i am well known to be obsessed with knives out but MAN this franchise and wake up dead man

as a Christian and a person who has been deeply wounded by the institutionalized church i have never seen a piece of media capture both the boundless lovingkindness and grace and the violent, hateful bigotry within the faith community

on top of that we got to see an atheistic/agnostic man (who has an implied past of hatred experienced at the hands of the church) maintain a similar level of grace and lovingkindness to the point of forgoing his goal established the first time we see him of his checkmate moment; he is never the enemy of the Christian protagonist

each of the movies are beautiful in their own way and this one was beautiful in a make me sob and feel seen way

even in all of the Christian media i have consumed (willfully or not), i have not seen a more beautiful and horrific and authentic representation of my faith and its main tenants than this murder mystery and the reconciliation that it exhibits

anyway i am obsessed as always

listen I am kinda new to dnd, so I don’t exactly know if this is possible, but I sincerely hope that tyranny’s warlock patron switches to either wicander himself or the celestial in the basement. that her pact weapon switches from her demon claws to the ceremonial Creed sword she has. that some how some way she becomes unbound to the fiendish world and can live freely in the light. be that her becoming a cleric or something I don’t know. also Brennan is chaos and some of the stuff in Araman already feels not canon dnd rules so I think he’d allow it. anyway free tyrrany. let her do has she pleases in the world which is NOT hurt people by the way.
