Ugly produce is beautiful! This week I've come across many stories about farmers' produce not being accepted by the biggest supermarkets in the Netherlands, because they are not 'perfect'. Because of the extreme weather conditions, some produce in my garden and many other vegetable gardens or farms are either smaller or not properly developed, just like this corn. It's quite sad to see 'looks' are regarded higher than taste even in Netherlands, which is the agriculture center of the world despite the giant waste problem we have in the world.
