“Maybe I like looking trans "oh your voice is too deep" Maybe I like having a deep voice. Maybe I'm not your femme fantasy. Maybe I'm my own fantasy. I love looking trans. I fucking hope that when I walk down the street, they say, "look at that transsexual!" And just maybe someone will see me and think, "hey, I can live that way, too."”
Trans guys who use packers: do you consider it to be your penis?
Yes, and I consider it to be part of me.
Yes, but I don't consider it to be part of me.
No, but I consider it to be part of me.

She should be at the club
Baby mouse had earplugs in the sketch and I straight up forgot to ink them pretend they're deep in there
Meanwhile not at the club:
I was so enamored by the party shrew this morning I had to doodle her in my lab notebook at work
shrew girls after just ONE mezcal worm:
Love that this alien arm is clearly just green bubblewrap. 70s prosthetics I love you
Classic SF once again betrayed by a clear, static-free signal and a flat digital screen
This is how I remember classic Who and Star Trek, folks, with signal ghosts and scanning lines (but usually with more static/snow)
Sharing this on my main because it appears from the notes that it's useful for some modern viewers.
You KNOW classic SF used the limited displays of CRT television and the static of transmitted signals the way theaters use stage makeup and lighting to make inexpensive props look great fine— take advantage of the medium! But it's hard to imagine how it looked if you've only seen Blu-ray HD restorations.
I swear to you, despite classic Who using bubble wrap for years as one of its go-to materials that reflected light in interesting ways, we never realized that's what it was.

I see a lot of people joking about the adhd thing of "I have a appointment/phone call at 3pm, guess I won't do anything all day!"
But no one seems to make the connection that it's a time blindness thing. One of the symptoms of ADHD is not having a good and accurate sense of time. And not doing stuff prior to an event with a hard deadline is an obvious coping mechanism for that.
Can I go to the store? It's 10am and the appointment is at 3pm. How long does going to the store take? An hour? Three hours? Five hours? I DON'T KNOW!
I get anxious trying to do things before appointments because I'm aware that I don't know how long those things take, and that if I think I do, I may be very wrong. Too often I've been like "hey I can walk to the corner store and grab a drink, that'll take like 15 minutes!" and then an hour later I get back and whoops my rice has burnt.
Plus there's also the fact that ADHD people know that motivation and focus is a two-edged sword.
Like, let's say you decide to play a video game. You've got time, you can pause/save whenever, so this should be a perfect fit to make good use of your waiting-time. So you start playing and WHOOPS you get really focused for some reason today (because people with ADHD do not get to pick when their brain decides to focus) and the next time you look at the clock it's 2:49 and you haven't showered or dressed and the appointment is 30 minutes away. Fuck. (you could have set an alarm, but now you're asking people with the forgetting-things-and-time-ignoring condition to remember it set alarms)
And with motivation, it can be almost worse. Instead of playing a game, you so something useful or creative. You clean your room or fix your plumbing or write a story or draw a picture. And suddenly it's great. Your brain is firing on all cylinders. You've got all the motivation you can ask for, and you are FLYING. the ideas are brilliant, your hands are nimble, you're getting stuff done you've been putting off for weeks or months. And then the alarm goes off. Time to go to your appointment. Fuck.
You drive there, your brain still full of ideas and plans. But by the time you get back, the motivation is gone. You may still have the ideas but you don't have the drive to write them down. You can't force yourself to do it. Your sink is still in pieces. Your room is half-cleaned, and you have to shove all the sorted clothes into one big bin just so you have somewhere to sleep. You've left things half finished again, in a cycle that has been repeating your whole fucking life. It seems sometimes that nothing ever gets finished.
So next time you don't even start. There's not time. You've been burnt too many times. Why add another half-completed project to your pile of shame?
My point is that people seem to be going "lol I can't do anything all day if I have an appointment at 3pm" like this is a quirky "oh I'm so scatterbrained!" weirdness they alone have, and not a major complication of a disabling mental illness.
(and that's not even getting into the secondary effects. If you know that having an appointment ruins your whole damn day, you're going to avoid them. Even when it's things like "going to that party" or "meeting your friends for a drink/game" or "going to a movie with that cute girl from your math class". Things you should enjoy. Things that'd help you be social. Things that make you feel human.)
It's been three years since I made this so I would just like to reveal that the "cute girl from math class" was actually the "cute boy from my statistics class" , but I changed it to better appeal to lesbians and people who didn't take university math classes.
I thought it would be an hour of listening to screaming and looking at pictures of draculas, but it was so much for frightening than fathomed
“sex/romance/empathy makes us human,” they say. awful. pathetic. what makes us human is the urge to set things on fire
you’re actually correct!
Cooking is the one thing that only humans do and can be directly linked to the increase in our brain size
Burning the mammoth flank just a lirtle instead of eating it raw gives grug more calorie to think. Grug thinking about color symbolism in silence of the lambs

