I own 2 hyroglyphic river cooter turtles, 1 veil tail betta, 2 hmpk bettas, a halfmoon betta, a female betta, a cat, 2 corn snakes, 1 western hognose, 5 4 crested geckos, 3 hooded rats, a pit bull mix, and besenji mix dog. Feel free to ask me questions, I've worked at a pet a high quality pet store for about a year now, but please don't expect me to know all the answers but I'll try my best! Help meeee

So I no longer have my 2 turtles I decided to give them to someone who has a pond that’s over 3,000 gallons rather than the 300 gallon tub they had so.... now I have a 125 gallon fish tank that I have no clue what to stock with, I want a community tank so far I have 6 cories, 10 white clouds, and 5 danios, and 1 female betta. I was thinking of possibly doing a female sorority since it’s over 100 gallons and can be heavily planted but idk what do you guys think? I have plenty of other Aquariums in case they don’t all get along and I would only do max 5 females or should I just stick to having my 1 female and get more community fish?

I think I underestimated the water wisteria’s ability to absorb nutrients, because it outcompeted all the other plants in this tank to become the One True Aquarium Plant

And because I planted all the water wisteria in the front of the tank, you can’t even see my cool sticks anymore lol

At least Guy loves all his plants!!

just a little bit of an update on yukio’s tank after my most recent water change- you’ll probably notice it looks a lot different than last time!

i had a -lot- of failures with live plants, to the point where i was just throwing money in the garbage. i have three plants that are doing great for now, so i’ll probably let them grow and thrive for a while before i try some more. in the mean time, i added some more realistic silk plants so he can have some more cover. he’s doing really well!!

he also has a cool nerite snail buddy who i named kuro. you guys weren’t kidding when you said they poop a lot. i really have to keep up with water changes to keep my sandy substrate looking nice (which is why i took pictures AFTER the water change lol)

Water change and the tank is yellow. One reason why I can never get clear nice photos of the pair. Female was ready to breed again while the male just flared and went to hide after a bit. The female is less shy while the male stays in the back.

i started a project i like to call “make the spood shelf beautiful” so i’m doing some enclosure maintainance. Dolores and Sybill finally got a home makeover.

i’m kind of pleased with the result, their terrariums look kind of neat now and i’m glad i stopped resisting fake plants because they do look nice and are low-maintanance

Sybill and Dolores are both pissed because i messed with their appartments so i offered them both an extra mealworm as a token of my friendship.

Sybill, god bless her, accepted it and is sitting there all nomnomnomnom

The spawn of hell Dolores is sulking in the back left corner and won’t talk to me but what can ya do. at least she didn’t throw a threat pose and boy was i prepared to get bitten when i stuck my hand in there today lsdkfjldskfj boy do i love keeping big spiders
