Crys + Headcanons!:

The Most Chill Guy in Ghost Company. Maybe in the 212th

Nickname central. But like, really generic ironically affectionate nicknames like ‘love’ ‘dear’ ‘sweetheart’ to his brothers (and anyone else he’s close to including Jedi and Civilians)

Master slicer and hacker, outdoes most Jedi and Clones, but super chill about it and always willing to teach others, whatever their skill level.

Often takes over for Gearshift who really does try to teach, but has a fraction of the patience for people as he does for mechanics and tech.

Not often on the active battlefield, too busy working intelligence or hacking into their latest acquired separatist tech/droid head.

That said he has full ARC training and is a very good shot.

Helps the boys figure out how to update droid poppers and the like to be more effective. He carries a modified blaster that definitely isn’t regs but since said mods don’t harm flesh and blood beings, Cody lets it slide

(And as mentioned, he’s kind of important in predicting the battlefield.)

His natural hair is dirty blond

He dyes it eye-seering yellow and insists on calling it ‘light blond.’ It might be tolerable if he used some kind of toner, but Crys can smell it a mile away and has delved into his vast store of blackmail when tricked into using it. Trapper has yet to recover.

Plas (CMO) is constantly threatening to chop it off citing field safety. “You’re gonna blind someone.”

The boys take to calling him a walking yellow flag/warning sign.

FPAU - More Wooley stuff! - Basics + Art here!

Despite being younger age wise, he’s actually one of the oldest members of Cody’s Ghost Company, joining a few months before Anakin’s knighthood.

Cody had recently taken over the 212th when Obi-Wan warned him they were taking a particularly young cadet who’d gotten under Nala Se’s radar for exceptional skill.

Shaak Ti was still running investigations on just what the Kaminoans did to these skilled young clones. All she had so far was she never saw them again, so Shaak rapidly sent out as many as she could to keep them safe, citing Republic Property Laws to do so.

So Wooley, barely 17 in natborn years, gets sent to the 212th because they have a free spot and she has a good feeling about this

Internally, Cody’s panicking.

Externally he tells Obi-Wan it’s no problem. They’ve kept Padawan Anakin alive this long, they can look after another kid.

Sure Cody’s not as friendly as Bly, but cadets never feared him like Bacara.

Wooley slots in very well, guided under old hands and safe under the Jedi’s protection.

And he quickly rises through the ranks, heading off to ARC training a few months after joining. Cody figures this must be what it’s like to have a Padawan. He can see why his General enjoys teaching so much.

Wooley gets his name because of his particularly fluffy hair and the gentleness he somehow keeps through all his experiences. From escaping Kaminoans, becoming a POW, and all kinds of other things.

Instead of turning harsh, he becomes even more warm and friendly, getting even the most frightened civilian or shiny to open up.

By the time we get to Enaya in the FPAU, it’s year 3 of the war and he’s an established member of the 212th, with a role sneaking around as a Shiny, making sure they’re adjusting well and that there’s no other problems.

He’s one of the most excited to have a new Padawan Commander, having only gotten the tail end of Anakin’s, and being a few years younger anyway.

Except Enaya’s coming off the back of a boatload of trauma specifically surrounding armoured men, and if it wasn’t for a Senate Mandate demanding all Jedi over 14 become field Commanders, she’d still be healing at the Temple. Would likely become a Healer herself.

First impressions… do not go well.

It’s corrected soon enough. But Wooley gets his first experience of actually being seen as the elder, experienced clone he is rather than acting like the shiny his age suggests

Cody’s like ‘yep. This is how I felt when you joined us.’

Having also joined when he was young and off the back of immediate threat to his life, he ends up being a key part of helping Enaya adjust. Relating to her on a more personal level and giving her advice/training.

As well as being someone to talk to, and the voice of reason on occasions the other clones don’t understand why certain things are difficult.

THIS THIS A THOUSAND TIMES THIS

Literally one of the main reasons I focus so much on Fox in the FPAU which I’ve still posted very little of, and even other work is this right here. I love Fox! I stand by my hc that 99% of clones and Jedi loved Fox, and even if they didn’t, they respected him immensely.

I also stand by my hc that Rex never blamed Fox because even he was disturbed listening to Fives’ ravings. And he’d known the man for years. If nothing else, Fives went for the blaster and Fox had every reason to believe he’d shoot.

