via the design dome
Approximately 33% of all ocean-dwelling fish live on coral reefs for at least a part of their lives. Not only are they important sites for biodiversity, but they also drive waterside economies and protect waterfront communities from large storms. In fact, the commercial value American reef-dependent fisheries alone is over $100 million.
These coral imitations are made out of mulberry paper, or handmade paper made from fibers of the mulberry tree. Mulberry paper has a few distinctive features which originate from the long fibers of the wood. When torn, it creates a deckle edge, which can be ideal for many projects.
Morten Bo Jensen - VIPP Shelter // Edited by MFL
Vipp Shelter is a portable shelter which is “designed down to the last detail, where the only choice left to the customer is where to put it.” It’s designed to be a getaway for people who live busy lives. You’ve heard the real estate phrase, “Location, location, location.” Well, Vipp Shelter gives you sleekly designed real estate, but leaves the most important part up to you.

I really like the color contrast in these, and I think it’s very important to see this artful representation of African American women. Check out @illustration315 for more!
School lunches worldwide
I think my favorites here are South Korea, Italy, and Greece. The colors and thought that went into this is really wonderful, as is (at least most of) the food.
