This scene from Taking the Fifth, silly as it is, means a lot to me. As someone who was told numerous times having short hair made me unattractive and just had comments made about my looks being unappealing to men/in general, seeing Hawkeye so happy to see and into a girl who looks like me made me so happy. She has short hair and isn’t a traditional beauty. She’s quirky looking and it’s endearing and he loves it. Sure, he calls her “all my naughtiest dreams comes true” and it’s just a silly scene for his comeuppance, but this little bit with nurse Palmer always made me feel so good just to have a moment of a girl who looks like me being hyped 🫶🏻
