As of a few days ago, Marvel Studios got the rights back to Daredevil, meaning they are now free to do whatever they want to do with the characters. 

ALSO AS OF A FEW DAYS AGO, Vincent D’Onofrio himself went on Twitter and asked people to sign the petition to save the show, as the petition expires soon and those signatures will soon be set in stone whether it reaches its limit or not.  I don’t know if Marvel would actually follow through on the act regardless of if it gets enough signatures, but if D’Onofrio is getting involved, there’s almost a guarantee he’s at least going to try and talk to Marvel Studios about this. It’s worth a shot!

I swear, if Marvel doesn’t introduce Matt Murdock into the wider MCU with Spider-Man 3, they’re going to be missing a huge opportunity to expand their universe. The Daredevil contract they had with Netflix is almost expired, so they’ll realistically be able to pull him into SM3 if they wanted to, but it would be perfect. 

Think about it: Peter Parker is absolutely going to need a lawyer with how much legal trouble he’s about to be in, let’s be honest. What better lawyer is there than Matt Murdock in New York? Even if they were to only include Matt in as a side character and not necessarily include the Daredevil side of him, I just think it’d be a missed opportunity for them to NOT bring our wonderful blind attorney in.

However, if this did happen and they cast somebody that isn’t Charlie Cox, I think they’ll be ruining it for themselves. Charlie Cox’s portrayal was --- in my opinion --- the best Daredevil they’re ever gonna get. He was perfect for the role, and I wouldn’t wanna see anybody other than him cast as Matt Murdock. If they can (allegedly, anyway) have Jamie Foxx reprise his role of Electro in Spider-Man 3, why can’t they realistically bring in Charlie as Matt?

I really hope this is something that Marvel would take into consideration once they gain the full rights back from Netflix. Though they do own the rights to Daredevil’s character, their contract with Netflix prohibits them from using his character in the wider MCU for a certain amount of time until it expires, and it’s supposed to expire soon.
