Head full, many thoughts
Proud of this uncle.
âIâve got you. Iâm not letting go. Donât you get it? I love you. I always have.â
me: hey how long is this thing going to last
someone: haha you just want to know when youâre off the hook
me: hah
me: (actually i just need to allocate the right expectations and backlog of energy and make sure the rest of my day falls in good accordance with it so that i donât feel time-crunched and propel myself into a hysteria because if i donât know how long this thing lasts or when it ends i canât possibly know when literally anything else starts and my entire life becomes an unraveled realm of anarchy with no rhyme or reason and how is that not terrifying to you)
me: hey how long will this take
someone: oh like twenty minutes
me: ok
*an hour later*
me: *clinging to every learned social skill i can think of with the desperate hope my distress and exhaustion doesnât show*
someone: hey weâre almost done donât be so crabby
me: *smiling* *internally screaming at this SENSELESS CHAOS*
someone: hey do you want to do [involving time-consuming thing]
me: hey that sounds fun! when were you thinking?
someone: oh weâre doing it right now
me: oh. like. now-now? like right now. like you want me to stop what iâm doing and get up and do this thing with you, suddenly, with thirty seconds of warning. now. like this second. immediately. now?
this feeling is so real
I know this pain
This post is staring into my soul. I feel seen.
they got that they/them ĂŸussy
reblog this you cowards
In the subversive masterpiece Avengers: Endgame (2019), directors Anthony and Joe Russo made the bold artistic choice to film scenes with a camera, which is why you can see things on the screen.
this is how marvel fans talk about the movies
i never really thought about it as a kid but as an adult itâs so so funny that the second most politically powerful person on the planet is 14 years old and yet somehow her every order doesnât lead to complete humiliating failure
fire nation captain: if we try and dock in these conditions thereâs a very high chance our boat will be torn to smithereens and weâll die of either drowning, blunt force trauma by being smashed against rocks, or being picked apart by barracuda-squids
azula:
not to sound like a protestant but the one bad joke all generations have in common is the normalization of alcohol dependencyÂ
like iâm NOT about to start romanticize temperance iâm not against casual drinking or even getting absolutely blasted every once and a whileâŠ..but from forty somethings who meme about having to drink a whole bottle of wine to deal with their spouses to people my age who say âi canât socialize without being at least a little buzzedâ like thatâs normalâŠitâs definitelyâŠ.something to think aboutÂ
What wine specialist wrote that article about how often she gets asked âWhatâs the best wine to drink when Iâm sad?â
Her answer: âNone, you dullard! Wine is a joyful thing. Donât drink because youâre sad.â
see now this i like!!
the types of media i like can be placed in one of two categories:
type 1: oh my god this thing is amazing, i love it, i could go on hours long rants about how well executed it was. it has its faults but overall it's excellent.
type 2: i didn't say it was good, i said i liked it
i learned that in August 2014 Womenâs Voices for the Earth commissioned testing of four types of Always menstrual pads, manufactured by Procter & Gamble. The certified laboratory STAT Analysis Corporation analyzed the products for volatile organic compound.
âThe results of the testing indicate that both scented and unscented Always pads emit toxic chemicals, including chemicals identified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Toxicology Program, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, and the State of California Environmental Protection Agency as carcinogens, and reproductive and developmental toxins. None of these chemicals are disclosed on the product by the manufacturer.â (x)
the world do be hating women
wow i wonder if that 300 year gap could be explained by any outside factorsâŠâŠ.whoa! for some reason it lines up with the timeline of britainâs invasion and subsequent colonization of ireland! wild, huh? i wonder if the two are connected in some way? i guess the world will never knowâŠ.
âwhy do the Irish hate the English so much? It couldnât have been *that* bad!!â
This was in place till 1973.
Seeing non irish people reblogging this makes me happy
I knew about the special powers act, But I didnât realize it was in place until 1973. I had always just figured it was overturned like, before electricity, not like after the birth of my father. In that context the troubles become a bit easier to understand
Today I learned
