something I really don't get is why people characterize regulus as being a genius or super intelligent - this is the guy who bought into the death eater propaganda wholesale, became a fascist murderer and only had second thoughts when it was too late. I do not think my point was unclear but some clarifications for the peanut gallery:

I have no problem with Sirius being portrayed as feminine. The problem lies with the people who take his intelligence, resourcefulness, strength and independence away from him as soon as they decide to portray him as more feminine as if those qualities are inherently masculine traits. If you automatically make him dumber, shallow, vapid as soon as you make him more feminine, that does say something about how you view femininity.

Sirius is intelligent, brilliant, outrageously talented whether he is portrayed as more masculine or more feminine. That should never, ever change.

If you think about it it’s kinda funny how most people in this fandom will take key traits (personality and physical) or life events from Sirius and give them to Regulus; because whenever there’s a poll or something like “who do you relate to” the most voted option is always Regulus, and the people doing this are the ones who are obsessed with him because they relate to him. In POA one of the most important plot points is "how did Sirius Black keep his sanity in Azkaban" and then people want to make him some helpless incapable idiot and explain it with "he is traumatized lol" when actually the interesting thing about Sirius is that despite everything he went through, he was still smart, skilled, loving, passionate, responsible, resourceful and resilient.
