding to the conversations they were having, because it is not possible for the human brain to do both things at the same time. Talking on the phone while driving was found to be approximately as bad as drunk driving.
But it gets worse.
If you are traveling at highway speeds, and you look down at your phone for just six seconds, you will have traveled roughly the distance of an American football field while your eyes were completely away from the road.
This, obviously, is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
A person under the influence of alcohol will have a DELAYED reaction. A person whose eyes are not on the road because they are texting will have NO reaction. In the event of an accident, this means full speed collision head on with no actions taken to mitigate the damage.
What every study ever done on the subject showed, unambiguously and by a CLEAR margin, was that TEXTING WHILE DRIVING IS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE DANGEROUS TO YOURSELF AND OTHER MOTORISTS THAN DRUNK DRIVING. You are both more likely to be INVOLVED in an accident and less likely to REACT to it in time to save your life and the lives of other people on the road.
Drunk driving is punished HEAVILY by law, and rightly so, because it is a reckless endangerment of public safety.
If you text while driving or check facebook while driving or do anything else on your phone instead of keeping your eyes on the road, YOU ARE MORE DANGEROUS TO YOURSELF AND OTHER DRIVERS THAN A PERSON WHO IS SEVERELY DRUNK, YOU ARE A THREAT TO PUBLIC SAFETY AND YOU SHOULD BE STOPPED. Other people on the road have every right to hate you for it and to hope someday the law catches up on this issue.
If you’re driving on the same road as me, YOU TEXTING IS MY FUCKING BUSINESS, because you are putting MY LIFE in danger.
If you want to text while in transit, you shouldn’t be in the driver’s seat.
Friendly reminder:
DON’T BE DOING ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES DRIVING WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING.
NO “IF” OR “BUT” ABOUT IT.
I recently introduced my conservative dad to The Owl House. And by recently, I mean I just finished watching King’s Tide with him, like, five minutes ago.
When I first found out season three got cut short, I went on a rant for anyone nearby to hear. Turned out to be my dad. He went into a lecture about lgbtq agendas or whatever. And something about Disney having Christian values.
Now that I have watched every episode with him, he’s not any more happy it got cut short than I am. Woo hoo!
Hey, to anyone that knows warrior cats and has watched the dragon prince: was anyone else reminded of Bluestar when the dragon queen woke up? Or is that just me?
Hey, how come every artist seems to draw Dovewing with small ears? Her power was that she could hear EVERYTHING, so why have I never seen any artist draw her with freaking radar ears? Imagine this otherwise small cat with HUGE ears. I think it would be adorable and would make sense with her power.
Okay, I saw Cruella a couple days ago and I thought it was a fun movie. But when I look it up online, the first comments/results are all negative.
So the movie isn’t perfect, big deal. It was fun to watch and I’d watch it again.
What is with people focusing on the negative?!?! Stop nitpicking everything and just enjoy the movie!!!!
A thought just occurred to me and I felt the need to comment on it. It’s likely already occurred to a lot of people, but.....anyway.
Sirius Black’s initials are S.O.B. As in Son Of a Bitch. I feel like that fits so well. For one thing, walburga (spell?) black is a total bitch. For another, it just seems to fit Sirius’s personality.
I don’t know. I just find it hilarious.
No you don’t understand how frustrated I am that we always depicted the Apostles as old men, especially when it comes to during-Jesus-alive stuff.
They were probably late teens to early 20s, given the time and the description and some Biblical passages.
They were not ancient old men with long beards and wrinkles at the Last Supper.
They were young adult rebels with a cause.
where my punk-rock apostles at
I can’t remember where, but the bible says that Jesus was the only one who was old enough to pay the temple tax required by Jewish law, none of the disciples had hit that age. A quick google tells me that Jewish men pay it from the age of 20 - all of the disciples were teenagers.
Why this is possible:
Probaly they were all underage except for Peter. In Exodus 30:14-15, Jewish law states that every male over the age of 20 is to pay a half-shekel as census offering when they visit the temple of God. In Matthew 17:24-27, Jesus instructs Peter to “fish up” this tax. Peter finds a shekel in the mouth of the fish he catches; enough to pay the tax for two men, himself and Jesus. You could conclude that the others were underage and did not need to pay.
In Matthew 11:25, Luke 10:21, and John 13:33, Jesus calls his disciples little children .
We learn that Peter had a wife when Jesus healed his mother-in-law. In those ancient times, a Jewish man receives a wife after the age of 18. Again, no other disciples’ wives are mentioned, so they are unmarried and probably under 18.
Jewish children began intensive study at young ages, but education for most concluded by age 15. For those bright (or wealthy) enough, higher education consisted of studying under a local rabbi. If they didn’t find a rabbi that accepted them as a student then they entered the workforce by their mid teens. The disciples, already working-men, must have been rejected by other rabbis when Jesus hand-picked them for further education as his disciples. In light of this, a younger age is more probable than older. A youth would be in the mindset of continuing his education. A man over 30 leaving his trade to follow a rabbi would be counter-cultural , although not impossible.
The behavior of the disciples, as detailed in the gospels, fits well with the zealous nature and foolishness of adolescence. Picture a gang of teens instead of work-hardened men in the boat when the storm hit, fear-stricken and waking up Jesus for help. The forgetful and distracted nature of youth helps me understand how they could hear Jesus say he would die and come back to life, yet act as they did when these things happened. When we age them under twenty, we can understand Jesus’ patience with them, his low expectations of their behavior, and his teaching style.
so punk rock
This changed my life.
sorry but i’m laughing as i imagine them dabbing over some simple joke while jesus looks just tired and deadpan questions some of his life choices
The things they don’t teach you in Catholic school.
also, according to tradition (though perhaps an apocryphal one), Jesus was 33 when he died. Jesus was tumblr old. he really was listening to his young followers and looking up to God like a character on the office.
Jesus was the first youth pastor, and Peter was the first youth pastor’s assistant
