Other than not having any more parents. Relative's doesn't even bother to care to take you in. It's a reason of why some of the kids in Playcare use this news to make fun of your situation. They're one to talk.
After the incident that happened to your parents that led to their death. You've become quiet, became more... Tuned out, preferring to stay in your own space. The adults said that it's a traumatic response from losing your parents. You couldn't agree more.
After staying in Playcare for a while. The other children learned to stop their ways of bullying you, seeing that no reaction are coming out. You preferred it that way, no disturbances.
*squeeak*
Quickly turning your head to the sound. To the intruder of your own safe haven of a space. You narrowed your eyes seeing a boy who flinched under your disappointed look. Your just in your usual spot, sitting beside a large bookshelf, dwarfing yourself beside it where no one could notice you. Most of the kids are out and about. So you wondered who's this boy is.
"I– uhm, Hi..."
"....."
Not hearing a response from you, he still quietly approaches your spot, carefully so, as if trying to tame a tiger. After closing some distance, he sat in front of you in a squat-like-style, placing his hands on his knees, looking on the cover of the book you've been reading.
Not making any more move from his spot, you continued minding your own business. Reading the book once again. Not minding the new presence as long as the other party isn't doing something that'll make you want to leave your spot.
"....."
"....."
"... Lord of The Mysteries by Cuttlefish, right? The book your reading."
"....."
"I didn't know they have something like that here."
"....."
You tried to tune him out. If you don't respond, then it means he'll stop talking. He'll definitely leave you alone too, a person who shows no interest in interacting with the person trying to engage will only drain them, leading them to find some new different kind of entertainment instead.
"Are you a new reader of the novel? Which chapter are you on right now?"
He's very persistent. Asks a lot of questions too. But he also sounds genuine. Doesn't have the intention to annoy you, just an actual curious one. You'll feel bad if your just going to continue to pretend he's not there.
Letting out a prolong sigh, the boy flinched, don't get him wrong, he's not really scared, just caught of guard, wondering what kind of reaction your going to show him, your known to only keep to yourself after all, none actually knows you that much.
"I'm a new reader... I'm at the chapter where Klein just got killed."
"Wait... He died ?"
Oh great. You actually just spoiled a certain event to the boy. Well, at least you didn't said he got revived. He's fault though, who asks if someone is a new reader when they themselves are more of a new reader?
"What chapter are you even on right now?"
"Oh, the part where Klein helped Mister Azik recover his memories from his past lives."
"... Who asks someone if they're a new reader, when the person themselves are one?"
Tilting his head, he wondered what he said is wrong with it, isn't that how your suppose to lead a conversation between two people who has the same interest?
Looking directly at him now, you find him adorable, his actions that is, it's not bothering you as much as you thought... Maybe you two could get along.
"Well... That's the only thing I can come up with to start a conversation with you."
Instead of continuing to make eye contact with you, it seems like he finds it more interesting looking on the floor.
"Purposely making the toy squeak, saying hi, and sitting in front of you– didn't get your attention as much, so I just said what I said earlier..."
Gaslighting himself into thinking that it's just how two people start conversations with same interests is what he wanted to believe, but he should've said something else. The way he answered your question made it seems like he's desperate. Even though his previous actions are intentional, trying to gey your attention. It's not a good impression if he can say so to himself.
"... Pft–"
Giggling to yourself, the boy abruptly looked in your direction one again from hearing it. Seeing your covering the lower half of your face with the book, seemingly trying to hide your widening smile. His ears reddening from the innocent display of laughter. He doesn't know from what exactly, was it from embarrassment? Though his reason is in contrast from the thumping of his heart.
Calming yourself down. You stare into his eyes again. You're aware of how everyone thought of you as someone indifferent, a child having a traumatic response that leads you wanting to isolate yourself. However, you're still just a child, needing some sort of presence with you.
Grinning, you asked the boy his name.
"Well, since you've made effort in trying to talk to me, what's your name?"
Shocked by your move of wanting to know his name first, he also grinned, happily answering your question.
"I'm Oliver! But you can just call me Ollie instead!"
"Hmm.. Ollie you say? Well, my names' [Name]. You can just call me... [Name]."
"... But isn't that already your name?"
"Exactly."
