Hi, everyone! I thought I was slowly getting over Tumblr but no, I was just tired of trying to remember my jumbled 14-year-old tags system (what a crazy long time to have spent on here, haha... n.nU) So I'm starting over fresh and moving over to a new blog!

I'm still keeping this one up because there's a lot on here I love and want to look back on, I'll also check in here occasionally! It's just that there's too much history/baggage on here, and also its too much to try re-organize/clean up (...I might try one day, who knows?)

Laimar crumbs

I wanted to compile all my laimar/marios crumbs to be able to look back at them whenever~ These are CRUMBS and I’m not arguing that all these moments have to be seen romantically or anything of the sort, please don’t bring hate to this post,, let me have this joy in life. They are so repressed aghhhh. I could go on forever about how Marcille is special to Laios because she was Falin’s first friend and was the only one to follow him into the dungeon for Falin and not the job, how from the get go they were linked by something more than work and that made him feel more comfortable with her. But my Laimar thesis is essentially: they are so sickeningly-sweet domestic and complementary. And also they’re funny together.

I think part of the point of the story is that none of the characters are really “evil” or even deliberately cruel most of the time, just shows how different personalities interact and how they’re all valid, but we’re all still responsible for our actions.

Our desires aren’t evil but in excess to the point of ignoring other people’s wants or needs is dangerous.

You’ll meet people you don’t understand and that’s ok, but you shouldn’t hate things you don’t understand inherently. You might have more in common with that “other” than you think.

So yeah, Toshiro isn’t evil. He’s just a guy who didn’t speak up clearly and let an assumption go too far, and Laios is a guy who assumed a person not being explicitly cruel to him was his Very Good Friend. Both created miscommunication that led to the inevitable clash, and they show a valuable lesson on the importance of communication.

That’s just life! Sometimes you make assumptions or don’t speak up when you maybe should’ve and things go on for longer than you’d think until it’s too late to clear it up without some hurt. It happens. Neither of them are evil or bad for it.

struggling to put this into exact words but how does one overcome being scattered brained? whenever i try to write on my laptop, i get sidetracked with outlining a different writing project or finding a better software to write in. it also doesn't help that i can physically my energy dipping.

is this an extreme type of burnout and how do i get out of it?

This could be burnout, but I'm gonna be honest with you, as someone diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, it also really sounds like ADHD. Now, I'm not trying to diagnose you on the internet, but I am going to give you my ADHD focus tips to see if they'll help. You can also try them if you're also feeling like it's burnout, but burnout is a long process in which you primarily need to give your brain time to rest. If the following isn't helping, you need to not force yourself to try to write. But I also recommend giving the following a try to see if they help:

Change the medium. A computer connected to the internet is distracting. I handwrite my outline and rough drafts and type my first draft into a portable tablet with limited abilities. On my main computer, there's too many things to distract me from concentrating. I need to get away from them. My outline process uses color coding, flashcards, and sticky notes. It's messy from the outside, but it really helps my brain think about the plot better outside of a blank word document.

Change your location. I do a lot of writing at the library. I'm in the middle of moving (with all the frustrations that causes), but I plan on constructing a workspace area that will be walled off with shelves from distractions (my bed, for example) to help my brain switch from workspace to the space for everything else. You may need to experiment with that kind of space works best for you.

Gauge your peak energy times. No matter how much sleep or how much free time I have, my brain cannot write after 8pm. The ability to put words together just stops. Therefore, I have to adjust my schedule around when I am productive - doing chores before bed rather than when I get home, meal-prep on the weekends so I don't spend an hour making dinner, etc. Spent a week making a note of when you feel the most energized versus the least. Some periods of time are going to be off-limits (like when you're at work). But there's lots of time where you might be able to reallocate to writing.
