"all non binary people amab are transfem because they're transfeminized" What's that??? that word "transfeminized". who was that coined by again??? oh that's right. the lady who hates non binary people so much she makes her whole career about it. Yeah I don't think you are correct about this one
also its so fucking absurd to use the term "transfeminized" while also insisting that only people amab can be transfeminized even though so many people's lived experience directly contradicts that. its like how people use the exclusion of nonbinary people amab from "woman and nonbinary" events/spaces as proof of afab privilege, while conveniently ignoring that the SAME SHIT happens to nonbinary people afab who are perceived as "too male" because they've gone on t and present more masculine. because if we talked about that, we'd have to reckon with the fact that this attitude is not simply "they are transmisogynistic and hate trans women because they are women," that it has a great deal to with queer/feminist spaces and their perception of masculinity/maleness and how queer people who are seen as "too male" in whatever way are treated. and god forbid anyone have to acknowledge that some nonbinary people have more in common with other nonbinary people of potentially different agabs than they do binary trans people of the same agab, or cis people of the same agab.
i do not think the people making these statements really care about nonbinary people amab other than using them as a prop for the trans gender wars, because so much stuff nonbinary people go through happens regardless of agab. like the sentence you described is literally an example!!! people think "nonbinary as woman lite" is something that uniquely impacts nonbinary people afab but it happens a ton to nonbinary people who are seen as "trans woman lite" & very similarly, the exorsexism they experience is ignored or heavily downplayed in favor of acting like they have the exact same experiences as (trans) women.
i really do think terms like transfeminized can be useful wrt emphasizing the social construction of gender and how people are impacted by how they are perceived, not just what gender they Objectively Are. but just like with TME/TMA, people claim these terms are meant to be "more inclusive" of nonbinary people in discussions of transmisogyny, and then are used in blatantly exorsexist ways by blatantly exorsexist people who NEVER use the terms to discuss exorsexism without reducing it down to (trans)misogyny, and even acting like the basic nonbinary feminist goal of challenging the binary way of thinking about gender is inherently misguided if not itself transmisogynistic. so what's even the point!!!!
its almost like one of the fundamental problems with radical feminism is the exorsexism and oppositional sexism & just doing Radical Feminism For Trans Women does not actually fix the fucking problem.
I have recently had someone claim to me that terms like transfem/masc and tma/tme are supposed to be a kinder alternative to agab language and I really do have to ask:
Kinder for whom?
Because me having been amab is a part of my past that is as neutral a statement as me having believed myself to be cis for a large part of my life, or me being trans at all now. Calling me transfem over it, imposing an event from my past onto the present through that identity, that's just misgendering. Even if I was transfem the same way that I am transmasc in reality, calling me that based on my agab would still be misgendering the same way calling me a cis man would be misgendering.
But removing the agab language from the theory sure does obscure how obsessed some people here are with assigning trans people life experiences based on agab. And some stuff people who call themselves transfeminists say starts to sound really creepy when you reintroduce that agab language into it to see what they're actually saying.
