This is how it looks like, when I 'm late with a task. It 's friday evening and it looks kinda gloomy in here. At the moment I 'm coding something special. Something that does not exist in germany yes and has never been coded in this way. It 's a project based in BiPRO standards related to the insurance industry. I 'm a little bit proud, because handling soap clients and soap servers with php isn 't easy at all. Especially dealing with the BiPRO standards, that should work independent of what programming language you use. Well, I managed it and even more. Even converting xml soap requests and responses into json ready for a rest request works in a blink of an eye. I 'm still working on a PHP implementation of a BiPRO soap webservice from a german insurance company. At the end there will be a complete calculator for household insurance including a complete application form and confirmation. This one 's pretty complex and robs me of the last nerve. Anyway ... Morning routine. As long as you can stand it outside before it 's getting too hot, I 'll have my morning coffee on our balcony and reading some stack overflow posts about soap requests and php. There are so many questions about that concern. So many mistakes about handling soap requests right. Actually I think about writing a series of blog articles how to manage soap requests with php. Client as well as server side. Once you understand how to use the soap client and soap server possibilities right, solving soap requests is a piece of cake. You don 't have to write any line of xml as a string. It 's all done by the soap client and soap server. What do you think about a series of blog articles / a tutorial about creating a soap webservice with php? It 's pretty late and I 'm dealing with some pretty complex doctrine 2 query in zend framework 3. The query fires and no sql errors are shown but it 's not the expected result. Instead of all datasets having none of the given tags it shows all datasets. Do you see the reason why it 's not showing the expected result? I 'll give you a hint: It 's in the sub select. Dontrine 's query builder is pretty smart and fast as hell. Today I did some additional features for a new project for ranieri. One of the features is a autocomplete function based on twitters typeahead jQuery plugin. An asynchronous request searches for datasets in the database and suggests it to the user with additional informations about the found datasets. For this purpose I used Zend Framework 3 and Doctrine. Very fast and very customizable. It was a pleasure realizing this feature. Works like a charme.
