literally all I could think about while shane and yuna were having their Moment
i have been noticing recently that people younger than me are too sensitive, while people older than me are not sensitive enough. which, if i'm correct, should be taken as a sign that the total reality penetration vortex is operating as intended -- within as few as five or six generations we may very well be producing babies who can directly perceive the wound at the heart of the world
i can tell by the way you successfully manage your emotions and reactions that you’re never experienced trauma, because i personally have never even considered the idea of learning how to manage and deal with my trauma response rather than stew in it and bring it up every time someone tries to tell me im acting out of pocket
gen z is trying to cancel the mysterious and horrible obelisk im building at the edge of town
you're telling me this hole is significant to the plot?
I'd like to propose a media literacy standard called "the Tide Pod test":
when you see someone on TV or the internet complaining about something "kids" are doing, ask yourself how many times - if ever - you've actually seen it happen vs how many times you've seen random third parties whine about it.
if the ratio of whining to actual incidents is more than 2:1, you can probably ignore the whole thing. if it's more than 10:1 you should be actively telling the people whining to shut the fuck up.
I love how on Reddit when you sort by "top posts" it gives you posts in descending order by number of upvotes but if you sort by "top" on tumblr in a tag they just give you a bunch of random ones with kind of a lot of notes
