We are in great need of diapers and wipes to assist with the long term needs of the thousands of moms and babies that are trying to rebuild their lives.💞 We are grateful for our community friends at #liftinghandsinternatinal for hosting a drop off location for us. LHI is a beautiful organization that sets up fully furnished apartments for new refugee families that are resettled in Arizona. I'm telling you, nothing says "hello fall you're welcome here," like a loaf of warm banana bread🍌🍞😍 This was my first time making a #vegan and gluten free loaf with dairy-free chocolate chips and #coconutsugar instead of #canesugar. I realized when it was time to pour it in the pan that I didn't own a single aluminum loaf pan🙈🙉🙊😂😂....so I lined my glass loaf dish with wax paper sprayed it with coconut oil and packed that yummy banana mixture on in there and popped in the oven with a prayer!! 😂😂 I've experienced a few kitchen tragedies with my glass dishes in the past totally breaking during my attempts to be a homemaker!! 😂😂 This bread turnout warm, soft, dense on the inside with a slight crusty crunch on the outside!! I had a peace with a warm cup of tea and it totslly made my day😍😍 What's you favorite fall comfort dessert?? My morning pick-me-ups ....I've been running myself ragged over the last few weeks, really months since school has started for the kids again! Endless carpools, long carpool traffic lines, lunch box packing, field trip going, nose blowing, bed making, floor mopping, grocery shopping, brushing the little teeth in my house...and mounds of endless laundry were as soon as you finish the last load you realize someone in the house threw a random pair of stinky socks in the dirty basket, starting the dirty clothes cycle all over again only a few minutes after you thought you conquered it!!🙈🙉🙊 At any moment I feel like I could lay on this GIANT pile of unfolded clean clothes that have been staring at me for the last 3 days and sleep for about 5 days straight!! 😂😂 So, here's my daily dose of B-12 to give me a little kick in the back to keep going, my daily vitamins, probiotics, and herbal wellness formula drops. Happy Monday Friends❤ Our #MomMentor volunteers have been working diligently over the last few weeks to set up and rally support for our community diaper and baby supply drive to assist with the long term needs of the millions of mommies and kids impacted by the many devasting hurricanes we've experiences over the last month. We have multiple community friends, business, and missionaries on ground that have agreed to support and host a donation/ drop off location in AZ. We have missionaries and distribution support on ground in areas that are working to rebuild after the hurricanes that will receive and help distribute diapers door to door. I think of the mother's and children that are struggle to survive day to day and don't have any where to go, or any of the day to day necessities to care for themselves and their children, it brings me to my knees and makes me cry ❤ But in the mist of those tears, I know we can each do something to bring a bit of #HOPE to another mom, so we are working to do our part, and invite you to team up with us.👭 I will post more details on tommorow about our specific drop off locations and times, and or where you can donate financially to help fund purchase cost for bulk baby supplies and shipping cost. 100% of what is donated for hurricane relief, with 100% go toward hurricane relief. Meet our sweet feiend Junta. ❤ Junta and his family survived living in the refugee camps, surrendering all that they had in order to keep themselves alive with the hope of one day finding a place of peace, a place of rest, a new place to call home. Junta and his family have begin rebuilding there lives here in Arizona, and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to plant seeds of love with them, making there new house feel like a home❤. Since 2008 117,000+ refugees from Burma have resettled in the U.S. but there are still millions of refugees that are displaced, living in refugee camps, and many with no place to live. It's painful when I think of the millions of moms around the world that are fighting to keep their families alive, trying to figure out were their next meal will come from, or if it will come at all...so days like this bring so much joy to my heart to see another mother smile upon her son as he received this new bike. It may not seem like much, but having your own bike, books, and toys represents the hope of a new day and of the rebuilding of Junta's childhood.. This day, Junta's mom can watch her son play outside with the other children, riding his bike, basking in his laughter...leaving the days of war, struggle, hunger, and sadness behind. Thank you to all of our community partners, friends, and family that continue to support our #MomsOnMissions projects. Thank you to our friends that donated all the beautiful bikes. #LibraryNerds 🤓📚 ...here are some of our library finds for the week. On the right are books we've checked out and on the left are books that were given to us free at the library through the Benevillla Family Resource Center and from our play groups in the area supported by the First Things First program. I try to take the kids to the library about 3x a week during the summer and at least once a week during the school year.(life happens, we don't always make it 3x a week😢😊) I know that our world is growing digitally and you can download just about any book on the planet, but I believe it's important to teach children how important the library is, that checking out tangible "real" books will never go out of style. I spent this summer teaching my little one how the library files there books by topic, author, and alphabetical order and how to find specific books. We kinda do book "treasure hunts" were we choose a topic or book author and see if we can find it. The digital world is amazing, but there's nothing like holding a book in your hands, feeling and turning through those pages, seeing those colorful pictures...it strengthens their imaginations and ours too!! 😊 I want my sweet ones to know that our library is more than books, it's a place were community takes place, we meet new people, discover the world, and story time grows our imaginations. It's good ole fashion, FREE fun!!! (FYI- the Junie B.
