As someone with natural brown hair (the most common hair colour for white women) who now dyes their hair copper, it’s always bugged me.

I know this is like really insignificant in the grand scheme of things and I can just use the generic 💁‍♀️ emoji. But it feels like a subconscious upholding of white supremacist beauty standards.

Blonde should not be viewed as the default for white people. It’s incredibly rare in adults.

Also, are we ready to address the implications of foundation colours always going from light to dark? It seems like yet another subconscious societal preference of light skin people to dark skin people.
