So as some might’ve guessed I’ve been obsessed with Project Sekai lately. And whenever that happens I think everyone does a swap au thing even if it’s only in their head. However, as an author and artist I am obliged to actually draw this. So. Starting off with
Mafuyu! (Tumblr killed the quality)
She is one of the members of a band called Skyline Melody, which is a bit of a cross between Leo/Need and Nightcord at 25:00. This band does lean more toward it’s Leo/Need origin, however.
For Mafuyu’s joining of this band, she was originally a supervisor of three students that used the classrooms at Miyamasuzuka to practice after school, since one of their members was from Kamiyama High. She always declined joining, usually working on something or other while the others practiced. However, she began to deteriorate similar to canon, but this time she didn’t have a Sekai to go to (the Skyline Sekai was made from the emotions of the first 3). The other Skyline Melody members were really concerned for her, and to make a long story short Mafuyu eventually ended up going to their Sekai and managing to talk some stuff out.
After this Mafuyu joined their band, playing the synth. Her personality is again, similar to canon, but she is a bit more driven here.
Mafuyu’s main issue in this AU is that she’s a bit of a workaholic, and the stress of constantly doing something or other is always threatening to tear her apart. Her main arc throughout this AU has plenty to do with her mother, obviously, but also trying to create a good balance between work and rest.
The Skyline Melody outfits have simple, school-like outfits underneath long, flowy pajama-like robes and such. It’s meant to not only pay homage to where they practice, but is meant to reflect the vibes of the music they play: gentle, warm, something that might lull you to sleep with a smile on your face.
and finally, a hint for the next member: this is another 3rd year, similar to Mafuyu! She’s also very driven…