You sound so proud of yourself, making yourself sound as if what you said make sense, and well– Ollie short circuited for a moment, trying to make it sense, before his smile widen in an innocent grin, and while some wouldn't find it funny, Ollie's chuckles says otherwise.
"Well then, it's nice to meet you [Name]! And well... I hope we can be friends...?"
At this moment, watching this boy going along with you, hoping for some kind of approval to befriend you, it hit you with realization that making a friend doesn't really sounds so bad.
"Sure Ollie! let's be friends."
A lot of things happened. After being friends with Ollie, you've learned to become friends with the other kids. However, the following events follows. Disturbing ones. The other orphans are missing, though according what the adults says, they are we're being adopted. Soon after too, Ollie got adopted by the owner of Playtime Co. Nothing changed much between you two, still having contact with each other, not as much as before, but it's not something that can break the bonds between you two. Not even long after he got adopted, you also got taken in by a couple. Leaving him and your other friends behind.
CHAPTER 1
You're a teenager now, returning to the ruined building of Playtime Co. Exploring the inside of what once your home. Well, you have another purpose, you wanted to uncover the truth, you know that there's something else than this building being a toy factory along with being once an orphanage. Trying to uncover the truth about the destruction, specially the truth behind your friends disappearance. You've made it your mission to do so.
I just finished watching the Moriarty the Patriots anime (I haven't read the manga) – and I have been thinking about the Holme's brothers background story.
Like what led Mycroft to join the British government, why did Sherlock became so fascinated with experimenting chemicals and solving complicated cases?
What if it's because of their sickly little sister. The youngest Holmes. The only daughter and sister of the Holmes' Family. Where the medicines and even with getting treatment from the best doctors is said that their little sister's condition of being cured is close to none. Since the illness that their little sister has is claimed to be incurable, or an illness doesn't have the best medicine yet to prevent the illness from getting worse.
The little sister of the Holme's Family has a name here, but I didn't describe the appearance, it really isn't necessary.
This is also just a little "what if" or "imagine" so don't take it too seriously.
The Holmes' is known that this family son's are geniuses. They are prodigy's. Acing everything in what they'd do.
Well, only one of them is taking their gift in a serious manner, having such an advantage, he wouldn't let this pass, thus becoming into what they call a prodigy. Actually making use of this gift. Whether it may be about politics, other subjects or even things that even older people wouldn't understand, he'd be able to achieve his desired outcome.
Mycroft Holmes, the heir of the Holmes' family. The genius prodigy. The eldest son.
The second son, however. Is a leisure one. Doesn't care about whatever "gift" this old folks are talking about. He's a genius like his older brother, though he's still too young to even grasp the importance of having such a gift. Choosing freedom rather than focusing in his studies. And even without placing much focus on particular subjects, he still ended up acing each and every one of them. So such a thing isn't a bother to him.
Sherlock Holmes, the young prodigy of the Holmes' family. The second son.
And lastly, the youngest and only daughter of the Holmes' family. She's a sickly one. Always bedridden. She had always been an active baby, however, she was only diagnosed with this said illness when she was only 4. Her small body couldn't handle something this early, not used to pain, it makes her feel as if something is weighing heavy on her form. She's considered as an unfortunate one, bearing something so painful. Not being blessed like her two older brothers.
Eurydice Malachi Sherlyn Holmes, the only little sister of the Holmes' brothers and the only daughter of the Holmes' family. The youngest Holmes.
•°•
°•°
Eurydice is closer with Sherlock, or what she address him as Sherly. The two of them are close to each other when they were little kids, and even when they are already grown up.
He always stayed by her side when he's done with his studies, trying to play with her, he's aware of how hard it is for his little sister to move, so he played with her dolls at her own pace, sometimes even performing a puppet show for her to make her laugh, trying to distract her from the pain.
Sherlock at that time still doesn't know what kind of illness he's sister has, but he did noticed how it's always hard for her to breath.
It doesn't fail to tug at his heart whenever he saw her having a hard time catching her breath, laying in her large bed, surrounded by doctors, and their parents fretting for their only daughters' well-being.
At those times, Sherlock was watching behind the ridiculously large double doors of his sisters room, not able to bear to turn into a blind to his little sister's condition.
Those erratic breathing that he keeps hearing, the painful cries, that sound of her small voice calling to their mom for comfort.
