So, I know there are plenty of iconic nicknames for Dick — particularly “the Boy Wonder” — during his time as Robin. All of those are great. Very cute. Very wholesome.

However, I think we need to bring back “devil-child with the laughing eyes”.

Is it a mouthful? Yes. Does it convey every single aspect of Dick’s character at that age? Immaculately so. He’s mischievous. He’s dangerous. But he’s silly and gleeful while doing it, and always laughing. Just… hopefully not at you.

(And, if he isn’t silly or gleeful, if he isn’t laughing… run.)

A guide to Hawk Ladies from twt account @atmxpalmers

There is lots of confusion with Hawk lore for some and this is meant to explain Hawk Ladies. Shayera hates being called Hawkgirl thats why she is Hawkwoman but JLU made a mistake and had her as Hawkgirl despite that. She was voiced by Maria Canals Barrera so they probably treated her as red head whitewashed Kendra a little bit. Shayera is from Thanagar while Kendra is from Earth. Isabela Merced is most likely playing Kendra she even posted her photo. Its not a racebend like people want to claim. She is playing a different character.

Because Braalians can sense magnetism and can find their polar north with ease I imagine space flight for them is.... very odd. Because magnetism in space undergoes variation and I believe they would be able to sense that variation when leaving planetary bodies or passing nearby various bodies as well (magnetospheres extend outwards by a pretty damn long distance).

Braalian space sickness is probably a very common condition that links directly to their magnetic abilities and senses. This also likely extends to just existing on other planets as well that will have a different magnetosphere entirely from Braal.

They need a period of adjustment and for some maybe they never do all the way. It's sensory hell. This is not Braal, this is not home, it always feels off.

I had a yummy treat so its time for my favorite game: taking comic book characters out to eat:

You can take any comics book character to your fav ice cream, BUT they have never been there before. Who are you taking and what are you going to reccomend them? (Bonus: Do you think they would get it?)

Oh damn, I am going to be dangerously close to doxxing myself with this one but here we go.

I live somewhat nearby a very rural ice cream shop that is famous for a special ice cream made with a huge amount of capsaicin extract. You have to sign a waiver to get a scoop of the ice cream.

I am taking Oliver Queen to get the scary ice cream and asking him how it compares with his chili. He better order it, because I just need to witness this scene!

(I have touched my tongue to this ice cream and it blistered my tongue! 0/10 do not recommend this experience. Which is why Ollie must endure it.)

(Also, I will be getting oatmeal cookie or huckleberry ice cream from the same shop and having a lovely time, not jacking up my heart rate and blood pressure, and not crying in pain!)

Oh my god okay SO there's not a lot of, like, classic ice cream shops out here. BUT there IS a local chain restaurant that is the literal reason you can't find many Dairy Queens in most of Oklahoma, called Braum's. Their peppermint chocolate chip flavor is only ever there at the holidays and I love it, but the brownie batter genuinely tastes like licking the spoon when you make brownies, and their french vanilla is actual french vanilla guys it's not the fake flavorless mockery of vanilla and oh my god the chocolate chunk chocolate cheesecake --

My recommendation depends on who I'm bringing... Shit. Can I bring Chris Kent and Bryce Moran? Can I give them a chance to just be kids again? Fuck yeah I'm doing that. They're getting double-scoop cones. Triple-scoop, if I can talk the kid behind the counter into it.

For Chris, I'd recommend caramel cookie dough, fudge ripple, and the french vanilla. Classic but rich flavors, and ones that are maybe a little understated. He seems like a subtle kind of kid, and I dunno if the wilder flavors would appeal to him.

For Bryce -- hmm. I'd say chocolate marshmallow, chocolate chip cookie dough, and peanut butter cup. Flavors that just scream "kid." He's had so much less of a chance to be a child than even Chris has, so. I want to help him realize it's not a bad thing to be eleven when you're eleven.

Of course, I haven't been in a few months, so I dunno what seasonal summer flavors they have right now. I might change my mind once we get there.

I dunno if they'd get them or not. It's 100% up to them what they pick, these are just my suggestions. And I'd make sure they know that. They're more than old enough to pick out their own food at a restaurant, even if they are magically children again for now. Chris might, but Bryce might be drawn to something like the bordeaux cherry amaretto or cappuccino chunky chocolate, because they seem more grown-up.

I dunno! But they get to be kids and I am absolutely teaching them to shoot straw wrappers at one another.

I plan to search through my own comics too, but I wanted to ask and minimize the chances of me getting distracted and not doing my homework

I know Haly the Dog is staying and I will admit she's cute, but. One, Haly should have been something he named his daughter. And two, Dick would not be a dog person. He would have something complicated to care for like fish or reptiles. And he would build the most insane elaborate habitat for them.

I know Lois is usually drawn with brown eyes these days, but I'll always headcanon her as having the purple eyes she had in StAS.

It's purely because the only other DC character I can think of with purple eyes is Garth. And the idea that Lois had some ancestor who was deemed unfit to live in Atlantis and jettisoned as a baby, then picked up by random surface humans? I like the symmetry there.

It's a bit counter to what Lois brings to Superman stories as a Normal Human Person Who Does All That, I'll admit, but I think the two concepts can coexist.
