you literally have to unironically listen to some shit like party rock anthem so you don’t kill yourself
unless its egregious, i'm not embarrassed to be fooled by ai. "oh i got lied to via something made by the Lying Machine the machine we made to Lie really well" like it's gonna happen it's no egg on your face. just be chill about it
don't get me wrong. it's always devastating always humbling. no one wants to fall for the lying machine it just sounds bad. but you can't dwell
the situation with harry potter is kind of unprecedented in some ways imo because it is maybe the largest media franchise in history to be created & owned by a single person who still has direct creative control over it. who is also a billionaire with significant cultural/political influence. like the usual "no ethical consumption under capitalism" type excuses shatter on impact when the bigoted author in question is logging onto twitter every day saying explicitly that when you buy the tim hortons ravenclaw donut she is using your donut money to fund the genocide of trans people. like with big franchises usually there's at least a little more diffusion of responsibility than this
no i don't. cheers
"erased in so many stories" which ones. where are they. show me them right now i want to seeeeeee
i saw this somewhere else but reply / tag what you did today so everyone can see that we all did something different today
idk who needs to hear this but it’s healthier for you to just accept that you’re gonna be kinda fat than it is to live the rest of your life miserably trying to monitor yourself to maintain a skinny weight your body doesn’t want to hold onto
more ppl need to get hooked on this drug called album in order. not enough people on album in order these days
"it's a tv show" "it's not real" i don't care. NO SHOES ON THE BED
okay if this breaks containment I think my asian grandparents would be proud of this post being my legacy. but for their sake i must clarify my personal stance. NO SHOES IN THE HOUSE AT ALL
huge fan of when characters love each other and are closely bonded in an explicitly nonromantic way. however ☝️ i am very much not a huge fan of what happens when characters like this are introduced to fandom
environmental storytelling
image: a reply and five responses to that reply. original reply says "Project Hail Mary". this is followed by two replies that are unavailable. then, "What's that one post that like, "people who don't realise they're the demographic the original post is making fun of". then two more unavailable replies. end ID.
mfs be like "are you single or taken" and like technically im single but that implies that im availible, which i most definitely am not so yes im taken. im taken by me. you cant have me.
the mark of a real actor is if they did theater before they hit it big and continue doing theater after. if they didn’t do theater before, then they are hacks and if they stop doing theater after, then they are dilettantes who lucked out. obviously this applies to all actors ever and there are no exceptions.
Ryland Grace and his popularity as a character feels like such an important step in repairing the cultural tsunami left by the long running trope of every genius character needing to be an insufferable asshole to everyone in a ten mile radios about it.
Conversely, Eva Stratt is doing wonders for repairing and inspiring a appreciation for commanding women with dubious moral convictions who are fully willing to bend laws for the greater good without hesitation.
And together they are doing brilliant things by not kissing or hooking up even once.
stop tagging your heated rivalry bullshit with “game changer” im tryna look at gifsets of anna garcia beating up demi adejuyigbe while josh rueben fucks a sam reich mannequin in a baby carrier.
I haven't renewed my subscription what the fuck could I have possibly missed

at some point i might make a post about the way that "sin" is handled in sinners bcuz i feel like it's a really core tenet of the movie that gets overlooked. like the blues is the most obvious thing considered a sin by some characters, causing the division between sammy and the church, but it also applies to slim's alcoholism. and cheating, in the case of mary and pearline. it is not a pure, misunderstood idea of what sin looks like but the story still embraces the characters who act in this slightly morally grey way in the pursuit of freedom and pleasure in a world that is otherwise out to get them. really really important to me that the thematic opposition to the institution of the church encourages you to look beyond the sin, the act itself, and understand these characters' lives as a whole, with what came before them and what lies ahead too. in this way it's not just rebuilding christian morals while rejecting the institution/religion, it's presenting a different, complex, and more compassionate take on morality and the places where morality matters.