To the point of where those so called professional doctors, decided to give her sleeping pills to prevent her from feeling more pain after calming her down.
And at some point. He heard something that made his heart drop to his stomach, those words that the doctors said to his parents.
"There is nothing we could do."
"It is better to let her rest, prolonging this treatment will only cause her more pain."
The other words are blurred out. Sherlock, in shock and in disbelief. Hadn't realized how his own breathing had caught up in his throat. Not realizing how he's now hyperventilating. Not being able to distinguish between real and fake. Who's hand on his shoulder belongs to? Who's voice is it?
"Sher– k—"
"—erlock–!"
"Sherly—!"
Mycroft, Sherlock and Eurydice's older brother. Have just decided to come out of their little sister's room. He was allowed inside as he is old enough, and he was also there to calm his mother down from the extreme worry she has for her only daughter.
After hearing the news of how the treatment for their little isn't going well, their parents ushered him to go out first, needing to talk to the doctors about that matter, something he's not needed yet to hear. He understands, their parents will tell him eventually.
And yet, right before the double doors, it was creaked open, even just a slightest bit. That's when he noticed, that behind that double door, was his younger brother, who is in a state of rapid, shallow breathing.
Mycroft called out to his brother sternly. Calling him a second time when Sherlock hadn't heard him. Now placing his hand on Sherlock's shoulder. Then calling him out more urgently for the third time. Not showing any signs of hearing his calls, and the continuous rapid breathing. Mycroft was about to go back inside and call for their parents.
Yet he was pulled back, almost tumbling.
"... Is it true."
"What–"
"Don't what me! Eury... Is it true that her illness is incurable?"
Sherlock's breathing has finally become stable now. Though he was feeling frustrated. Those doctors, are they really just going to give up the treatment now?
"Sherlock. Both mother and father are already consulting the doctors about this matter. I'm certain that they wouldn't let this happen Eury."
That's what Mycroft told him. However, will it ever change a thing when those doctors alread sounds certain of what the outcome supposed to be?

It's raining heavily on London as of this very moment. Dark clouds are looming over the country, to the point it seemed like it's already late at night. One could even hear the strong wind over the pitter patters of the rain on concrete.
This gloomy atmosphere extended to the Holmes' family. Yet one member of this family was not present.
Right outside where the heavy rain falls, the coldness of the strong wind could be felt, and dark clouds looking over their heads, Ms. Moriarty and Mrs. Moriarty, along with their two son's, stands before a grave.
Before them, is the grave of the Holmes' family only little girl. Her name engraved on the stone. The only daughter and little sister of the Holmes' brothers.
A family of five, now turned to four.

After some time, both parents already retreat back to the family carriage. While their two son's still stayed behind. They let them, knowing how painful it was to lose someone, they just didn't lose a daughter, their son's also lost a sister.
Sherlock, who severely effected by this , has his eyes red from crying, mo matter how he tried to silenced his cries, the little hiccups still could be heard. Especially by his older brother who hadn't left his side from the beginning. Sherlock, he was acknowledged by his teachers that he's a born genius, a prodigy as they said. A natural talented individual.
However, if they said to him was true, then why couldn't he save his own sister from her demise? He knew that those doctors are useless, so he tried learning about his sister's condition, learning ways of what better medicines is better for his sister.
He tried, he really did. Yet, he could only do so much as just trying to relieve her pain by distracting her from it. He's still a child, so their parents are preventing from doing such a thing, they always said:
"Don't worry Sherlock, the doctors are already doing the best they can."
"Sherly, little Eury will be fine... Please don't do something so dangerous like playing with chemicals, Do you understand?"
In truth, he's not playing with chemicals, he was making a new medicine that could help his sister from her pain, even if just relieving her from it just for a few moments.
He hates how young he is, he couldn't do anything, he couldn't do anything to save her. Why can't they understand that those doctors are little to no use at all?
He wished he could've grown up a lot faster to save his little sister.
•°•
°•°
Mycroft is also effected by the lost of his sister, however, if he let himself shed even just a few years, then he wouldn't be stable enough to calm him little brother. The only little sibling he has left.