It's actually so hard to find a good masculine name that starts with the letter J since all of them have been taken by other men in my family. I think legally I'm going to use the masculine version of my dead name but informally go by "Jeb" as a placeholder until I find something better.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the alt text, different people speech in different fonts.
I should get around to legally changing my name, but I'm not sure if I want to go by the name I've been using for some years now.
Maybe I'll just change it to the masculine version of my dead name. Michaela (not real dead name) -> Michael
I'll have to test it out first
Hello! What's your name?
It's Michael
Nice to meet you, Michael!
Maybe that ISN'T my name. The first two syllables sound like my deadname and it gives me dysphoria.
What's your name, then?
Uhhhhh…unsure? All I know is that it has to start with the letter J because most of the men in my family have names starting with "J".
YOUR NAME IS JEB.
I have no Ob-JEB-ctions (objections).
Once when I was in undergrad, someone described something as “problematic” in class and our professor was like, “That’s cool, but ‘problematic’ doesn’t really mean anything. It means that the thing you’re describing has a problem, and in and of itself that’s not bad. Art, especially, should always have problems, or else it’s not interesting and not art, either. It sounds like you’re trying to say that this is bad, but you don’t want to say ‘bad.’ Is that right?”
So from then on whenever one of us called something problematic, he would make us talk it out until we could name the “bad” thing we were hinting at. In this particular class, 7/10 it was some type of oppression, and the remainder was like, “I’m uncomfortable because this is very new/confusing/pushing boundaries that made me feel safe.”
Once we stopped calling things “problematic” and stopping at that, class got way more interesting and... we all had to say, like, “that’s racist” or “that’s misogynistic” or “ew capitalism gross” out loud, which a lot of us had never done in a classroom before. Or we had to be like, “Uhhh... I’m not sure what’s so bad?” and confront our own beliefs and that was maybe even more useful.
Anyway. Whenever I see the word problematic, I can’t help but think of this professor being like, “Good starting point, now let’s get specific.” I think when we have to commit to saying “that’s ___” it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever we’re claiming. Sometimes there really is some bullshit afoot, and also sometimes it’s art, and it should be full of problems, because that’s what art is.
In Pride month, I think it's important to remind you of this iconic dialogue. You don't have to talk about who you are if you don't want to❤️
I know " woke " might tell you if you can do that but fairies really only eat plants and healthy food so it would not be possible for them to be overweight, fat. or chubby
oh...fairies aren't. they aren't real
My fat fairy ass eating the sprinkles off of donuts and sipping on sprite puddles
fairies r fat as shit off nectar
Obsessed with the idea that you can't get fat off plants.
#i want everyone to know this is a post that breached containment and was originally about the sims 4#and that the fairy in question was a sim who Wasn't Even Fat#the sims 4 was putting out a pack that was including fairies and OP made a fairy that had like.#a very Average Human Body (ie she just wasn't Rail Thin. but was also not Fat. just had a body with some fat existing on it)#and anon still came in swinging with this#so not only is anon making some Definitive Law about a made up entity#but they were also telling someone they were playing with dolls in their video game wrong#which imo makes it all the sillier#(though also more Bleak knowing that anon saw a Very Average Body for a woman and saw that as Fat)
That makes the whole thing so so much funnier
I’m reading a gothic horror novel and the author put a note that was essentially a TW at the beginning that basically said “yes, this book contains depictions of problematic sexist and ableist behavior. That is because I’m writing in a book is set in the 1800s.” YEAH EXACTLY.
One really fun thing about modern gothic horror set in the past is that there are bits of horror that the modern audience sees that a protagonist cannot. A dirty cut put into the mouth prior to germ theory, a transfusion set in an era before blood typing, use of therapies that in the modern world we know harm a patient, etc.
