i honestly don't really understand why "some people prefer watching gameplay online rather than playing games themselves" is treated as such a taboo when being a spectator is considered a pretty mundane way to engage with most sports, game shows, reality tv or even just like. chess.

I walked out of Backrooms thinking it was obvious that Clark was living in the furniture store because his wife had a protective order against him or had given him a hard ultimatum about divorce. His whole arc revolves around the slow reveal that he was physically abusing her. He was in therapy because he had to be not because he wanted to be.

Then I get online and see all these people talking about their ~theory~ that he killed her or that he'd been a serial killer the whole time and it's making me feel crazy.

There is no "deeper" evil inside him. He's a run of the mill wife beater who's mad that he's facing consequences for it and that in itself is evil enough to create The Entity.