To others, the lost of his sister might not have a much impact on him than Sherlock, however, they are completely wrong. Instead of shedding tears, he blamed himself for being powerles to so something. He's aware that he's only a child, not able to anything just yet, let alone prevent an illness from getting worse, however, he could've had at least made her pain less hurtful for her.
Memories he made with his little sister are only so little. However, a memory that struck with him the most was when he made a promise with her, that time when their family went to the seaside for a holiday, at that time, Eury was still not allowed to go near the shore to play with Sherlock:
"Mikey! I want to play with Sherly on the shore too!"
"Mother and father already told you that you are not yet allowed Eury, your still too young."
"When can I go then? Can I grow up right now so I can swim?"
"... Next year, Eury. I promise that you will be able to play near the shore by then."
Perplexed by his sister's innocent wish, he could only wholeheartedly laugh as response, before making a promise to her.
Mycroft remembered her silly alias to him. Mikey, he could always hear her calling him that whenever she gets the chance, it even became a known alias to him within the household because of her. But that promise, that was before she was diagnosed with her illness, she was only four by then, almost five, and the illness lasts for a year, before taking her life. The gnawing feeling from the promise unfulfilled haunts him, he still remembered her toothy grin from that time. Yet now, he'll only remember her discontent face and uncomfortableness from the pain.
He understands that he wouldn't be able to do anything now, he still has responsibilities to fulfill. Being the heir of Holmes' family... And his new purpose, protecting his now only sibling, and by doing that, he needs to be a high-ranking government official to succeed. He doesn't want to lose another little sibling ever again.
•°•

In the future, or in the current timeline, when they're older. The Moriarty brothers got a hold of this story. It was news to them after all, the reason of why Sherlock became the person he is today.
To distract himself from the failure he had become, when he was not able to save his sister, he chose to chase after mysteries instead. Complicated cases means his mind is filled with possibilities and theories, even though he was to distinguish the case without a doubt, it's still something for him.
Also before he was experimenting with chemicals, he was trying to make a new medicine for his sister. Before his obsession with solving complicated cases, he was a puppet master just to make his sister laugh.
It was such a heart wrenching story about three siblings, now down to only two.
Florist!Reader considers Varka as an older brother thoughts
Random Thoughts about a Florist!Reader who consider Varka like an older brother.
Idk much about the Nodkrai lore, or about Varka at all. Just some itsy tiny bits of knowledge I got from a friend who keeps rambling about him.
Cringe writing and just random, mindless thoughts. A bunch of "What if".
Florist!Reader saw Varka as like an older brother, like the two of them are close, they really admire him.
Florist!Reader is new in Monstadt, looking for a new change, it's hard for Florist!Reader to settle in since they're not that social, but Varka helped them to feel like they already belonged in Monstadt.
Day after day, Varka never failed to visit Florist!Reader shop in the morning to greet them, he's visits at day time are mostly short though, since he's a busy a man.
Night after night, before closing time, Varka never failed to help them clean up, chatting for a while to talk about each others day.
Over time, Florist!Reader started seeing Varka like an older brother. He always looks after them even by how busy he is, just to know how Florist!Reader is doing. If they are doing well, if something is bothering them, or if they need any help. Sometimes he also bring back new flower seeds for Florist!Reader when he came across one.
Varka also sees Florist!Reader as someone he needs to protect, like a family, or maybe even as a little sibling. They are younger than him after all, but Florist!Reader is against that, telling him that they're not that young, he's just too old. Varka responded with boisterous laughter.
But then, Florist!Reader realize how there's always danger surrounding Varka, it is when they keep seeing him return with new bruises, wounds doesn't get to heal, always ending up being reopened, or a new is made over it. Florist!Reader understands it, he's not made into a Grandmaster for nothing.
Florist!Reader understands, they just keep scolding Varka to be extra careful next time. But then, Varka decided to go on an expedition, an expedition in Nodkrai.
Florist!Reader knew that something is wrong, but he wouldn't tell them, so before Varka left for Nodkrai, preparing for the expedition, Florist!Reader started disliking him for carrying a burden on his own without letting Florist!Reader know, feeling like their worries for him wasn't that important for him.
So whenever he comes to Florist!Reader shop, they ended up making him go away, always having their face in disbelief whenever they see him, always upset when he talks all casually, as if he's not leaving in the first place. Florist!Reader started distancing themselves from Varka, to make him feel what they feel.