In all honesty, giving Fives a chance to stand down after he was seen trying to assassinate the Chancellor says a lot more about Fox’s character than people realise.

I’m not gonna get into Ahsoka because the majority of takes I see around that whole situation ignore glaringly obvious evidence the Jedi cared deeply about her and wanted her safe, but the situation was pulled from their hands. And at the end of the day, you can’t afford to make these decisions with emotion. Let alone anything about how Fox was justifiably upset about someone trying to defend a rogue Jedi who’d killed his men.

Sidenote for Fingon. Rip my dude. Tried his best but he made some pretty questionable decisions. Murder. He did murder.

Loving this universe you’re creating! It’s so fun to see a Galaxy years into a future where Luke successfully rebuilt the Order, don’t see so many of these AUs.

I adore the clones, but I think we don’t let the Jedi feel nearly bitter or traumatised enough post Order 66. Specifically towards their men.

Only a small handful ever found out about the chips. And even those who did, probably five, ten years later, I sincerely doubt all of them would feel all that forgiving. Even if they wanted to.

They might understand it wasn’t the clones’ fault. But it’s hard to forget legions of men in painted armour, men you thought were *good* and who you treated as family despite all available evidence warning they were a threat, turning on you in a split second. Hunting you down and killing your family, then creating traps and dragging survivors to facilities all over the Empire they created.

I don’t think they’d be angry, but I also don’t think these former Jedi would be able to trust them again.

I don’t think they’d want to.

Y’know how disagreeing with men can become such a minefield?

1. I don’t imagine Jedi as a whole have that problem because of their whole philosophy and way of life. And in the rare occasion the female Jedi won’t do it herself, everyone will call out any guy who’s steamrolling a conversation.

2. The reason female Jedi got along so well with their men wasn’t because of any budding feelings. It was simply because these men were the first outside the Jedi Order who genuinely listened to and acknowledged them. And if there is a suggestion or point to be made, wait until after they’ve finished speaking, acknowledge their point, then say their own thing.

Marshal Commander Hangout:

More than half the GAR is down with a really annoying flu that isn’t life threatening, but will be on the field because brain fog. Joys of being clones.

Bly, Bacara, Fox, Cody, and Neyo somehow all end up on Coruscant and are sitting in a room together like.

“…so how’s your life going?”

Bacara’s ranting because someone spread a rumour he and Ki Adi hate each other. They don’t. The Outer Rim sieges are *horrible* and you take any moment of peace you can. Both he and Ki Adi are introverts so don’t talk much, and enjoy each other’s company the better for it. They like each other just fine thank you very much.

Bly asks about the many reassignments from his Legion into other, less war facing groups. Bacara tells him to shut up. Sure Ki Adi might not like his penchant for perfection, but he understands why he does it.

Neyo’s constantly shifting from one Jedi to the next, which is fine but they’re all so sneaky, and he works in intelligence. He’s the sneakiest of the lot. Not to mention since creating the Almanac of Clankers for Kamino training, his men have started calling him a nerd and he’s losing his no-nonsense, cold reputation and doesn’t appreciate it.

Cody, as we know, keeps running into Sith and complains his men have got it into their heads that they can tackle *lightsaber wielding opponents* with nothing but their bare hands.

“Wow, Codes. Wonder where they got *that* from?”

He also keeps insisting Grievous should be added to Neyo’s Almanac. Neyo says only Cody’s men are dumb enough to treat Grievous like one and he has no intention of encouraging this behaviour.

Bly’s not having the worst time of it which just isn’t fair. His men listen well. But he could do without having to retake the same planets five times over because they keep pulling everyone out too early.

Fox is dealing with the single worst group of people in the galaxy and the others don’t even try to argue that. Those of his men who *aren’t* patrolling around the Senate - the CG deal with all of Coruscant - have a habit of ending up in the under cities of Coruscant and just last week came across a several thousand year old Sith Behemoth that took three Companies and several Jedi Masters to… dispose of.

But he’s enjoying hanging with the various Jedi sent to his office to help with the formwork. And hey, at least he doesn’t have to amuse himself for the weeks of nothing travelling through hyperspace consists of.

The others envy him for that if nothing else. Bored clones are a recipe for disaster.
