I think a lot of people on here if they’re not on Twitter also don’t really realize how malicious it is out there. Half of their content is screenshotting people’s posts and making fun of it. They’ve moved over to fanfiction and making fun of gwynriel stories, taking pictures from ao3 and roasting it. A certain part of the fandom online is going out of their way to find content against their views and to make fun of it. This is not creating a safe space for content creators at all. Ive definitely encountered fanfiction or art I don’t like even within my own ships and I just ignore it. I never go out of my way to find fanfiction of a ship I dislike to make fun of. There’s a difference between commenting on theories you don’t like, or calling out bad behaviour and sharing peoples stuff around maliciously. it’s extremely disheartening to see a whole side of the fandom using their energy to make fun of others that don’t agree with them.

Um, what the actual fuck. Why are people so disgusting???

I knew about Twitter, obviously, with the screenshotting to make fun of other people. It's happened to me. They also tend to stalk the same tumblrs to make fun of, it's like a pathetic hobby. And for people who are here or IG but not Twitter, they don't really realize how toxic that part of the fandom is. It's really, really gross.

For anyone curious, go on to twitter and search "gwynriel". It will only take a few minutes to want to run away screaming. So I just don't go there.

But I made that comment about fanfic on an ask kinda sarcastically?? I had no idea that people were actually doing that.

There is zero reason to behave this way. These people are miserable. And this is why I'm done being nice about it! I don't care what people do or don't ship or what theories or whatever they like! Don't be an asshole!

I dropped out of high school so someone please tell me - is this what it's like??? I have a sneaking suspicion that this is what it's like. The maturity level after acosf came out dropped to -17.

I am legit curious though - for people who haven't scrolled through the twitter fandom, take a look. Is it what you expected??

I am sorry for everyone who feels unsafe in the fandom. I wish there was something we could do to make it stop. The best I can suggest is to stay FAR away from Twitter and when they bring their bullshit here (like they did today), then call it out.

Feyre reflects on Helion's method of killing those beasts and it immediately brings her to the memory of Rhys's bloody hands when he killed those Ravens.

When Feyre questions why he didn't stop Beron from abusing Lady of Autumn, Helion says that LoA chose to stay with Beron and he emphasizes on Chose. That to me screams mate rejection that he had a long time to deal with the devastation that came with it and that explains the many lovers he has.

I definitely want to read about Helion and Lady of Autum's forbidden romance, that's top quality forbidden romance here.

tldr: the Internet Archive/WayBack Machine is super important in term of archived content, billions of stuff are on there, and with the current event happening in the world like stated above,without this tool, it will be hard to properly document what took place. It will be easy for certain people to rewrite history. Dont let them.

Sometimes I want to write analyses of the ACOTAR series, like how ACOFAS made Nesta and Feyre even in terms of trauma they’ve caused each other and set the foundation for the next book because these characters were taken off the pedestal that is Feyre’s POV, or how Feyre in all four books was the most normal/average character I’ve ever seen for YA protagonist which is not a bad thing at all, but is also why a lot of the times she doesn’t seem to grasp the full concept of being a ruler or governing a family let alone a fae society so much that she starts to come off as being pompous or an ass, and unfortunately she has to rely heavily on Rhysand in supply of this information who often does behave like a pompous ass, or how Cassian’s insecurities are a lot of what fuels Mor and Azriel’s ability to have an honest conversation with each other and how his inability to communicate his feelings is also why Nesta and Cassian are one why they’re made for each other, and two why he can’t help her in a way that’s productive, or how Mor’s background and traumatic history could possibly make her feel unsafe to come out to the inner circle, because the last time she made a big decision regarding her own autonomy and sexuality she was nailed at the edge of the Autumn Court, but how this experience also reflects in everything she does especially in regards to keeping the charade going but also her feelings towards others whether deserved or undeserved, hint Nesta, hint Eris.  

But then I’m like ehh. Who cares? Everyone writes these things and analyses are always biased in terms of our own interpretations even if we pull evidence out of every page and that seems like a lot of work and I often enough go on tangents that weave into something else and so the arguments will never be finished and CURSE YOU SJM for making characters that are imperfect that they’re so perfect to analyze but require so much work to do so.

And here we see X-Men perfectly illustrating the disparity between the larger disability community (Storm) and the chronic illness community (Rogue). One wants society to accept & respect them & their various different needs, which is surely a noble cause, while the other would like to NOT BE IN PAIN EVERY FUCKING DAY, which is just as important but often gets shouted down by non-ill disabled people who only want to talk about disability as a social construct.

Okay I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet but the new ACOTAR covers represent the "main" ships

The wolf is Tamlin, while the arrow is Feyre

The crown is Rhysand (don't know why they used a crown actually but it makes sense if you notice-) the ring in his claw, which should be Feyre (the ring she took away from the Weaver)

The blade/dagger is Cassian (and maybe the darker shapes too, resembling his Illyrian tattoos) while that cloud is supposed to be Nesta (her dark/sinister/maybe-death power)

While the sun is Lucien (since he is actually Helion's son and heir, of the Day Court) and the flower is Elain (since... well, she likes them) Does this mean Elucien is canon confirmed?