Which is the feeling of disconnection.
And imagine, in Nodkrai, Varka was supposed to sacrifice himself (like Capitano). To save Monstadt from the future calamity, and to also save Nodkrai. But Florist!Reader, beats him to it, ending up sacrificing themselves so Varka wouldn't have to.
The reason? A lot of people are waiting for him, while none for them.
Florist!Reader holds Varka close to their heart, because he's the only one who Florist!Reader consider as a family. Florist!Reader only just started to act like they hate Varka to protect themselves from the feeling of loosing someone close to them again.
That's why Florist!Reader wouldn't let Varka sacrifice himself when they caught wind of what is happening in Nodkrai, and what Varka was planning. Because if he succeed in sacrificing himself as a way to save Monstadt and everyone, it just means that Florist!Reader would lose someone important again. Florist!Reader rathers be the one who'll leave, than be the one who is being left behind.
Florist!Reader isn't a florist to begin with. Like they worked for some organization, or maybe they're like a past subordinate in Snezhnaya, they're a part of the Harbingers, before escaping, or just betraying them and went into hiding.
Florist!Reader left their past life behind after loosing someone important to them. Like an older brother. Who has a sever illness, and in need of a lot of mora for their older brother's treatments, which why they ended up working for the Harbingers, easy mora.
But even with the money, the treatment is doing enough to actually heal Florist!Reader older brother. Their older brother knew who they are working for, just for his sake. So in his deathbed, he told them they don't have to continue working for them, they're free to do whatever they want, since he knows that working for them is something Florist!Reader doesn't like.
That's the reason why Florist!Reader went to Monstadt, it's a place of freedom. A place where people are accepted. A perfect place for starting a new beginning. And a place where they can start healing from the pain of losing an only family.
Since Florist!Reader wanted to start anew again, to heal themselves. They went to Monstadt. They did heal, with the help of Varka. Who looked after them when they're new, who continues to look after them even after years of being a resident in Monstadt, to the point of where Florist!Reader started considering Varka as someone who is a family to them, an older brother.
But Varka keeps carrying burdens and scars, and he doesn't even bother to care to tell Florist!Reader. They thought the two of them are close enough to lean to each other, to share each other's burdens, like family.
But Florist!Reader remembered. They also did the same. They hid that they are working in a dangerous organization. Without telling their only family.
They then ponder, is this what their older brother felt? Helplessness? Not being able to change their only family's decision to do something so dangerous.
Florist!Reader started feeling hatred, to cover up the feeling that they're starting to care for someone again. Someone who'll leave them behind, once again.
But they are only human, their hate doesn't last long.
That's the reason why they've come into a conclusion. With much thought, they either let Varka that they consider as a family leave them behind, or be the one who will leave the world behind, maybe to reunite with their only real family.
The choice is obvious. Florist!Reader don't have anyone they consider close to them, other than Varka and their older brother. So they decided to bear Varka's responsibility.
Which is where, they ended up meeting their own demise.

Maybe for a part 2 of the doughbaby!reader, Shadow milk sneaks into their room at night to hangout with them, only to leave before pure vanilla walks in.
☆ Shadows On The Walls — Shadow Milk Cookie & Child!Reader Fic ☆
A/N: Okay technically this is actually part 3- (previous and start fics for context)
──────.𖥔 ݁ ˖˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ──────
It was the night after your slightly discouraging art display, and you'd fallen asleep at your mini desk. The air was cool, with a slight wind blowing outside. You felt something shift, as if a weight had entered the air. Your eyes slowly blinked open, and you rubbed them with a yawn while hearing papers rustle. When your vision came in, a large shadow was standing beside your desk. Two shades of blue eyes looked down at you, and you gasped happily while sitting up "Shadow Cookie!"
"Thaaat's right!" The shadow replies, leaning forwards so he could come into view. Shadow Milk had been visiting for months now, and he noted as he saw the scattered pictures across your desk that it seemed his efforts were sucessful. He grinned widely, looking over your art in his hands "Did you make this, little puppet? I see a certain rougish devil made his appearance!". You giggled, reaching up as best you could to point to it "Yeah, yeah! But papa didn't seem to like it too much...". Your frown returned, and Shadow Milk gave a huge gasp "He didn't?! Well, the nerve! He must be blinder than I thought!". Your smile returned as you looked up at your 'imaginary' friend "Papa's just worried sometimes. But s'good that you like it!"
"Like it?! Why, little puppet, I love it! I'd hang this up in my spire" Shadow Milk declared, holding the drawing close to his chest. You got down from your chair, running over to him and grabbing his legs for a tight hug. Shadow Milk chuckled, placing a hand atop your head. "That papa of yours isn't very kind, is he?" Shadow Milk commented "How strange for a Cookie of truth to lie to his own kin!". "Lie?" You asked, pulling back with a confused expression "What do you mean?". "Oh, don't worry your poor little dough over it" Shadow Milk cooed, lifting you under your arms. He floated off of the ground, carrying you up before holding you tight to his chest.
"But- papa isn't supposed to lie" you frowned. "I know, but papa's don't always do as they're supposed to" Shadow Milk responded, a fake look of sympathy on his face. He pulled you in, nuzzling his cheek to yours "I'd never lie to you, you poor thing. We're good friends, right?". As he asked that last part, his grip on you tightened a little. You gave a nod "Yeah! Bestest friends!". Shadow Milk grinned widely, sharp teeth showing as he held you up above his head while he spun mid-air "That's right! Best as can be! And best friends always tell the truth"
You giggled at the motion, pulling yourself into his arms for a tight hug. It was refreshing to have a friend you could play with at all times, a silly jester who loves making you smile. You pulled back, chuckling with him before a knock came from your door. "Little sunflower? Are you awake" Pure Vanilla's voice called. Shadow Milk quickly placed you back down "That's my cue to exit the stage". You gave a little whine, tugging on the jester's sleeve "Do you have to?". "You know the rules" Shadow Milk replied. He watched as your head titled down, a sad pout on your face. He couldn't help but grin.
"Well, I was going to wait for a special occasion, but I suppose I can give you this now" Shadow Milk said, pulling something out. He handed you a small doll fashioned to look just like him, with big button eyes and a stitched smile. You squealed, holding it close to your chest "Thank you, Shadow Cookie! You're the best!"
"Sunflower? Who are you talking to?" Pure Vanilla called. Shadow Milk scowled, replacing it with a faux look of kindness as he leaned down to speak with you "I'll be back soon, don't worry" he said, before vanishing into the shadows. You felt your smile fall as you nuzzled into the doll he'd given you. You loved your papa, but it was disappointing how your friend always had to leave when he came by. And he said such odd things... what lies could he be talking about?
The door opened, Pure Vanilla hurriedly walking in. He waved his staff about a bit, hair a mess and breathing heavily. You walked up behind him, tugging on his robes. "Papa?" You asked, and the healer turned to you. He sighed with relief, kneeling down and wrapping an arm around you "What are you doing up so late? I thought someone had found you...". "I was jus' drawing, an' I fell asleep" you explained. Pure Vanilla pulled back, kissing your forehead "Of course, how silly of me. My little artist must have been hard at work". He lifted you up, balancing you in his arms "Come now, it's time for bed"
You let out a yawn, nuzzling into his chest. Soon enough, you were tucked into bed, Pure Vanilla making sure you were snugly covered in blankets. He'd noticed a flicker of something blue being closely squeezed in your arms. He tried to reach a hand out, but you'd turned away from him before he could see. "G'night, papa" you said. Pure Vanilla pulled back, that worried expression back on his face. "...Good night, my bluebird" he said, a little quietly.
He closed the door to your room upon exiting, that troubled expression now fully showing on his face. He could feel that presence. He kept having to look over his shoulders around the shadowy corners of his castle, fear gripping him tightly. Every inch of the hollow nooks felt like they were watching him. Waiting. Laughing.
"Elder Faerie will be here tomorrow... please, please, by all that is good, don't let my fears come true" Pure Vanilla thought to himself "You can have my kingdom, my title, my souljam.. just please.. don't take my little bluebird away from me". He began walking to his room, worriedly holding the handle of his staff. Daunting eyes watched him as he walked. "Oh, Silly Vanilly..." a voice whispered eerily in the darkness "Fighting so hard to protect his little family... pathetic". Shadow Milk morphed into the darkness, beginning his usual escape route back to the outside. Black Sapphire and Candy Apple stood in the royal garden, waiting for him.
"Count this night a success, my delightful little grubs" Shadow Milk said as he materialized. Candy Apple squealed "I knew it, I knew it! You're so strong, my lord!". Black Sapphire gave a little bow "All is in motion, just as requested". Shadow Milk grinned widely, a high giggle leaving him "Perfect, perfect! I can't wait to see their faces when it happens!". "Until then," Black Sapphire began, hopping up on his staff to float off of the ground "We have time left to plan". "Pssh, as if I need a plan" Shadow Milk said, beginning to walk away from the castle "Have faith, my minions. This isn't even the half of what's to come"
ok so can i PLEASE request a sequel to the "baby cookie reader says shadow cookie" thing where pure vanilla finds it sweet that y/n is developing an imaginary friend... until y/n hands him a drawing of this "imaginary" friend and sees shadow milk cookie...

"—And you're sure it's normal?" Pure Vanilla asks, tensely holding his cup while Dark Cacao sat across from him. "Yes, Pure Vanilla" Dark Cacao sighed "Children have large imaginations. It's normal for them to see things in the mundane. Dark Choco was once convinced a suit of armor that had never once moved was alive, it's a common occurrence". Pure Vanilla nodded, looking into his glass. His staff watched carefully as he gingerly sipped the liquid to try and calm his nerves. "It's more than that, Dark Cacao. This wasn't some... spirit. It was him. They act like they can see and talk to him"
Dark Cacao looked up, his expression gone from calm to serious "You don't mean-?". "I do" Pure Vanilla confirmed solemnly "They swore they could see him. I- I know he isn't back, but- what if...". Pure Vanilla let out a shuddering sigh, and Dark Cacao tapped his glass as he thought. "I'll contact Elder Faerie. In the meantime, try to keep your mind clear. Your Kingdom needs you". "Yes.. yes, you're right.." Pure Vanilla said softly. "If he does come back, I'll fight with you" Dark Cacao said, leaning forward a bit "Don't face this alone, not when you have those who want to help you"
Pure Vanilla nodded, putting on his usual placating gentle smile "Of course, thank you". Just then, you'd waddled into the room, padding over with a slightly crumbled paper pressed against your side. "Papa! Papa!! C'see!" You called, running up to his side. He glanced to you with a grin "Oh, of course!". He leaned down, tilting his staff as well as he looked over the paper. You held it out proudly, grinning as you looked to him with shiney and hopeful eyes.
Pure Vanilla tried to school his expression, but his smile fell without his control. That same cold chill was back, striking him right in the soul. It was a messily scribbled drawing of you and him, something he'd always treasured. But this time, to your other side, you'd drawn a dark figure. One with mismatched blue eyes, and a wide smile. "Who- who is that..?" Pure Vanilla asked in a shaky voice. "Shadow Cookie!" You proudly declared "My friend!". Dark Cacao leaned over, very gently taking the picture from your hands so he could inspect it.
You began to feel worried as the two shared worried looks. This wasn't anything like the praise and cheers you usually got for your art, and you couldn't understand what was wrong. Dark Cacao suddenly stood "I'll- contact the Faeries. Immediately". "My drawing.." You sadly said, seeing it crumpled in the stoic king's fist. Dark Cacao loosened his hold, beginning to smooth it out as best he could "Ah- forgive me, little one. Here," he said, handing it back to you.
You still had a slight pout, helping to smooth it out as well. Dark Cacao gave hurried goodbyes before he went to leave. Pure Vanilla stood, seeing him out as he placed a hand on your back. "Is... is it bad, papa?" You asked. Pure Vanilla looked down, quickly putting on a smile "Not at all, my darling blue bird. It's wonderful. We were talking about fussy old King business, don't you worry". You felt a little better as he kissed your forehead, moving to walk back to your room "Okay..."
Once inside, you put your drawing down. It still looked pretty good to you, you couldn't piece together why it got the reaction it did. Maybe your new friend would like it! You sat down, grabbing the black and blue crayons as you began working on yet another drawing of them. While you hummed, Pure Vanilla listened on the other side of the door, sighing gently. Worry was practically choking him, but he tried to steady his breathing. This- this was okay. He could- if he just-... he needed that visit as soon as possible.
